Central location”
I liked Alisa Guesthouse; I don't know why rooms in Pakse seem to be pretty expensive overall for a decent place, but Alisa was great for the price. Check in was easy, room is very clean, good wifi, good AC, fridge, cable, etc. I was only there for an overnight stay, but it was very comfortable and had plenty of the amenities. Staff was very relaxed, but so was i. :) They didn't mind at all when I and other guests sat in their lobby for hours after checkout waiting for our next transportation. I had stayed at a slightly more expensive place on the corner before, and for a few bucks less Alisa was equally good.

Very good guest house”
Two overnight stays at Alisa, either side of doing the motorbike loop around the Bolaven Plateau. Friendly, smiling, helpful staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. Hot water, TV and aircon. They organised motorbike hire and bus/boat ticket to 4000 Islands for me, but, apart from a sketchy hand drawn map, they didn't provide me with any information about the bike ride. This would have been useful. I found out afterwards that the Belgian guy at the travel agency a few doors away holds a briefing each evening for people doing the loop. I spoke to a couple of people and they said it was a big help. Wifi only really works in the lobby. No breakfast, but there's a few places nearby so not a problem. Not a great deal to do in Pakse, but it's an inoffensive, laid-back place ideal as a stopover.

Spotlessly Clean”
Alisa Guesthouse is a breath of clean, fresh air. The room as well as common area was spotlessly clean and spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the street. The hot water was plentiful. The staff, although with limited English, are pleasant and personable. The only complaint is, and I know I join a chorus of others, that there is no internet in the room. Nonetheless, excellent value for money.

Pakse central”
We stayed here on three separate occasions coming in and out of Pakse. The guesthouse is centrally located to restaurants, bars , tourist agencies and motorbike rentals. The rooms and lobby were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and they allowed us to leave our bags with them when we went on a four day motorbike tour. We also stayed their after our tour of 4000 Islands. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse not only for it's location but also for the value. Great springboard to get to locations outside of Pakse.

Great value accommodation ”
We had one night booked at Alisa and ended up booking 2 more nights for our stay in Pakse. The air conditioned room was large with a very big comfortable bed and private bathroom. Everything was very clean, including the crisp white bed linen. Staff were polite and helpful. They stored our bags when we hired a motorbike to explore the Bolaven Plateau. Location was great. We had an easy walk to cafes, restaurants, a convenience store and Miss Noy's motorbike hire. The price of accommodation was very good value. There is room for improvement with the following - towels were very thin and tattered, shower head placement flooded the bathroom when used, unpleasant smells sometimes emanated from the bathroom drain.

Nice, Short Stay”
Alisa Guesthouse makes a great base for a stop in Pakse. Plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel. Thanks for the great stay!

Downtown location near restaurants & mini-mart”
We stayed here twice during our travels, both times in a triple room with a balcony overlooking the street. It was a large room, clean with TV, fridge, A/C, 3 single beds & bathroom amenities. The room had 6 lights but only 2 worked so was a bit dim. This was a very popular hotel as both times stayed there they had a FULL sign on the door & turned away many people. The front staff had adequate English & was helpful. Free wifi & worked okay in the room but weak on balcony. There is a great mini-mart across the street & several restaurants nearby, also ATM’s. If in Pakse again, would probably stay there again.

Great stay ”
Great, convenient location. Nice, clean rooms with good AC - especially lovely if you can get a balcony room. We circled around Pakse with a motorbike and ended up returning here several times, because the rooms are reliably comfortable and the price is right. The staff is also lovely - they even helped retrieve our washing from the roof when it blew off our balcony during a storm! Highly recommended.

A simple hotel in the heart of Pakse”
I was happy with my stay at Alisa Guesthouse. The double bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot. The only problem was that the WiFi signal was not strong in my room but the signal was much better in the lobby and there were computers for guests to use.

Decent Guesthouse”
I had a great stay here. I will still pick Alisa Guesthouse for my next trip.

Good value for money”
15usd for a private twin room, fully furnished with A/C, fridge and cable TV is a steal. That said, the facilities are old. The fridge and AC might be a bit noisy for some people who are light sleepers. Also, some of the staff might not be proficient in English and any requests will have to wait until the one who can speak English. Alisa Guesthouse accepts credit cards but do make sure you have spare cash as back up as transactions may not go through.

Great value and location ”
We arrived very early and the staff allowed us to check in. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the bus station coming from Vientiane, abs on the main street in Pakse. It doesn't offer anything fancy but the time are large, clean and with lots of light. There are plenty of places to eat within a 2 minute walk. Great value place to stay.

Lovely balcony rooms”
Clean, comfortable rooms - nice and chilly with the AC, which was a big relief from the heat of Pakse. We particularly enjoyed the balcony rooms, which had a great view and a nice seating area. Would recommend!

Great location”
This was an okay place, great location in Pakse. Rooms were very clean and rooms very large with a/c and hot water. Staff weren't overly helpful or chatty - usually asleep or head in phone, but main issue was no wifi in hotel, so moved just down the road. However, this place isn't that bad, just a bad time with the Comms.

Excellent”
Our quadruple room was clean, spacious with large comfortable beds. The bathroom was also large and the shower worked well. The balcony was handy to have, but it was shared with the room next door and the light was rather too dim to do anything like reading out there. But overall, very good value for money compared to other guest houses in Pakse and we have stayed there twice now.
