Hurghada hotels & places to stay

Having stayed many times at The Grand Rotana Resort and Spa in Sharm I'm afraid Movenpick although good, couldn't match the standards of Rotana. The staff, uniforms, professionalism you expect from 5 star wasn't there. El Gouna itself is a much better choice of area than Hurghada, as it is a purpose built Resort, with beautiful marinas and restaurants. The hotel location is ideal and we hired a motor boat for 4 hours and went around all the lagoons. I'd advise people thinking of going to Egypt to go B & B because at the current time the exchange rate is so good for Europeans and the local people need you to support them by getting out and about and trying other restaurants and shops. You will find El Gouna has a very laid back relaxed vibe, with no one asking you to purchase anything, so hassle free!

I would like to thank the Customer relations ladies at Serenity Fun City that followed up our concerns above and beyond for our stay. This Hotel is a real gem for the kids.. they will be endlessly entertained special thnks to the entertainment team, water slides, Luna Park, food and drink kiosk, the list goes on. We required extra towels at crazy hours of the night as our kids were sick, staff came to our assistance. Upon a general chat with cust relations they asked how my stay was, i decided to tell them about a couple of small issues. They followed this up and left a message in our room to contact them asap. We were given a fruit tray twice for the inconvenience as well as game vouchers. As we were leaving the following day management organised breakfast bags for us to take with us to the airport. The buffet options are amazing especially breakfast and have endless options that would please any fussy eater. I highly recommend Serenity Fun city as a family destination.

we spent 5 days with our 8 months baby girl... we really loved the place it's so comfortable and chic... all the stuff was so helpful with a smile... when I asked for a special food for my baby they was so care ... I recommend it for young couple or old ones for relaxation and enjoying the beach and the sun ... the family as well will enjoy there is a pool for children and 3 for adults...breakfast is the most delicious meal for me for the bakeries which was so fresh and yummy there is lots of variety for the breakfast... lunch and dinner wasn't like breakfast but it was good...the value for the money is excellent... we will come back ever year

Arriving in January, the hotel was only 30% occupied but the staff were super friendly and helpful, particularly given that we arrived at 3 am. Reception were full of smiles and they upgraded us free of charge. The beds were comfortable although there was no wall to wall carpeting only two small rugs. Hence the room was a bit cold unless you turned on the heater. Be careful to request a view of the beach as this adds to the magical experience. Ask for room 5213, which is where we stayed and it was a great room with a great view. Both breakfast and supper were good buffets and the beach restaurant had western style sandwiches for lunch. Excellent value. Excellent hotel. Hurghada is a jewel not known by many.

My family loves to travel in different countries and stay in different hotels during the holidays and vacations. We had an amazing week at Beach Al Batros Hotel Hurghada. The hotel has a lot to offer and can cater to all types of travellers. My kid enjoyed the kids facilities / aqua park and my husband and I enjoyed the sea, entertainment and events during the day and night. The hotel surroundings and gardens was well kept and clean. There were shops selling different stuffs. They have a doctor and clinic in the hotel in case you get sick. Everything is in the hotel from kids facilities, variety of dining experience with their many restaurants and bars, days and night entertainment and activities for couples and for family, snorkling and diving activities, we were given voucher also to their Spa but apparently we had no time to visit. Everything is really there and no need to go out of the hotel for a fun-filled holiday. The view and location is great as well having the red sea and pool just few steps from our room 2053. We really had fun as a family and had different unique experience daily for a week. Compared to our stays with other luxury and international hotel chains, our stay at Beach Albatros hotel was a complete and fun filled experience for the whole family. All the staff I met were really friendly and went out of their way to help. Unfortunately the hotel is in a poor condition and somethings look like they were built badly from the start. So it didn't really meet my expectations based on the photos I saw. Although, considering the price its still good value for money if your looking for a cheap base that's close to Sheraton street.

Highly recommend. The ideal hotel for a one or night stay after arriving in Hurghada before transferring on to other locations. Spotlessly clean, lovely suites with bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen . 5 minutes from airport. Lovely little swimming pool in nicely tended garden area. Modern hotel but traditional Egyptian style decor. Buffet breakfast. Only very slight issue was dining area a little too hot at times. No beach although there is access to one of you want. Reception can shuttle to sister hotel near sea. We booked half board as not too many cafes and restaurants close by. Would really recommend for anyone travelling to Luxor via Hurghada as no direct flights yet.

I’ve stayed here for 2 nights last December, and I wish I could stay longer. The hotel is new, very cozy, love the beds and sheets, very clean and there are accessible stores and shops nearby. Downstairs is a coffee shop where you can have shisha and relax watching with other patrons. The hosts are wonderful. The couple who owns the place Tamir and Ivy are very attentive and pleasant to the guests no matter what time of the day. Tamir gets feedback from guests on their stay and even on the activities offered by the hotel, and he is very approachable and helpful. I personally find the activities great value for money. Im surprised to meet his wife who is also a Filipina and it was a good relief to be able to meet and talk to her while away from our countries. The couple are very warm hosts and they have made me feel welcome and at home. Highly recommended.

this villa location is amazing its in the middle of every thing you would need, the beach is 5 mins walking and around you lot of markets and night life. all the kitchen ware is available you do not need to care about any thing, dish washer, washing machine, kettle and cooker is available in very good working condition, the villa is very secured inside touristic center compound and has outer access with park from outside the compound if do not need to enter from the compound gate. the private pool is very clean and very safe for kids and adults. the guard Nabil is good guy and the owner Mr. Sayed is very nice and honest.

although i stayed for a short period of time, i really enjoyed my stay. the room was really big for the three of us. it's view wasn't that good and the elevators were really slow. breakfast was nice but the juices offered were terrible. the best thing about the hotel it is only 5 mins walk to the beach & pool. the pool is not that big but it was nice. there aren't much shopping around in the hotel but it is not far from "sheraton st." and "marina". overall, i'll be going to stay again in if i'm going to hurghada.

Mind-blowing, thats all I can say. We were upgraded to a sea-facing room and the views were breath-taking. We bought an all inclusive deal, the meals extensive with many restaurants to choose, drinks unlimited, entertainment every night, kids entertainment and facilities well catered, too much to mention. There are many activities for adults to pay from the guys that are promoting/selling eg parasailing, quad biking, snorkeling, jetski, etc. I had an awesome time, went parasailing, snorkeling (first time), wish I had more time for other activities. First time in all my holidays abroad, we wish to revisit a place again, and this is definitely the hotel I want to be again. You will not regret your stay here, You have to be here to experience it all

We went during a high season yet we didn't feel any problems or ques , the hotel buildings are old style but from my opinion clean and maintained , The Jaz intervention in the hotel is quite obvious amazing food , amazing staff , high level animation i actually didn't have the chance to see the pool because the sea was crystal clear , clean and very safe special thanks to Osama the life guard for his dedication, Special thanks too to the head chief for the clean delicious food . Will be back next October after i give birth and planning for a 10 days thing isa

My 5 friends and I had such an amazing weekend at this all-inclusive resort. The 3 bedroom flat had everything we needed and more than enough space. The resort grounds were stunning and manicured to perfection. We were pleased with the service at the bar (Mohammed!) and at breakfast lunch and dinner. I highly recommend Amaya restaurant during your stay as the food there is superb!

The hotel was a last minute decision to go to Makadi bay. The hotel was nice and lively and had many activities at night. Most people were foreigners who seemed to enjoy their stay. They have a nice big pool and part of it is heated so we could swim in the winter. The all inclusive deal was ok but the quality of the good was a little below average but still ok. The breakfast was the best part of it.

When we arrived we were upgraded to the apartments and they were exceptional, we had a large lounge with 32" TV with plenty of channels in a variety of languages sports, films, news etc. Seperate bedroom with TV, two air cons, seperate kitchen with kettle and microwave and a bathroom which had a good air dryer and a lovely large walk in shower. Towels and bedding were changed daily if required. We were B&B so only ate breakfast, they had a good choice of food and had an egg station where the chef cooked eggs as you liked them. Pool towels are provided and everywhere is clean and tidy. Hotel is convenient to the resturants and shops but the local shuttle buses, boats and tuk-tuk's are cheap if required.
