Amman hotels & places to stay

The hotel was good, staff we welcoming. Overall I enjoyed my stay in Amman. However, we arrived early at the hotel and to do early check in we were initially asked to pay a full nights price. This by itself is not an issue, the confusing part is that the hotel informed me that I received a call from Agoda to confirm all the rules(which is not the case) I was never contacted by anyone, no one informed me of any of the rules other than the ones I read through my booking conditions on the app.

To start with, the location of the Hotel is fantastic; in the Amman Boulevard! The interiors and the design of the Hotel is Fantastic. The view from the room is amazing. The service of the staff is of next level service; they treat you like real Guests; keep following up each and everything - starting from reception to guest service to housekeeping to room service!! The food is ...... my God!!! Tried the Spaghetti Bolognese and Tiramisu from GUSTO the Italian Restaurant of the Hotel and I must admit it tasted exactly like the original one which I had tasted in Bologna! Great food; just great! Breakfast at 360Degree Restaurant is also good; but not one of the best I have experienced in life - this is one area the Hotel can improve. Having said that, the Breakfast is still above average in terms of quality and service. Could not explore the Gym & Outdoor pool; but the pool is made at right place in the best design - I would say that! Wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend

We had a very comfortable 1 night stay in amman. Hotel is nestled on a hill, opposite a very small boys school and next door to a quirky modern restaurant. The call to prayer can be heard creating an atmospheric environment. Great base to visit the citadel and roman theatre and navigate downtown amman. I would recommend this for a short, easy, welcoming and comfortable stay in Amman. The apartment gave us so much space, we were very happy there.

Very nice reception staff, always friendly and happy to solve any problem you might have. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious- one of the best we had during our stay in Jordan. Our room was comfy, spacious and quiet. Althought the hotel is not right in the old town, you can get there by taxi within 10mins for about 1.50JOD. Taxi' s are cheap in Amman and there is always at least one waiting outside the hotel. We would stay in this hotel again!

Though I had stayed just for one night but still I enjoyed my stay very much. Room was very spacious with king-size bed, separate sitting arrangement,washing machine and kitchenette. Toilet was clean with fresh towels saps and shampoo. You get wi-fi too. It is attended by the receptionist for 24 hours and no problem if you come late.. in fact i returned at about 4 am. Location is excellent in the sense that it is in the hub area of the market place with malls and various shops,restaurants,money changers and ATM all accessible just by walking. So if you are alone ,you can just walk around. The only con is that it is bit far from the down town. The only suggestion will be ,if they can keep some basic essentials like tea coffee,sugar,water etc. in stock so that the guests do not have any problem if they arrive at an odd hour. I really missed it when I was leaving.. I will certainly come and stay here if I come to Amman again and fully recommend others to stay here.

The Kempinski is located in the city center (Shmeisani) which makes it a good place to stay if you are a traveler looking for easy access to cafes and shopping. The public spaces of the hotel feature a lot of polished granite and glass, which gives the hotel a sleek but cold atmosphere. The rooms themselves feel warm and comfortable, decorated in reds and blues, with carpeting and low beds. The service was good, and the price for a single (US $150 including taxes) was the best I found all week for a 4-star hotel in Amman. The rate beat the Marriott's by more than $100 (the other hotel in which I stayed and which was by no means a better hotel).

We were there for 2 nights, a little lower then what I expected (compared to the photos posted in AGODA). Anyway, room was quite small but comfortable enough. Actually my biggest problem was driving my way in-out of Amman city and finding my destinations. On my second day, breakfast was serve a little late, we were in the dining room, but the lights were not even fully switched on. Nobody was there, and we went down to lobby just to wait for them. The dishes were adequate, as I not not very particular as long as I have one or two that I can accept (bread, egg, coffee). They have other choices like cheese and local dishes, but no plain water though. Check in and check out was smooth.

Hotel is in a great location, close to a lot of great restaurants in the Second Circle and 10 mins walk to Rainbow St. The room was comfortable and I slept well. The pool is a good size with a great relaxing terrace area. Breakfast was ok; there were a lot of choices, could be a little tastier but it was good enough to start the day. There are free laundry machines (you have to buy liquid detergent, which I picked up at a supermarket two blocks away). Wi-fi was good. Front desk staff need a little more training. Before I arrived at the hotel, I had phoned them asking for help with my reservation and they kept saying they couldn't help me, that I had to phone the reservations department in the morning. When I did phone back, the front desk said that reservations was busy and they would ask them to call me back; nobody ever phoned me. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Once you get to the hotel you will be really disappointed in the way you are treated by the staff. No one carried our bags, they had only one trolley for us to carry our own bags and put them on it and then take it to our rooms. The lady who was working on the check in counter, while she did her job, did not smile once. Something very normal in Amman I'm told. The room looked bigger in the pictures. It was comfortable enough for me as I was staying alone in the room, but my friends who were 2 in the next room didn't find it as comfortable. But most important for us was that the rooms were really clean. No weird smells, clean sheets, clean towels, clean toilet. Also, room service was really nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet is supposed to be open until 10 am but stays open for much longer. It is not a huge buffet but it was good enough for us. There was a selection of croissants and toast, home made jams, coffee machine that even had hot chocolate, tea bags, cornflakes and milk, juices, eggs and sausages, hash browns...etc. There is a really nice courtyard area outside the lobby area, next to the elevators. Try to go there in the morning and enjoy the good weather. I ordered dinner to the room on one night, I ordered the home made burger. The burger was really good! Fries not so much, but not bad either. And the person who took my order and brought the food up to the room was extremely nice and had a good sense of humor :) Something you will notice is rare in Amman.

This was the best hotel (value for $) we stayed in all of Jordan. What a find! Affordable, modern (newly renovated), comfortable, spacious, clean and the authentic breakfast on the top floor with city views was a wonderful treat and a great way to start the day! The staff were very professional and the manager was very kind and helpful to us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and return. Initially it may be difficult to find as the entrance is very narrow but look for the friendly valet that is always waiting by the road. The area was great too - very close to the highway for day trips out of town, lots of authentic inexpensive food places around and a big shopping center in front for everything else. Traffic is crazy in Amman so we were grateful to be close to the highway and not in the dead center of town. I still miss the authentic Jordanian ful they served at breakfast :)

The hotel is located is a quite hill which is quickly accessible from the main road. The hotel staff is really very attentive. The pickup from and to the airport is recommendable. I did not have to wait at all. Perfect timing. A little inconvenience with the heating in the room was solved immediately. Food, cleanliness and room comfort as well as free wifi round the quality down. I will definitely stay again at this hotel in my visit to Amman. Best value for money after 4 visits in Amman.

Right in the heart of downtown Amman, plenty of food and souvenir shopping nearby. Hotel provided a simple breakfast that was sufficient to fuel your day. However, our room faced the main road and it was noisy into past midnight. Luckily my brother and I brought earplugs which helped. Our room was not cleaned throughout our 3 night stay, not sure if we had to give some indication that we would have liked it to be.

The Gardenia was a delight for me. There's nothing fancy about it, but all the basics are there and to a good standard. The size of the room was more than adequate, the bed was very comfortable, and there are TV channels in English, albeit the general news channels. Bottles of free water are provided daily, and there is a fridge in the room with a choice of fruit juices and pop. There is wifi in the room, which is good for a solo traveller. The 2 guys at the front desk (Nadar during the day, Nezar during the night) are very nice, polite and helpful. Breakfast was served by a very nice gentleman whose name I didn't catch. He's also the 'egg station' man and will cook eggs to your request. Breakfast consisted of cheese, cold cuts, pita bread, western bread, fruit salad, western salad, and a selection of pastries and danishes. The restaurant is very nice, modern-looking and very clean. There is an outdoor pool, unfortunately, it is tiny and nothing to write home about. I stayed there in September and during this time, there'd be around 5 hours of sun on the pool–3 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon–therefore, the water is very cold (as nights are cold too during this time of year). The location of the hotel is away from the centre of Amman, but this is ideal for a good kip. Go out the hotel, turn right and right again, you'll find a Safeway. Go out the hotel, turn right and turn left, there are a couple of little shops selling crisps, snacks and soft drinks. There are ATMs dotted along the road of the Gardenia (5-8 minute walk away). I have stayed at a 3* in the city centre, and it was dreadful, therefore I'd definitely stay at the Gardenia again :)

My wife and I recently stayed at the Conroy Boutique Hotel on 3 separate occasions over my recent 2 week trip to Jordan. I can confidently say each stay was better than the one before it. Not only was the front desk staff SUPER helpful with any questions or issues that we had, they were also very friendly and had no problems checking in on us to see if we were doing well. The hotel itself is very nice and added to our experience. The breakfast provided by the hotel was a great way to start each day of exploration in Amman. We look forward to visiting them again on our next trip!
