Best Bungalow in Sihanoukville Province

I was happy I chose the Sakal Bungalows. I live in Cambodia and am used to simple guesthouses and hotels but I didn't have experience in Sihanoukville and chose Sakal Bungalows online because it was close to the port. The public areas were nice and clean and the staff were generally very helpful and friendly. The room itself was not so different from other less expe...

My stay was great. I was sadly only there for one night but the dinner was delicious and great value and the room was lovely. I am a fan of natural looking bungalows and this one had everything required-mosquito net, good lighting, fan, mosquito burner. The staff were friendly and got up to cook me breakfast at 6.30 to help with my transfer to the airport. I would m...

A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THIS HOTEL - BUT WE WERE A LITTLE WORRIED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF OUR VALUABLES IN OUR ROOM - ALTHOUGH WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE PROPERTY, I CANNOT RECOMMEND SIHANOUKVILLE AS THERE ARE VERY THINGS OF INTEREST IN THE AREA - SIHANOUKVILLE WAS ONE THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF MY 50 YEARS OF TRAVELING THE WORLD

We stayed 2 nights here. The room was quite clean and comfortable, with pool access, so we can just open the rear door and go swimming. It locates in the middle of Serendipity, the most joyful zone of Sihanoukville. It's about 500 metres from the hotel there are so many bars and restaurant, the price generally is okay. We will choose this hotel if we come here for holi...

Had an amazing stay here - well-maintained bungalow with super friendly staff! Bungalow opens right up to the beach; woke up to the sound of waves. Bring insect repellent and use the mosquito net at night (bugs not specific to Saracen Bay Resort; we experienced it on other parts of the bay too). Super close to one of the jetties - take the yellow speedboat from Sihano...

We loved our stay at Huba Huba. Koh Rong Samloem is a beautiful island and Sunset Beach, where the bungalows are located, is particularly special with much fewer people and developments than the other side of the island. We stayed in a garden hut set back slightly off the beach, it was basic but very charming and had a good mosquito net! The shared bathrooms were gene...

We liked it. What we saw, one of the best Bungalows on the Island. The new Manager there is very helpful and nice. To the wonderful Saracen-Beach its just a few minutes walk, but you can also use the Beach right in front of your Bungalow. The only thing we cannot recommend is the Restaurant. The food is bad, the staff there are very unmotivated and its dirty and smells...

Not really an "eco" village, as the lodge runs on a generator, but solar power has some advantages. Nice wood lodge managed by foreigners with friendly and hard-working local staff. Tried several of the resorts on Saracen Bay and the food here is easily the best on the beach. It's also a good value. The tent bungalows have solar-charged batteries, and there's usually ...

Otres beach 2 is definitely the place to stay in Sihanoukville. And Honeymoon Bungalows is good option for staying there. I pretty much agree with other reviews, but I wasn't particularly bothered about the construction noises, and I'm not even very good sleeper. Close enough to the beach and very peaceful (apart from the occasional construction noises.)

The bungalows are on the west side of the island, and to get there you have to walk 45 minutes through the jungle(rock climbing and through mud). The whole time just remember that there is a beach on the other side but be careful, on the last day my girlfriend sprained her ankle. Otherwise take the only boat that leaves from the Dive Shop in Sihanoukville at 7 AM. Th...

My wife and I stayed for 5 days at the MoonFlower and it was excellent! Clean, affordable, quiet and charming. It's a 8 minute walk from Otres Beach, with a few restaurants around. Paul, the manager, was super friendly and attentive, from arranging tours and motorbikes to go to Sihanoukville (15 min drive) to giving some ice to put on my wife's sprained knee. Great sta...

The Sok San Longbeach Bungalows (not to be confused with the Sok San Beach Bungalows and Sok San New Beach Bungalows which are both nearby) provided an excellent base camp for exploring this remote and quiet side of Sok San. We stayed there for 4 nights. The beach cannot be beat. You have to walk to the southern side of the beach to get the best sunset views but there ...

Koh Rong is a nice island, but it's not paradise. Our room was at Sok San Beach, from the main pier you have to take a slow boat. The boat trip takes about 45 minutes and will cost $20 - $30 per boat. So try to share with other people! At Sok San there was one reception for different bungalows/resorts. We actually had a room, not a bungalow. The beach is nice, but this...

I had booked 4 nights but stayed another 3 nights, because I really enjoyed the place and the surrounding. My beach bungalow was just a couple of meters from the sea, and I've almost never slept so good ever, every night as I did now. Sok San Beach Bungalows is in the north part of the 7 km long beach, and there are some more bungalow resorts and even a small local fis...

Eco Sea Dive Bungalows was very nice place to stay. Before we arrived to the island we went to the office at the mainland and there was nice staff who told us about the island and there was nice man who walked us to the harbour and told us right ferry and where to stay off so it was very helpfull. At the island there was private harbour, one restaurant, one bar and bun...

I really enjoyed staying on this side of the island. A very simple and easy lifestyle, if you walk up long beach you basically feel like you have the gorgeous island to yourself, and everyone's really friendly cos there are so few people over there. Only thing is there was a bit of local drama every now and then, and I was only there for 3 nights. It seems a group of d...

Awsome bungalow for not much expensive cost. White Beach near with main pier of island but enough far to avoild some big n crazy noise from crown of hotels/ restaurant/ bars/ pub near main pier in night ---> I very very like this point of WB. WB have best clean beach with white sand of Koh Rong Insland. I also recommend all to check WB's food. They do well in Thaila...

Otres beach is the only good part of Sihanoukville as far as we could tell. It's a beautiful stretch of beach with nice, friendly locals and lots of other travelers. Otres Lodge looks to be one of the nicer places to stay and we were happy with our choice to spend two nights there. Staff was nice and the bungalow was pretty good. It was hot though and without being...

We enjoyed our stay. The bungalows were basic, located amidst the trees and plants but also near the sea. There was no water coming out of the tap in our bathroom which made it difficult to wash your hands and face. I had to put the shower spray into the sink and turn it on and off. The manager's response was a shrug. He eventually changed our bungalow. The lounge a...

We were very happy with our stay at Sahaa. Sihanoukville itself is still in early stages of development for luxury accomm, so a lot is still backpacker hostels and starting to see big casino style hotels. So we were really happy with our choice of Sahaa which was a boutique hotel, which felt premium, personal and great value for money. The place is beautifully deco...

We have been to Sihanoukville by beginning of 2015. The place is great and as in the pictures very very nice. The owners are French, but they speak English very good. The place has also a great location, 3 minutes from the beach but far from the noisy beach night life. I will definitely want to come back here and for sure I recommend this place as one of the best in...

We stayed at Otres Marina for two weeks. Our stay was wonderful and we looked forward to the delicious breakfast everyday. Compared to other bungalows we saw on the beach, this place was clean, free of bugs and had hot water. We loved it. The only downsides were: lack of wifi (we could connect to another guesthouse), did not have 24 hour reception (when we did use them...

For the price and the location is definitely worth it. The bungalows are just in front of a wonderful white beach. Facilities are ok according with the situation on the island which has just few hours electricity a day. The staff is nice and the place is clean. Basic bathroom. Recommended for total relax and disconnection from busy and stressful times.

We arranged a pickup from Saracen bay and when our ferry arrived from Koh Rong, the staff was already waiting for us. Arriving at the the bungalow we were greeted and welcomed by the staff and was given all the information we need for our stay, also to feel free to ask them if we need anything. Facilities -They provide kayaks, mask and snorkel, swimming goggles, badm...

I booked a bungalow which included breakfast in the duster hotel just a few mins stroll away. The breakfast is delicious and easy worth $8 on its own. My room was cleaned every day. Fridge, air conditioning, hot shower all worked perfectly. Plenty of shelf soace & ganging area for clothes.

I stayed here 2 nights in the beginning of Jan 15. The bungalows Its location is quite good, just 1-2 minutes from pier. Although the Agoda website shows that it's located in the sea, it's very easy to find it -- you just need to follow the trail. The bungalows are clean and new. Food is good and staff is superfriendly. In the evening you can sit and talk with the own...

Like many reviewers of this place I booked the garden view room and was upgraded for no charge to a pool view room. The three best things about this place are its location to Otres 2 (5 minutes walk, best beach of Sihanoukville), the complimentary breakfast buffet, and the pool. And it should really go without saying since it's in Cambodia, but the service was of cou...

Great place, lovelt bungalows, incredible views. Each bungalow has its own bathroom, electricity is 24/7 although no I-net, only in the eateries down by the beach. The staff are helpful, Mr.Lucky is a good fun. The only problem is the everlasting noise either from the music or the construction but that can.hardly be avoided on.this island. You kinda take the bad with t...

This was our first time to Koh Rong Island. As soon as we got to the island by speed boat, they already sent a small boat to pick us and took us further to the resort, which locates in one of the most beautiful beaches we knew, with white sand and crystal clear water. They took us and our luggage directly to our quiet tiki bungalow among the trees without bothered to ...

It was amazing. We booked three nights in a bungalow followed by 2 nights in a dorm. Neil, one of the owners is a legend and was around pretty much 24 hours for a bit of banter and to fulfil our every wish. The breakfast is great, the rooms are clean and the bungalows fun to stay at (including our friendly pet lizard Frank!) - and the island itself is a dream!!! Jump o...

For the price it is.great, We had the rooms with air conditioners, which were great but hardly used as the breeze from the beach was enough. The staff were friendly and helpful. We met the builder of the place who had excellent English, he was very helpful and arranged anything we required, We were there in the off season so it wasn't busy. There are bungalows and ba...

Harmony Home is like an upscale beach bungalow. Though all the staff were incredibly friendly, there were a few things about the accommodations that made my stay inconvenient and frustrating. First, one of the reasons I booked here was for the pool. Though the pool was blue (and not green), it was still apparent it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Debris from trees is...

Although the weather was cloudy and rainy when we boarded the boat from Sihanoukville to Koh Rong, but we're so excited when we arrived at the Coconutbeach bungalows in Coconut Beach - Koh Rong. Robbie the owner of this Bungalows and some of his staff were waiting for us at the dock and they brought our bags up to our room. We were 8 people and we chose 2 family room b...

I don't like it but I feel that I gonna start from negative feedback. So, We were really disappointed by the entire island area once we stepped out of the ferry boat. He whole beach line was full of garbage, no pick up was provided so we just walked around 20 minutes having jumped over the muddy brooks under the burning sun. There were only 2 people in the staff for th...

Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms. There are cheaper places to stay in sihanoukville but this place has the perfect location on the beach with a great bar! Rooms were clean (sand does tend to get everywhere but that's to be expected) and staff always greeted me with a smile. Will be coming back here!

Staying Mpai Cottages was really nice. We stayed two nights. It was clean, simple and the first time I stayed in a bungalow. Since it was close to the jungle we had a big gecko in our bungalow, but we didn't mind, the island and the jungle are nature, and the animals belong. :) I liked the trees and the nature around. I can recommend to stay there if you do not look...

Great location (only 4 minutes to the beach) between Otres 1 and 2 and far enough away from the masses of tourists in Sihanoukville or the beginning of Otres 1. There is a supermarket 2 minutes away and some smaller restaurants but we recommend to eat there. The food was awesome (we had amok chicken, lok lak and the local steak as well as breakfast and fruit shakes). T...

This place is great! We are not use to sleep in a tent, so we didn't feel that we had much space for our bags but that didn't matter. The toilet was nice and clean. We love this place. There is a little pool, it's close to the beach, it is a quiet area and the owner is great! We felt so welcome here!

It was an awesome stay. For the rate of 40$ a night during New Year's time, it was definitely worth the money. Plus, they offer free pick-up to their property from anywhere around Sihanoukville area. Breakfast was good, although of limited choices. The location is okay, just a few minutes walk to Otres Beach, the quietest and cleanest beach in town. The swimming pool ...

Staff was fine enough but really didnt have a clue as to what was going. After I got finally got checked in I went to my bungalow .Barebones It best. Padlock on the door is your security. It looked somewhat clean if you take away the fact there was still trash the can and the bathroom had a snail in the corner of the bathroom wall! Ive stayed in worst I was simply ex...

stayed at smile resort as a group of three and found the room size as more than adequate for a semi comfortable stay. The bathroom was a letdown with no hot running water and the bathroom door not being able to be closed. the cleanliness of the room was average for a bungalow with dead geckos on the roof and walls and holes in the mosquito nets. this place needs som...

Best place to stay at Koh Rong! The hotel is located at the best beach of the island. The bungalows are super comfortable and spacious. The restaurant has delicious food and the hotel offers a variety of fun activities! If you are planning on visiting this Island this is the place to stay!

Hot shower!! Polite staff. Pool for if and when the local sellers on the beach get a bit much (though was pretty busy/full with Cambodians at the weekend). Outside sitting area outside every room. Extended our stay for a dollar less per night. You can store valuables in their safe (must be in an envelope, if you dont have one they charge $1) for free. We stayed in a do...

Everything was perfect. Beautiful apartment overlooking the plaza more. Sometimes a cow will be around. :) The owner is amazing and fair man. I enjoyed a lot of fun there. Absolute relax... For couple it's beautiful and romantic place. I warmly recommend. Thank you friends for the wonderful experiences and a lot of laughter. Max ... ,)

We were put in the wrong room and breakfast was a disaster, we ended up going to the next hotel for an awesome breakfast. The owner gave me back $20 on his own accord and sincerely apologized for our difficulties. The hotel on any other day would probably have been a better experience. I do recommend this hotel but communicate with the owner for best results. Th...

We stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of December in a Classic Double Room on the top floor of the tower, room 222. We really enjoyed both the place and our room. We liked: The Room - comfy bed, fridge, AC and great view. Close to the beach - Just a ~5 minutes walk to the empty part of the 3 km long Otres beach. After visiting most beaches around we still felt thi...

The staff are great, communicating right after I made my booking, my boat ticket and adjusting it when I couldn't make it on time. Constantly in communication. Special stars for Mr Virak and Mr Cheang, really good handling of guests. Location is ideal, but some may be bothered by the mangrove (love the sense of privacy it provides) and the natural 'dirt' that gets wash...

This is located just by the pier to get to the surrounding islands so it's fantastic if you want to do some day trips. A Tuk Tuk or taxi can't take you right up to it because it's right on the beach, so you have to walk just a tad but it's not far...maybe 4 businesses before you get there. The food was so excellent especially the salads. We were in the new part which w...

•Stayed in Sihanoukville for 4 nights over New Year and this was the only available hostel we could find. • Stayed in Monkey Republic the other 3 nights which was nice with a nice restaurant and bar. • This was a very unsafe, strange hostel with bugs everywhere. •On arrival, we were given a padlock for our door as the lock didn't work. • We were also told to keep our b...

As advertised a very basic bungalow with a bed, fans, bathroom. No other facility at the time I was there, which was ok I was looking for a quiet and private place to recover after some serious partying in Cambodia. Friendly exchanges with other guests and helpful manager who booked my private cab for Phnom Penh. Lots of eating places and helpful places (laundry, mini...

My boyfriend and me stayed three nights at the eden sea side and enjoyed our stay! We had the bungalow with sea view (make sure you book this one) and had the most amazing view! Imagine you wake up and look through your window, beside your bed and can look over the bay! 10s Walk to the beach and if you walk 5 min you will find some more crouded restaurants and bars. ...

Nice place, room was very comfortable and internet was good. Very peaceful and tranquil , except for the dogs barking from the nearby area late into the night. The owner might want to look into that. Otherwise, it's a new place , that is very clean and comfortable and I would come back again.

Pros... It's 10 seconds from the beach; room, bed and bathroom are big. Its a good choice if you don't want a wooden bungalow. Cons... Staff is INEXISTENT (some random guy helped us with a water shortage at night because there was noone from the hotel). No hot water Crappy wifi. Its expensive for what it is, but every accomodation place in the island is.

Hiro, the owner, was incredibly nice and accommodating. He gave my girlfriend some of his medicine for some stomach issues she was having without asking for anything in return. He provides tours and excursions around the island for a reasonable price that I heard (could not join because of my GF’s illness) were well received. The bungalows are tucked far away enoug...

Owners were so welcoming and more like friends to us and we enjoyed a few of their cracking Kingdom draught beers together with lots of laughs! The staff were great too and always willing to help. There is a lovely local resteraunt next door which also serves western food. The bungalows were recently built so no problems there and they are just a short walk from the be...
