It is gorgeous! We appreciated having the kitchen separated from the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with groceries we bought in Quepos. And because there is a powder room with the kitchen I could get up earlier than my partner, make some tea, and sit on the beautiful porch to do some birdwatching. The property was also beautiful, and provided lots of opportunity for birdwatching (I got a great view of a male Summer Tanager). Lastly, our host, Rosa, was a great resource for local sites and services. One great tip was to be sure to hike down the path to the beach. It was too late for us to swim, but the beach looked really cute in the small cove below the property. The air conditioning worked very well, and the bed was comfortable. We were able to walk up the road for dinner at Lamia the first night we arrived. It was great to be in such a quiet and private location and still have a restaurant in walking distance.

Rosa was an extraordinary host and a remarkable person. The place ws spacious, private, comfortable, and well-equipped. The yard was beautiful. We heard parrots and monkeys and enjoyed the view from the private terrace. We were reluctant to leave and highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an intimate getaway.
Things I don’t like
A car or bus is required to go anywhere other than Ronny's Restaurant or the local beach because the main road is much too narrow and busy to walk safely, even if you are well-conditioned for the hills and heat. We found the walk down to Quepos on the side road was easier than than going up to the Park restaurants.

Built in a colonial style the house has lots of character - a huge air conditioned bedroom with nice terracotta tiles and a shower you could fit a small army inside. There's also a well-equipped kitchen and a large covered terrace (useful if, like us, you happen to be there in the rainy season) from which you can sit and view the wildlife (monkeys, iguanas, agouti and all kinds of birds from the comfort of your armchair or hammock. Playa La Vaca is just a 5 minute walk away for those wanting a more secluded beach but I would still recommend a car as it's a bit of a walk into the main part of town. Rosa was very welcoming and full of information on where to go and what to see.

Rosa’s place has everything you need and more for the most wonderful stay in Manuel Antonio. The amenities are plenty to make for the most comfortable stay and the surrounding nature and the nearby gardens are beautiful to reunite one with nature. But the most wonderful thing about the entire experience is Rosa, who is the most attentive and kind host I’ve ever had before. Many thanks again Rosa for this unforgettable experience

Things I like
The host, Rosa, was very pleasant upon arrival and spent time explaining the house, area and things to do during our stay. She even scheduled rides to town for us to go shopping and see the town.
Things I don’t like
I didn't like the fact that our stay was for only 2 nights. The house would be excellent for a week long stay or more.
