Commfortable stay

We stayed in this hotel for four night. The best thing for this hotel is the convenient location, just 3 minutes walk to the city central bus station, walking distance to King's Park, 2 mins walk to the shops and night clubs. The room is surprisingly large, as well as the bathroom with bathtub. The staffs at the front desk are very friendly. The down side of this hotel are: you have to manage your luggage by yourself on your arrival, there are no toothbrushes and slippers in the room unless you request, everyday... the decor looks old and the room service guy is not very friendly. There's still room for improvement as a 4 stars hotel. Overall it's a good stay in this hotel for us. Value for money.

Love the compact kitchenette!
Good location, very well equipped kitchenette, wifi

Stayed 3 days in this hotel. Husband had some meetings to go to so I happily went shopping, The shops were just around the corner. Good food nearby too.Found the very well equipped compact kitchenette very useful! Free wifi slow but available in room!Carpet in room a bit old but the bed was nice and soft.

fair sized room. bar/resturant downstairs although not part of the hotel . has sink in room

rated 4 stars but has no car parking . city carparking close by but be prepared to walk. nightlife and shopping all close by. huge window but dissapointing veiw at the rear of hotel

I enjoy my days stay at this hotel, clean and friendly staff. Also close to the shopping center. The bus stop just a few minutes walk from the hotel and about 15 minutes to the MRT. I love the free wifi very much.

we stayed in the city 1 night to watch the fireworks. being australia day i thought we would be kept waiting, but everything run smoothly, very quick check in, friendly & polite staff, room upgrade & high floor, big big bonus !!! breakfast the next morning was great value.

Great location, clean room
5-10 minute walking distance to Hay Street Mall, railway station, bus station, Barrack Street jetty fior Swan River cruises, boat to Fremantle etc. Close to eateries in King Street. Has cutlery, cockery, toaster, sink for washing up, iron & board

Stayed 3 nights in January. Room was spacious and clean. All the pros above. Here are some cons. Beds were comfortable although the two pillows per bed consisted of a very soft low pillow and a very hard high pillow. What happened to medium? Low on toileteries - only all-purpose dispenser soap on wall and small bottle of body lotion. No separate shampoo, conditioner, shower cap etc. Bedroom slippers were a bonus. All in all, would stay there again.

Room was quite spacious. Good modern and well maintained facilities. Not much parking available onsite but other options close by. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Location is very central. No onsite gym but access to a gym nearby is provided complimentary.

Very comfortable hotel right in the CBD
Comfortable, clean, friendly customer service, right in the heart of the cbd!

Hotel is located in a very convenient location close to many attractions in Perth city, with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Room was very clean and comfortable to stay in, although the air con could have been better if it was more responsive. Staff were very friendly and willing to help (e.g. When I found that the bathtub plug was not the right size, reception found the correct one and delivered it to my room personally). In terms of amenities/facilities, stay would have been better if there was a swimming pool/spa/sauna or gym, and the TV was very old & sometimes fuzzy.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Somerset, and would consider staying here again if I am able to get early bird discounts!
