Find hotels near Baiyun District in Guangzhou, China

My business associate from Guangzhou asked me to stay in Baiyun area so that it is near his factory. When I see Hilton Baiyun on agoda, I booked it immediately. Unfortunately the location is not near the airport nor the Baiyun city. Nevertheless, Hilton always delivers with their international standards.They serve very good breakfast. Great team, great rooms, great facilities and a very comfortable stay.

The place is huge. The taxi driver dropped us off at Bldg 5 and it was a half-mile walk to bldg. 1. The room was clean in general, but the pillow and sheet smells a little, possibly due to the humidity of the area. But the hallway really smells, like the dumpster of a Chinese restaurant. The other drawback is the hotel locates in the middle of nowhere. It's right at the foot of Baiyun mountain, but far to the entrance of the tourist area. The surrounding area is still under development. To walk to the nearest subway station, we had to walk through muddy road. There are a few restaurants within the hotel, but they are all pricy, comparing to places in the city. We ate at one of them and the food was not good. Overall, this is an OK hotel, convenient and generally clean. I can forgive the pricy food and the little trouble in getting around from there.

This is the second time we have stayed at this lovely hotel eventhough it's not in a very accessible location in the Baiyun District. Try to take a room with view of the lake is what we'll recommend. The rooms are nicely appointed and has all the amenities you'll need except for wifi in the rooms and a proper mini bar fridge would be nice to keep our stuff chilled. Breakfast is quite good with a nice spread of Chinese and western options and staff are always helpful.

My stay was awesome!! Tianda hotel is close to everything. You can shop around. The Mart and seven eleven in Front of the hotel. McDonald's is in the same building. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Lee was the best!! Ask for anything for your room it will be there in a sec. I stayed fourteen days, but l felt if time allowed l could stay longer. There is security you don't have to worry. They can arrange taxi for airport transport. There is a bank and lots of Atms very close to the bank. I also tried the restaurant in the 3rd floor l enjoyed the Chinese Cuisine plus you get 15% discount if you show them your room card. The best housekeepers are at Tianda. The hotel only need to give bottles of water every day. For business travellers l can recommend this hotel. I will be booking Tianda on my next trip.

When i booked via internet it said 4 stars hotel but when got there it's self saying is 5 stars hotel. But The room is spaces and comfortable , with qiet environment. when went out for town visiting taxi cost $45 but later know that at the front road there's 804 bus route , it only $2 , very economic and can felt the local people's life , if not afraid of long standing it's really terrific , it took an hr to the town center ( due to traffic jam ) Other thing was good of the hotel was nearly $400 including breakfast ( buffet )0700-1000 we might leisurly eat at the restaurant ( if air con higher will be given 100 marks but it turn on low , we used to cool air con in HK so felt a bit hot there ) other compliment to the restuarant was if we missed the dinner we might had late dinner as late as 2200 hrs. It only provide 2 bottles of distill water , if finished & asked for more it cost $5 per bottle , just wonder such big hotel will charge water to customers. And I found some room were provided fruits, mine wasn't ,actually local fruit not cost much if all provided a basket that all customer will be warm at heart . The room cleaning not including adding essential things eg tissue paper , lived there 6 days had to asked twice , it shouldn't happened in a 5 stars hotel. Anyway , with this price booked via Agoda , I still recommanded others to book in this way as the price cut down more then half.

Not a bad stay overall. Location is not bad, but not close to a Metro station. Which makes it difficult to access via public transport. Have to take a Taxi everytime. No TV channel is in English which makes it difficult for non Chinese guests. Five star hotel should have a leisure club like a swimming pool or a gym, but no facilities like that. Not even room service. If you use the hotel just for a place to shower and sleep its a good place to stay.

The Hotel is quite old, but neat and clean. Even though not all staff could speak English, they are very eager to help. The hotel is a bit far from Metro station, you have to walk for 10-15 minutes to the nearest Metro station. However it is easy to catch a taxi from outside the hotel and the bellboy will help you catch the taxi. It takes about 40 min to go to the airport from this hotel. I stayed there during winter and the heater in the room was working nicely. Overall I enjoyed staying in this hotel.

I have booked three rooms one day ahead. On arrival, receptionist did not check and insisted that no bookings that day. I called agoda hk but quite a wait until I can talk to customer service. Problem solved quickly but it's just reflected the unprofessional training of hotel staff. Mountain view rooms were actually facing buildings. However . ,rooms were neat and clean and spacious. No central air con maybe low guest rate, which was ok for me. I was glad the hotel was quite. Swimming pool has no water. The hotel was located in a local community which was definitely not a mountain lodge. Many local eateries which were cheap even for Guangzhou standard. I probably won't be staying again.

2F Restaurant should have more business as there are so much to eat! Also chefs, receptionists, waiters and waitresses are all very well-taught and polite. The chef who kindly brought salmon sashimi just before closing time last month when we stayed, recognised us(?) and kindly brought some deserts (deserts are available in the morning and evening, morning deserts are less). I always felt thankful to those people, As the people working here are truly kind to whoever customers are, we would love to return to this hotel. Because the location is slightly out of the central part of Guangzhou, the price is lower than other five star hotels but I feel in my mind, people are deserved 10 stars(*^^*) I think the owner of the hotel is very lucky to have found good people to work for this hotel. I feel more foreign people started to recognise this hotel as a good one.

if you have business meeting in this area, this hotel is good for your money. but the problem is they dont have laundry service. The room dont have heater function. not like 7days Inn, they have heater and you can wash your cloth and hang it under heater. subway metro is far. you need to go there by taxi, Didi ( Uber ) or motorcycle. McD is next door but i dont eat McD often. i didnt see any entertainment here.

Good - The location is 5 min walk from the subway and there is a McD, 7-Eleven literally downstairs. Across the street is a Lotus Supermarket Plaza along with a Watson's Drugstore, and other eateries. It's not a fancy area, it's a safe working class style neighborhood. Bad - On the first day when I walked into my room I could smell pee in the bathroom. Immediately asked the staff to clean and scrub it down. On the last day when I woke up I found I had flea bites all over my arms.

It's just far away downtown, and I did not find out a big super market. However, I was there for Canton fair, the hotel has shuttle to transfer guests from the hotel to Canton fair, so it's available for transportation. I thought it's the best choice for me to stay at this hotel instead of crazy with cheaper hotels arround Canton downtown. But the Hengda hotel resort is really nice and value with its 5 star grade
