Why I like with this hotel is the location because it is near in the Metro and Indigo Mall. It is also near the airport that's why when you travel at night the taxi fare is not that expensive because in China taxi have surge at night.

Basic. Cold in winter. ”
Location is great if you know a little Chinese, or have friends that do. Subway and buses are at hand. It's an old style building so if nice decor or hand held showers that don't flood are important to you, go somewhere else. Book ahead to get a better price, and you'll find you won't get a better hotel in the area for that price. If you are new to travel in China and you are used to Western standards, expect limited English, low standard decor, hard bed, threadbare towels. That's China. However the heating was poor (unusual) and if you stay in winter, be prepared to wear a little more. I recommend the hotel and will be staying there again, I hope.

Staff went above and beyond to help me get situated on my first few nights in China... walked me to the nearest bank, showed me some nearby restaurants, was very patient with the language barrier.

It was great, as for our purpose the location was ideal. If you want to visit central beijing, it may be a bit far. Especially the staff was very amazingly nice and helped out in any way the could. Thank you again.

perfect budget hotel ”
I booked this room for a friend visiting who wanted to spend as little as possible while staying near to 798. After researching all budget hotels in the area we decided on Jiali Hotel and were extremely satisfied. The hotel.is clean, staff at the front desk can wcwn speak a little English, the rooms are nicer than all other budget hotels including Chinese hotel chains like 7 Days and Hanting. The bathrooms are also clean but very basic, which is the only detail Western travellers should be prepared to accept- the showers are quite small, but again, absolutely no complaints about cleanliness or anything else. Absolutely good value for money if you want a hotel in the art district area.
