Best Service at amazing price”
The hotel is within a peninsula as its name suggested, which is hard to find for some taxi drivers. Impressed by the decorations in the lobby. The bed is truly king sized and TV is available in the bathroom. The hotel has Shuttle bus from the hotel to the theme park across the river which is convenient.

I booked my hotel 2 hours before I check in during public holiday, hotel didn't receive my booking when I check in. But amazingly front desk still offer me alternatives without panic or rejection which is often in china, it was so impressive! Besides I asked for DVD player which says always available in agoda's description, although it wasnt ready when I check in, but hotel immediately ask technician to setup for me in 10 mins! I really appreciate the service although I just stayed one night only! Definitely recommended hotel in Guangzhou!

it is definitely the best value hotel in guangzhou. price to hotel room quality is very high. the hardware of hotel facility is very high. however, service is not following its quality of rooms. it is a bit far from city of guangzhou.

Excellent deal, comfortable, clean and pleasant”
this hotel offered the amenities the same amenities that the other 5 star hotels in the area do, but at a much better price. the food at the e-cafe is pretty good quality, and there is a large selection. the swimming pool(s) were gorgeous, and very under utilized.

Beautiful hotel in wrong place”
This five star hotel is beautiful in every sense. The decor and furnishings both in the public spaces and in the rooms are stunningly lavish and it seems no expense has been spared. Staff are obliging and helpful - in fact there seems to be three people to do every job! The problem with the hotel is its name and location and these two things are linked. The hotel is one of two of the same name. They are sister hotels differentiated by their locations. Unfortunately for us the other hotel was better known than ours. This was reflected in the fact that no less than four times (out of five!) the taxi drivers took us to the other hotel. Even worse two of the drivers were beside themselves unable to find the hotel even after receiving directions from a variety of people, including police officers. We were of no help - all we had was the name and address of the hotel in Chinese. The taxis didn't seem to use maps or GPS. When delivered to the sister hotel the staff there was obligingly patient in either taking us to the right hotel in their shuttle van or trying to show the taxi how to get there. Our hotel also used their shuttle vans to take us to the Canton Trade Fair and, when we wanted to go into town, a 25 minute ride away, they would take us a couple of kilometres and then flag down a taxi for us. The other down side of the location of our hotel is that it is a long way from anywhere. There is no ability to wander down the road and find a bar or restaurant rather than eat at the hotel where the two in house restaurants were very expensive.

very good hotel for the standart price. the only problem is if you need to catch a taxi. this si extremly difficult to catch taxis from the hotel due to the traffic jam all day. this hotel need to provide some alternative transport for the guests.

Great hotel with execellent, fast,helpful service”
This is a real 5 star hotel, with excellent service. Small thing we don't really like is that we have to pay RMB 30 for 15 minutes internet servic in the business centre. Cmon.. No free internet ? We stayed in the other 5 star hotel in Jinan city, and they supply a computer with a free internet. Oh yeah, this place is a quite bit far from city. Taxi will be a little issue. We have dropped into a taxi station with our luggage because they can't call a taxi. Very strange. Other that that, it was so perfect.

Complaint”
I have visited Chateau Star Group hotels for two times. But both times i gained unhappy experience. In first time, the staff told me that the hand shower was slipped in my room and asked us to wait until the checking completed while we check out. We were arguing for that and she didn't let me go. And i have been waited for 1 hr... Finally, the senior staff let us go when there were crowded of people in lobby. For this time, the staff told me that the decorations near the bath is damaged in my room and asked us to pay for that while we check out. We argued for about 1 hr. and paid half price to the hotel finally as we need to get on the bus on time. I was sure that all facility in the room was in good status. The above problems were not happened in other hotels that I visited before. So, I don’t recommend this hotel to stay.

Too Grand?”
The hotel looked, in photos, pretty and very extravagant. But to the point that it was somewhat distasteful, especially when the materials used are not quality and the staff was also not very helpful, at all. Good value for the money, however, coming from Hong Kong, we did enjoy the massive space they called a bedroom, and the headroom is just phenomenal.

Its everything you would expect a hotel like this would be but the location is pretty bad, no taxis, but they did offer a shuttle bus service to take you to the taxis hot spots.

I had very bad experienced in this hotel. I arrived at the hotel after 16 hrs flt and staff said i booked on a diff hotel where it clearly says on my booking that i booked in chateu star river .. showed them my booking and they insist it on the other hotel w/c is far and bad hotel.. ( sister company). Be careful dont choose that hotel you migth end up in a diff hotel..
