Very friendly hotel, great value”
The people at this hotel are very friendly and helpful, their English is good. The standard rooms on the upper floor are clean and the ventilator helps during a hot night in Luang Namtha. The bed is large and comfortable although we could feel the bedsprings. Overall very good value and we would return any time. In fact, we also stayed at another guesthouse whilst in Luang Namtha, the Zuela Guesthouse, which charges the same price but the people there are not as friendly as at Amandra.

Friendly Staff & Nice Breakfast”
This villa is located just in front of Old Bus Station. Take touk touk once you arrived to Luang Namtha new bus station to Luang Namtha town (About 9km for 10,000 per person, driver will only move if there are 5 people or you should pay more). It is about 10 minutes walk to Luang Namtha night market. Pretty good to have one night staying here before transiting to Luang Prabang/China. The breakfast although simple but is very nice (scrambled eggs, fruits, bread & tea/coffee)

Best place in Luang Namtha”
Luang namtha is one of best guesthouse experience i have had in laos as an avid business traveller through laos. High quality beds and linens with great atmosphere in the villa. Great vibes throughout, 2 star guesthouse providing 5 star service with free bicycles and also hot water, air con plus all amenities working perfectly. Location is also great as it is next to local bus station and night market. Perfect for your stay in Luang namtha before travelling to your next destination.

2 night stay in luang namtha ”
The staff here are amazing, speak very good English and are so helpful. My phone was broken so they let me use their computer to get in touch with family members. They also booked my bus ticket to vang vieng. There are tours they can book for luang namtha however I just wanted a very chilled 2 days after a very stressful bus ride to get there. Rooms are very clean. Towels and bottle of water provided. Free breakfast is great. Location is great too, night market is just up the road. Would recommend anyone to stay here if they are in luang namtha.

Very good and pleasent place. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpfull and gave us warm welcome and home feeling. The hotel is located on the main road only few mintues walking from luang namthas center: The fresh market, the night market and the all travel agencies are only few mintues away and if you need they give you free bike. Highly recommended!!!

Nice stay”
We had a pleasant stay in Amandra! The room was very spacious and clean if not slightly basic, the price was reasonable and included breakfast, and the location is just a short walk into the main block of town and several great restaurants. Our only complaint was that there was often no one at the front desk to answer questions. Also, it is not very social, so better for travelers who are already paired up. Still, we would highly recommend Amandra!

Great stay, large rooms, nice staff with good English and very nice breakfast of eggs, bread and coffee/tea. The water in the shower in our room could have been warmer but it was okay. Also the room was a bit cool because we were there in late December. But overall I would definitely recommend the stay in Amandra villas. Thank you for the stay!

Fabulous staff and generous accommodation ”
We enjoyed our stay at Amandra Villa because the staff there are so willing to ensure your stay is as great as possible. Our room was upgraded so we had pur own bathroom, a sitting area and large bed away from the road. Some of the plumbing needs an upgrade but worked adequately for our needs. Thanks to staff for all their care while we were there.

Good and clean hotel in Luang Namtha”
This hotel was good. A little bit more expensive than others in Luang Namtha, but the breakfast was good and the twin room was fine. A little bit small for 2 people with 2 huge backpacks, but fine. The shower drain was not working well, so our shower became a small bath and stayed that way for almost 2 days. The toilet would clog really easily. Other than that, it was good. AC worked really well!

Comfortable stay”
We stayed at Amandra guesthouse before and after our three day trek in the NPA. It's a little out of the main strip in town but only a five min walk. The rooms are comfortable for the price. The shower is warm but doesn't have much pressure. Breakfast is simple fried eggs and sliced white bread. The staff don't speak much English but are polite. It's a good place to stay in Luang Namtha and deserves good reviews but it's not in the same league as others 8+ places in other destinations in Laos/ SEA.

Most comfortable hostel ”
This was the best hostel experience I have had in south east Asia. The room was clean and lovely, the bed was so comfortable I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud! The breakfast is delicious- eggs, a baguette with butter and jam, and a plate of fresh fruit. Unlimited coffee and tea. The staff was so friendly- they answered all of my questions and gave me great tips for what to do during my stay in luang namtha. I stayed a day longer than expected!

Room was wonderful and something of the quality I would expect to pay a lot more for. Clean, comfortable, and cozy. Amandra Villa is located on the main strip so all your trekking companies and restaurants are within a short 2 minute walk. I can recommend this place easily.

Amandra Villa is fantastic. It's excellent value and has, by far the comfiest beds we've slept on in Asia. It's clean, beautiful and in a great location. The wifi and breakfast are also good. Highly recommend this place for a few days retreat from traveling.

Basic hotel which serves your needs ”
Luang Namtha is not a place with many luxury hotel choices - if at all - so one must lower one's expectations. Amandra is a small hotel with basic rooms which do the job - comfy bed, serviceable shower (although the hot water can be a bit erratic). The best thing about the hotel is the staff - lovely and always ready to go the extra mile to help a customer. I had problems activating my local SIM and the manager actually spent a good 30 minutes calling the telco, setting up my phone and finally hopping onto his scooter to go buy a replacement SIM for me. They were also very flexible about the room booking - we arrived one day late as we missed our bus out from Chiang Rai and they readily agreed to change our booking to the next day instead of charging us for the first night (which they had every right to do). All in all, a pleasant stay!

Amandra Villa was a good place for us. Cheap, nice breakfast and large room. We got room number one, practically in the lobby so we had traffic right outside the room. Ask for one upstairs if you need more quiet. The staff was really helpful, stored our luggage while we went hiking overnight.

Pricy - but a decent stay. ”
Except for the high price, I don't have anything negative to say about this place. Great rooms, decent WiFi, clean, a pretty big breakfast of Lao standards. The price should be cut by a bit, but since there aren't that many alternatives in Luang Namtha this is probably one of the better places to stay at.
