아침 식사도 괜찮고, 단 한국 손님이 많지 않아서 인지 한국 식단은 없네요. 리조트가 언덕에 위치 해 있어 해변에서 호텔 가기가 좀 불편하네요. 호텔 Tuk Tuk을 이용할 순 있지만, 매번 이용하기는 쉽지 않은 것 같네요.. 셔틀 버스(트럭?)이 있어서 시간을 미리 예약하고 빠통으로 갈 수 있어서 좋은 것 같습니다. 밤에는 개구리 소리가 좀 시끄럽긴 하지만, 여행 다니느라 피곤해서 인지 개구리 소리 때문에 잠못 이룬 적은 없네요
호텔 특징:
한국으로 돌아갈 때, 호텔 프론트에 얘기하면, 빠통 카론 리조트에 짐을 보관할 수 있고 택시도 거기서 예약할 수 있습니다. 200바투 정도 절약되네요..
check-out시에 셔틀버스타고 빠통에서 점심이나 시내 관광하시고 공항 가시면 비용도 절감할 수 있어서 괜찮네요...

20개월짜리 아이와 놀기 좋은 어린이 풀과 어른용 풀이 함께 있음.
매일 바뀌는 맛있는 아침 부페와 친절한 직원들.
언덕 위에 위치 해서 해변 및 주변을 걸어 다니기에 좀 불편함.
가족과 즐기기에는 복잡한 파통비치보다 좋은것 같음
관광명소 정보:
호텔네 스파나 마사지는 많이 비싸고 근처 카타비치 방향으로 나가면 괜찮고
훨씬 저렴한 마사집들이 많음.

Kindly hotel and good service hotel

위치는 도로 안쪽으로 들어가있어 걸어다니기는 조금 힘이 드는 단점이 있지만 가격대비 친절한 서비스및 아침식사가 맛있고 나름대로 호텔에서 일주일에 한번씩 만드는 저녁 이벤트가 맘에든다.
쇼핑 정보:
호텔에서 운용하는 무료셔틀을 타고 시내에 나가면 재래 시장이 있다.
거기에서는 부르는 가격의 3분1 정도가 적정한 가격이라고 보면 좋을것 같다.
기념품이나 수공예품을 사려면 한번 가보는게 좋을듯하다

Needs to improve on lot of fronts

I was at the horizon karon beach resort and spa along with my wife for 3 days.
First the good:
It's a really clean hotel and the staff were very courteous. The rooms were spacious and had a really big bathroom. They have 2 restaurants on the premises one which is Indian and the other continental which were both decent.
Now the bad:
1. We had booked a pool facing room, the hotel staff upgraded us to a bigger room because the pool was under maintenance. Since the hotel has another pool, they should have technically accommodated us in another pool facing room.
2. The whole purpose of booking this hotel was the availability of Indian food as they have a dedicated Indian restaurant. On reaching the premises we found out that the restaurant was open only for dinner and was also closed on saturdays. This should have been put up on the booking site and also on their website.
3. Couple of the staff are not very proficient in English. So much so, that when I asked for a glass of hot water to drink I was told that the same was not included in the breakfast buffet 'menu' and it would be 'charged extra'.
4. The hotel is not a 'beach property'. The name is misleading. No doubts that the beach is really close and it's a wonderful thing. It would be appreciated if this is made amply clear on their website and in other booking websites too.
But kudo's to the travel and tour desk lady (sorry I didn't get her name) she was really very patient and helpful in answering all our questions and helping us book a wonderful tour. Also if you are an Indian do not fear as 'karan' is there to help you out. Amazing chap and thanks karan.
Overall the location of the hotel is such that it's close to the pristine sandy beach of karon and it's close to a couple of sea food restaurants and shopping areas in karon.
There are couple of pressing issues and some thorns that the hotel needs to work on, but all said and done it's a nice place.

a nightmare, just stay for 2 hours

As i mentioned above, I just stay at this hotel for 2 hours only. After travelling around the globe for more than 20+ years and visited Phuket alone for 6 times...this hotel was my worst experience. The problem started with my request for an easy wifi access. Its stated that i've to call 1 to get the access and when i called, they said i've to go down at the counter to pay and sign. During the registration they have requested for THB 5k and yet i've to walk down again to the counter ( no lift ) just to pay the 500 for the wifi access...whereas hotel normally can link up their payment system like fidelio to deduct from the security deposit...arent they? And to make things worst the front desk manager even argued with me as their customer with high tone of voice...what a nightmare...even i stay at Aspere hotel (3*) in patong last 2 mth the wifi access is very convenient and easy as well. So finally i moved in to holiday inn express patong with free wifi access and excellent service...

Great Resort!
Loved the room, food, & service

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this resort! We were there celebrating our 5 year anniversary & had an incredible stay. The staff decorated our room with lots of rose petals with a nice fruit basket and card that wished us a Happy Anniversary. The staff was very attentive, spoke good English, and provided 5 star quality service. We loved our room and received a complimentary upgrade as well as late check out. Part of the package we bought through Agoda included breakfast and dinner. We weren't really sure what to expect but let me just say WOW. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. There were both set up as buffets and had plenty of options. The dinner had a different themes each night (BBQ, International, Chinese..ETC) and always included lots of seafood options. We also loved the pool and the free transportation to the beach and Patong. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxury getaway for a very reasonable price!
Taxi information: When leaving the airport or going back to the airport, visit the attraction stand and ask for the Van Joy. It only cost 200 baht per person instead of 1000 baht from the other taxis. This is a van that only locals know how and they keep it a secret because taxis are huge money makers for everyone. We took it and enjoyed saving the money.

Tired hotel resting on their laurels

The hotel was generally fine but you can tell it's had better days. They were undergoing a repaint and renovation of a wing, maybe why it was so cheap but the service was bad, in fact the restaurant couldn't serve me the Asian breakfast so I went back to my room and got croissants and then finally my Congee :)

there is no free wifi even in the lobby and some insects, but that's the only downside, value for money specially we have the free dinner, it was not even a crappy dinner. I will definitely be back to this hotel. Cheers to the friendly staff.
