"I have so much to say good things about this hostel so I leave it short. Edu(right?), I felt every day you are trying to make guests comfortable. If that's right, I want to say it worked. And, sorry, I didn't ask your name so I can not leave your name. But you would know me. Really Really wanna say THANK YOU for not charging me for key and card fees. If you had claimed that fees, I would have to walk for 50minutes with 20kg trolley bag. Because of you two, I don't hate Greece even if I've been pickpocketed. Thank you again for your kindness..."

"When we stay in Athens this is our favourite hotel. The staff are outstanding so helpful and pleasant. In all the hotels we have stayed in the staff in this hotel are the best! The rooms are lovely and the food delicious. Location is good as well only a short taxi ride to the centre of Athens. Our only disappointment was that other years at reception there was a selection of Greek treats and drinks but this year there was only water. Such a pity. We would recommend the hotel without reservation. "

"I planned to stay 2 nights at Ares Athens hotel, but ended up staying for 7 nights! I immediately felt home and safe in this hotel, because of the 24 hour reception. Nikos, who was there almost 24/7, is very friendly and helpful. Although, they don't advertise breakfast, there is a small area where you can have tea or coffee and a chocolate croissant every morning as a service. I stayed in a frontside room at the 4th floor. Windows isolate sound pretty good for a good night's rest. Omonia metrostation is around the block and very close by. If you want to go to the touristic city center, I recommend to take a metro from here to Monastiraki (1 stop) and you are right in the middle of shops, restaurants and sight seeing starting points. For solo (female) travellers it is best to take the metro to avoid having to walk the shady streets in the area. During the day it's ok, but in the evening and at night, avoid the smaller streets. Location of the hotel is safe as it is on a main street."
