i have a basic understanding of the lao language (speak thai) and when we decided we wanted an afternoon trip to visit some nearby waterfalls and tea-plantations it was nice to hear the manager (without him knowing i knew what he was talking about) stressing that we were a nice, elderly couple and that he did not need a commission but the best price available. the hotel is about kip - or baht by tuk-tuk away from a dinner on the river-side and the receptionist will happily call the tuk-tuk for you, and also the return when you are ready.

The hotel is located in the city center area of Pakse. The room is clean, new and cozy decoration. The Bahtroom is rally nice. The hotel also provide free Wifi for connect internet. On the ground floor, there is famouse restaurant for Laos traditional noodle call 'Pher', made by meat only, which is quite delicious and shoud not miss. In front of the hotel also provide motorcycle rental service which enable more convenient for traveller to visit attraction point. The hotel also provide tour&travel to several interesting place, for example, the Waterfall, the 4,000 Islands or Wat Phu, with cheaper price offer than other agencies.

Booked online w/non refundable rate thru agoda. On arrival was told don't do online reservations so I paid cash for 2 nights. Via Agoda website had email for Manager who very promptly apologized said he would meet me next afternoon as I had touring plans and didn't want to miss while dealing with this issue. When I returned at about 3pm the desk clerk, same as on check in, apologized and promptly refunded my duplicate cash payment in full. Communication is challenging however Managers prompt and pleasant resolution was/is greatly appreciated!

this hotel is simple but clean with everything you need. the rooms located around the court of the hotel can be a bit noisy in the morning hours - laos is a morning oriented country. it didn't bother me, but it may do so if you're more sensitive than me. the hotel has a restaurant (mostly open air) which offers good food. the hotel is located in the center of pakse - everything that is in town can be reached from there on foot. wifi is available (free) in the public areas (e.g. on a nice veranda).

So clean & comfortable! It is well located near the bus station for the night bus & the best restaurant Doalin. The tv is small but great quality & we enjoyed seeing football from the UK. The shower is powerful & hot. The beds were comfortable. The balcony was great to see the street. We had sufficient wifi in our room. We were allowed to leave our bags in reception whilst we were out before we got the night bus.

The rooms are very big and well equipped. They are also cleaned every day. We were able to check in at 9 even though it says afternoon. Distance to center is less that 5 minuets but the hotel has a restaurant so you can eat there. The owner makes you breakfast for 25.000. He was a very friendly guy who tried his best to make our stay as pleasant as possible but his french is way better than hus english so it took 2 languages and hand and feet to have a conversation beyond organizational stuff. Would definitely recommend

First of all two advices when you stay here: take google translate and a small point it book...... Unfortunately the staff does not speak english, nor french, spanish or any other language than Lao. It was quiet exhausting to explain them our reservation after a 14 hour bus ride coming from Vietnam. Nevertheless, staff was very friendly, always smiled and if you are patience and explain by acting, doing etc. they will understand and help immediately. Room seize was very good, clean, breakfast very! Good and fresh. Location is ok - you need five minutes to the "city centre" when walking.

After my bus was delayed by 8 hours I arrived in Pakse in the middle of the night. Staff from the hotel were kind enough to come and find me and give me a lift back. The hotel is about 2-3km from the town centre, but in a lovely quiet location. You can easily get a tuktuk on the main road or rent a bicycle or motorbike to get around. Staff speak very little English. The room is very large and comfortable. It even had a living room and couch, television and large comfy bed.

Overall experience was great! I would definitely come back if I am in the area. This hotel is located near the night market in the city center. It is not along the riverfront, even though you could walk there. It was quite enjoyable and delightful to stay at this hotel. The multilingual French proprietor/manager ensured that my reservations were taken cared of. The hotel, corridors, and rooms are magnificently appointed/decorated and clean. The environment was relaxing, clean, and quiet. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was typical toilet, shower, and sink combination but a shower curtain to separate the toilet and shower stall from the sink area, minimizing water presence everywhere. Food service at the roof top restaurant was very nice. View from the top building is good for observing Pakse at night. Hot breakfast buffet was great! So many options to choose from.

I had a really excellent experience at this hotel. The rooms are really lovely, and the staff changes sheets every single day (unlike a lot of hotels these days). While most of the staff didn't speak English, the one who did was extremely helpful and friendly. Though the location is totally off the beaten track (far from the river), if you stay here, you get to visit the local open markets and places where tourists rarely venture. Highly recommend. As a female solo traveler, I felt especially extremely safe at this hotel.

The hotel is not on a walking distance from the centre or "boulevard" and after 21.00 hrs there are no tuktuks to find in Pakse! Breakfast is not included which means an additional 50.000 kip per person per breakfast. We had to change the reservation (change the already paid second day to a date later in the week) which was no problem. Communication was, so somebody was called who did speak English and some minutes later everything was okay! If you rent a motorbike we suggest the shop next to Bolaven, the restaurant/terrace on Route 13 (center).

the hotel is located in the center of the city, close at the museum and the market. everyday the market is open from early hours till about 5 pm. the hotel welcome you with a friendly staff and take care. at evening you don't have to go downtown for a good diner because at the hotel they serve very good food (lao food,western and thai food)for the same prize as downtown. the room was very big and the water extremely hot and together with cold water you have a perfect shower. we stay at the hotel for 4 nights and at night we have no rumours from outside and we sleep very well.

My room was bright and had amazing views of the surrounding hills. Breakfast is a mixture of European and Lao cuisine. The latter is absolutely delicious, especially rice porridge and other meat and vegetable dishes. All the staff are extremely friendly and respectful. Authentic Lao hospitality. The manager is an amazing guy. He took me on his scooter to a coffee shop where I bought home roasted Lao coffee. The location is in the city centre. Pakse is a small city with amazing locals, tasty food and wonderful views of the River Mekong and the hills nearby. There is also a wonderful temple. The whole city is well worth a visit.

Staff kindly allowed me a very early check in even though they weren't expecting me.. Despite having prepaid I was asked to pay again and showed booking confirmation. After a morning nap I had to ask at reception about remote controls for air con, tv and satellite box.. I was supplied these but unable to plug them in as only one socket.. Having obtained an extension less I asked about tea coffee facilities advertised and was given a kettle but no cup or tea or coffee.. A new member of staff arrived and again asked me to pay and told me the hotel is not bookable on Agoda.com. I had to show them their hotel on agoda website along with the room facilities advertised.. Staff then called the owner/manager who still denied they accept payment from Agoda.. I then had to forward the booking confirmation from my personal email.. The hotel is a 30 minute walk from town centre or an expensive tuk tuk ride. At night there is a karaoke/nightclub attached which plays music loudly until midnight..

It's the worst hotel i've ever stayed in, in my entire life all over the world. It says city centre and it's anything but. It's on a side street from a really horrible main road far away from centre.At the airport they didn't even know the hotel existed.The staff only know one word in English, "passport" otherwise unless one speaks Lao,one will be completely lost. We asked about, river,city centre, even milk for the tea, all we got was blank stares and giggles. We had no breakfast on both days, just tea. Again when we enquired , we got blank stares. The least i expect from a hotel that receives tourists is basic english. Room was ok though mirror was covered in water drops. If i were the Lao minister of tourism i would close it down immediately.

From what I have seen one of the best hotels in town, Not directly in the Center therefore quiet - walk to the very center only appr. 10 minutes; Hotel is new - rooms and bathrooms nice, big & clean, swimming pool welcome Feature in this hot town.
