Best hotel in Thakhek ”

Hotel is right next to the river. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. Definitely the nicest hotel in the area. Staff have very limited English but we were able to communicate with the little Lao we knew and the little English the staff knew.

I think it is the nicest hotel in the town. My room was with river view which was absolutely fantastic. The only bad thing is that during my 3 nights stay they couldn’t fix hot water problem thus I had to take a shower every night in another hotel room next to mine. Otherwise good memories

Great Place to Stay”

We had three rooms for our group, two doubles and a family room that had a double bed and a single. It’s a lovely boutique hotel, facing the Mekong. Fewer than twenty rooms, looks like a plantation house. Very clean, pretty good breakfast, helpful staff. This part of the Lao Republic is very chill. Restaurant is adjacent to the hotel with a riverside extension opposite. Lots of parking underneath the hotel if you are driving. Close to the bridge to Thailand, easy, uncrowded border crossing. Thais and Laotians can cross the river quickly by boat, but all foreigners must use the bridge. Easily done by bus if you are interested. We were very happy with this lovely property and its staff.

This is a first class hotel. It is on Singapore Road, and would fit in Singapore: spotlessly clean, everything works as designed, the staff are professional, well dressed and helpful. The hotel restaurant across the road on the bank of the Mekong is just the place for a sunset drink and dinner.

Nicest hotel in Town”

This hotel is extremely clean and has nice architecture however, the cost is pretty high for what it is. However there probably isn't a nicer hotel in town.

Nice Place”

A good choice if within your budget. Nice rooms, beautiful location right on the river, good food / included breakfast. Don was super helpful, and helped me rent a motorbike when the local shops were sold out.

Great Breakfast, Nice Rooms (but noisy)”

They hotel building is nice. Almost an antique look to it, however the building echos. The trick is to wedge a thick ball of paper in your door seal to stop the vibration. The breakfast was excellent! We loved the meal. Great value for your money.

We were a big group, some rooms we booked were prepaid, and some were not. Despite that we called ahead of time asking the hotel to hold our rooms as we'll arrive late, they still did not do so. Anyway, it was resolved in the end, luckily. One of the (9) rooms we booked had clogged toilet and after moving to another room, the water heater was not working. Other than that, the hotel is relatively tastefully furnished and the breakfast was a nice change of freshly made eggs and ham, combined with self-helping to beverages and fruits.

The staff of the hotel are very nice and friendly but speak little or no english at all. But they make it up with their kindness. Upgrade the breakfast and this hotel get the maximum points from us. We come back on 21 August 2016.

Nicest place in town”

It's a deal if you get a good rate on Agoda. The rooms are very nice, clean, and have what you need. Location is great. Staff are nice, although a little bit clueless. The restaurant across the street on the Mekong is great for sunset drinks and food.

Comfortable hotel in fantastic location ”

We highly recommend this immaculate colonial style hotel. King deluxe room was extremely comfortable though you have to go Extra deluxe to get a balcony overlooking the Mekong. Great bed and linens. Their restaurant is directly overlooking the Mekong with a spectacular view of the brilliantly lit temples on the Thai shoreline. Food was good and a great place for a cocktail with a stunning view. Staff was friendly and tried to be helpful but English is limited. Not a problem to us.

Very differnt size in rooms. Some are quite tiny. Breakfast of good quality but small and very controlled quantity! Staff generally too little english speaking. Overall ratio quality/price depending on room and preferences.

A Night in Thakhek!”

We spent a night at Le Bouton Dor Boutique Hotel on 5 July 2018. It's quiet place but still doing some renovation. the children said, " they serve the best breakfast:pork rice soup and baguette with egg and hot dog." The manager is friendly and helpful, who knows everything about his home town.

Staff was very friendly and helpful to ours needs we booked a room on the wrong date and was able to fix it and let us have the room since it was available.

Possibly the best hotel in Thakhek”

Family room was large and comfortable. Hotel seems well maintained staff were friendly. The breakfast wasnt really worth getting out of bed for though.

Great hotel, though no hot water ”

Perfect to rest though there was no hot water in the shower, and it was a bit of noise coming in from the lobby and from outside which made it less worth the money. We slept well and the beds were comfortable and the staff is kind.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful,it has a French feel too it and every little detail is quality.The staff were always helpful and polite,their English was passable as was their Thai.Breakfast was a pleasure .Only downside was there was no view at all from my window.Located on the Mekong and walking distance to bars and restaurants.
