"Lebanon is expensive and this was a good deal in their hotel listings. The only problem (which is major)is that the room has no outside windows. Your window opens to the common room with no less than 12 ashtrays on the tables. We ended up with headaches from the visitor and owners smoking. Couldn't imagine if there were many smoking guests. Politely asked the owner not to smoke next to me and she refused."

"We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment with garden view and it was huge! Next time would pay the bit extra for mountain view because it is a stunning view over tiered orchards and across the Qadisha valley. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Room was warmed up before we got there which was great for the wintry weather. Full size kitchen was fully stocked with all needed to self-cater. The Carmela restaurant downstairs was great: yummy Lebanese food for very reasonable prices. Loved the fattoush and spicy potatoes with coriander, as well as the house arak. Great stay."
