Very Bad Experience”
The staff speaks little English, however we found them very friendly and lovely which is why we are disappointed we have to unfortunately leave a horrible review. For starters, the room was filthy. Being backpackers, we aren't extremely picky and have slept in some very interesting and not the most luxurious places (sleeping buses, airports, etc.) But, Champa Hotel put us a bit over the edge. The floors were covered with dirt, a rug for the bathroom caked with mud, and sheets that had clearly not been changed. I crawled into bed after a very long bus ride and a quick shower.. to then crawl in a bit deeper and found a giant blood stain on my sheets. My friends sheets were dusty, so we went down to ask for a new set because of obvious reasons. We were given new sheets that still had stains, but sucked it up. Next morning, we were ready to relocate.. but wifi did not work in the rooms or down in the lobby. We had to pay for a coffee at a cafe across the way just to get some wifi.

Ended up staying in a different place”
This hotel isn't very near walking distance to the town center (minimum 10 minutes), so it was quite a hassle and costly to use tuk-tuk all the time. In the end, we decided to rent a motorcycle to move around. After seeing how far this hotel was from most shops, we decided to move to another hotel closer to town. We had rather forfeited what we paid for 2 separate stays, than to endure staying there. There are not many shops either around this hotel. It's facing the main highway, which is very dusty and busy with vehicles. Staffs though friendly, could not understand English, so couldn't be very helpful. We had to communicate in "sign language". The mattress was pretty hard, but I must say the shower room was comfortably large, and at least they had heated water. However, wouldn't ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

The place is adequate but look run down. The staff can not speak english well but helpful if you can manage to make them understand what you want with your sign language. Good for back packers and those that want to take local bus as one of the several bus stations in the town is just a 5 minutes (or less) walk away.

Location near market”
5 min walk from bus station but 10 min tuk ride to centre. Okay rooms, air con just gave out heat though which didn't help. Staff know very little English, more French. They did help us flag a bus down on the road to Vietiane though. Prices for beer and rooms were inflated by the staff despite there being a price list in the wall...not too smart.

Quaint Hotel, Large Rooms, and Lovely Staff”
I had a really excellent experience at this hotel. The rooms are really lovely, and the staff changes sheets every single day (unlike a lot of hotels these days). While most of the staff didn't speak English, the one who did was extremely helpful and friendly. Though the location is totally off the beaten track (far from the river), if you stay here, you get to visit the local open markets and places where tourists rarely venture. Highly recommend. As a female solo traveler, I felt especially extremely safe at this hotel.

Nous avons été accueillis par une personne qui ne parlait pas anglais. La propriétaire est arrivée, très froide quand elle a vu notre réservation avec Agoda et nous a parlé un peu en anglais pour nous donner la clef de notre chambre avec notre arrivée matinale, sans supplément. La chambre avait deux petits lits avec une salle de bain avec baignoire, eau chaude et WC. Literies dures. Les murs sont très fins, on entend tout ce qui se passe dans la chambre d'à côté et dans le couloir. Le WiFi ne fonctionnait pas dans la chambre mais uniquement dans l'accueil. Je suis allée demander si c'était normal ou s'il y avait un problème mais la personne à la réception ne parlait pas anglais. Merci google translate ! Mais je n'ai eu aucune réponse proposée. Lorsque j'ai voulu avoir des informations sur la ville et les éventuelles excursions, la personne présente à l'accueil ne parlait pas non plus anglais. J'ai demandé à passer un coup de téléphone à une agence de voyage dans la ville. Ça a été compliqué d'y avoir accès et j'ai dû payer 30000 kips pour 2 appels dans la même ville pour organiser notre excursion sur le plateau du Bolavens. Bref, à fuir si vous avez besoin de renseignements et que vous ne parlez pas laotien.

C est eloigne de tout. Quasi aucun restau alentours. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais. Les chambres sont deprimantes. La seule chose postive est que la proprio est tres aimable.

sur le document publicitaire de cet hôtel il est écrit que le personnel parle français et anglais, ce qui est absolument faux. il m'a fallu un bon quart d'heure pour obtenir de l'eau chaude (je l'ai demandé en anglais). pour avoir la wifi il faut sortir de la chambre.

il personale non parla una parola di inglese ma nonostante ciò è molto disponibile ed amichevole.l'hotel è a due passi dalla stazione dei vip bus ma a un paio di chilometri dal centro,è un po' datato e rivolto principalmente ad una clientela locale e thailandese tuttavia la pulizia della struttura e la cortesia del personale rendono il soggiorno piacevole. abbiamo prolungato la nostra permanenza anche per questo motivo.non servono colazione.il cambio delle lenzuola è giornaliero.wi-fi nelle zone comuni.
