Hotel is strategically located with walking distance to visitor centre and trails such as forest walk, chao ping station/ sacred wood station. The hotel also offers shuttle bus to/from visitor centre every 30 mins. Convenience aside, it offers a wide breakfast buffet spread. Would recommend travelers to visit its roof top for sunset & sea of cloud view.

A luxury option ”
If you don’t mind paying, this is the best option in the national forest area. It is clean and spacious considering 2 super king sized bed for my son & myself. The only thing is there’s no air con available in the month of Nov, just heater! so pray that the weather stayed cold, otherwise it’s way too warm. Another choice is to open the window

Stayed in historical building. Was worried after reading earlier reviews but the room turned out to be spacious and clean. Price more expensive than other accommodations in Alishan but after considering the buffet dinner/breakfast(good & interesting spread, healthy with a lot of veg) and location (near to trails), it is worth it. Hotel provides free shuttle from bus terminal/main entrance of national park. Can watch sunset/sea cloud from 7th floor of building.

Alishan House combines history, service and facilities for a high quality stay”
Alishan House provided us with a fabulous stay at a 'must-see' tourist spot in Taiwan. Highlights include: - Value for Money - we were upgraded and had a spacious room, with good views and excellent facilities within the room. We stayed for three nights so had the chance to really appreciate the place, including the rooftop, so we could view the sunset and sunrise. Location - it was good with access to all the nearby walking tracks or access to day trips. The only reason it did not score excellent as there was a reliance on the Hotel's shuttle service to the railway station. Cleanliness - no real issue - the carpet needs steam cleaning otherwise it would have scored it excellent. Staff - were the best we'd experience in Taiwan so far and we have been fortunate overall. We sought advice on tours and general walking information and assistance within the hotel. Facilities - excellent - I particularly appreciated the meal service.

Fantastic location and friendly staff.”
This is the best spot to start your walks around Alishan. Near to the giant trees, sisters lake, Mongolia garden, Zhaoping park and more. The best is the staff. From transporting us from the bus center to booking for sunset railway ticket and bringing us to the railway station was seamlessly smooth. I had booked the smallest room since it is only two of us. Somehow the air con didn’t work and the heat from the fire place was too strong. We end up just turning off the air con and fireplace, and open up the window. Overall good place to stay. Dinner and breakfast is satisfying for us but as always this is subjective to where you come from.
