Jeju hotels & places to stay

We stayed here for 3 nights around Easter time, and were really pleased with the hotel. The hotel design is very over the top, but, its a bit like Vegas, tacky but done well. The rooms are comfortable, luxurious and clean, but not the best we have seen for a 5 star resort. The hotel is huge and the gardens are beautiful. The swimming pool (over 30 degrees) and 3 Jacuzzis (almost 40 degrees) were amazing, was so nice to swim up until midnight in the lit pool when the weather was so cold and rainy outside. The sauna by the pool was fantastic too, and they lend you fluffy bathrobes to dash between the changing rooms and pool area, everything was very well thought out. We spent most days out exploring Jeju island, then evenings relaxing in the hotel and in the pool. The food in the Korean restaurant was lovely, we went for the tasting menu and there was so much food, all cooked to perfection, lovely local ingredients and flavours, really enjoyable. Great having the bakery in the lobby, nice to be able to take snacks for a day trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and all trained very well. But we had one negative experience. We asked the hotel to book us an English driver for the day, and the driver was appalling. He drove erratically, had no seat belts in the car,y and his English was so poor that we felt ripped off paying more for an 'English' guide! He asked us to pay for his lunch (even though it was supposed to be included in the day rate). Then drove slowly and swerved all over the place, meaning we had to pay an extra hour to cover the sights that we had planned. We were surprised that the hotel recommended this driver. At the end of the day, we mentioned to the hotel, and they dismissed it so we went to talk to concierge who apologised. We were not after an apology, but really wanted them to remove this driver from their list so that other guests do not have the same negative experience.

The hotel was located at the south of the jeju island and is very convenient to many sightseeing attractions of the island, such as teddy bear museum. The aiport shuttle service also makes a stop right in front of the hotel if you arrive early! The hotel itself has a 200 steps staircase that leads to the beach! if only it was summer, it would be so convenient for us! Do explore the surroundings inside and outside of the hotel as there is plenty to see and do in this hotel. Highly recommended!

I was travelling down to Jeju Island with my Dad and we had a really nice stay at the hotel. The rooms were nice-smelling and beds were comfortable and clean. The hotel staff were extremely approachable, spoke decent English and when they could not understand us, we both used Google Translate!!! Staff were helpful with recommendations and we enjoyed their service very much. Though the hotel is up in the North, it's really near to the airport and there's no need to rush to catch our flight. Also, there's a 24-hr mart close by and a couple of great Jeju restaurants to choose from. I would definitely recommend you to check out this hotel!

Nice place on Jeju for a relaxing stay, but don't forget your international drivers license to get around Jeju Island. Bus station just behind the hotel, but the island is just too big for getting around in a bus. Location quite nice with a small beach just in front of the hotel, but during night also a little noisy due to people sitting outside. Sleeping with windows open did not work very well.

The Howard Johnson was perfect for our trip to Jeju Island. Many reviews say to stay in Seogwipo-si if you’re on the island for multiple days but we opted to stay in Jeju-si for 4 days and 3 nights. The Howard Johnson is incredibly close to the airport and easy to get to via bus (download the Kakao app to get up-to-date bus information, Korea’s google maps essentially). The HJ is located in the new downtown area with many restaurants and the Lotte duty free mall within walking distance. The old downtown with Dongmun market is a short bus ride away. We took a day trip to Seogwipo, saw the main sites. While Seogwipo was beautiful, we found much more things to do in Jeju around the HJ. In terms of facilities, it is a newer hotel so everything looks new. The bed was comfortable and you can control your own AC. The TV was also a sleek newer LED LG TV. The hotel doesn’t have a gym or a pool, however, so plan for that. All around, great value and would stay again.

We were in Jeju Island for 6 days, and spent 2 nights here. *Near to the ocean (just across the road) and 30 minutes bus trip to airport with its bus stop right in front of the hotel. *A bit far from Jeju-si shopping areas. *Convenience store right next to the hotel. *Our room was spacious for the 2 of us, and very very clean. Toilet came with bidet, definitely a plus point. *We wanted to hang out on the rooftop, however it was closed. *Staff spoke good English. Overall, we loved our stay :)

The room is spacious with good features like a convenience store located within the lobby area. The staff were English-speaking and they provide helpful service in terms of recommendations of where to go in Jeju Island. The location is also superb. It is just 15 minutes away from the airport, 15 minutes walk to the city centre and shopping area, and 10 minutes walk to the seaport where fresh seafood is served. The wind in the area, however, is crazy since the hotel is located beside the sea and unblocked by other buildings. There's also a steady stream of tourists since it's a big hotel. But definitely value for money for family stay.

my wife and i enjoyed staying at haevichi hotel while traveling jeju in may 2012. the room was very spacious, clean, and nicely designed. we were at a high floor with a sea view and it was lovely. the breakfast buffet had a big selection of food - both western and korean. all staff that we met at the hotel were smiling and very friendly. however, the hotel is located in the eastern part of jeju island so the location could be inconvenient for tourists who plan on checking out tourist attractions in western part and joongmoon village in jeju island.

This hotel is an excellent choice if you are staying in Jeju Island. The staff were all incredibly gracious on our arrival and spoke good English, making our check in smooth and pleasant. The facilities are brand new, modern and impeccably clean. The rooms are spacious and the views are breathtaking of the harbor and neighboring islands. Olle Market, the finest hikes, restaurants and shops are all within a few blocks making the location superb and all reachable without a car. They also have a convenience store in the lobby for snacks, drinks and sundries. We canceled our previous reservations at another hotel to stay longer we enjoyed it so much. Thank you to Mr. Paks and Mr.Bin for their gracious treatment of us during our stay.

This is not the first time I stayed there, and continously will use the hotel whenever I travel to Jeju island. The room is very spacious and clean, and people who work there are very kind. The only issue I feel staying there is parking, since outside parking is not enough, and machinery parking should be taken care by drivers or only SUV cars can be parked in the basement.

Stayed for 2 nights when we were in Jeju Island. Room is very clean, good decoration, clean bathroom, smell nice, and best service provided by the receptionist. When I book for the taxi tour in the morning, the owner of the hotel will all of his kindness help me to translate anything to the cab driver and he even recommend which place or route fo the tour. Truly from the bottom of my heart, I really appreciate his help and thousands thanks to him. Even when we're leaving from the December hotel to the Jeju Airport, the owner of the hotel help us call the taxi and help us brought our luggage to the cab. Gosh,,I couldnt say anything anymore for the best service that he provided. The other receptionist in the night shift help me with all his effort to tracked down for the small problems which we encounter during our trip. We thought we were overcharged when we were having lunch at a restaurant (it cost us 80,000 won for 5 person). After we came back from the tour at the night, I just asked to the guys in the receptionist if is it normal that it cost us that much for a lunch for 5 person. Then with all his effort, he tracked down over the phone for the taxi company, taxi driver, search for the restaurant in the internet then called the restaurant just to confirm about this. Thanks to you mr. Receptionist (i'm sorry i forget the name), you are the best. Surely i recommend you to stay here. I promise you wont be disappointed with this hotel and service. Five stars for this hotel :)

There are convience stores in the Ramada West just across the street from Ramada East, and a delightful bakery ( Take Urban Jeju Terrace ) in the Ramada Encore East. Our bed was hard coming from a Western bed that is what we would call incredibly hard, but no where near as plank-like as most Korean beds are. Housekeeping came every day to give us water and change out our waste bins, and give us fresh towels. We requested to not have our bedlinens or anything else done. The room was very clean when we came in, no lingering smells of past travelers could be detected. The water pressure is great, the hot water more than warm enough. The gym is small, but the washers and dryers are large and only 3,000W per load which is quite cheap. There is a park and a group of restaurants directly outside and to the right of the hotel across the street. Very good choice of foods though most do not open for dinner until 6pm.

We stayed for one night, it was a very nice hotel, with a nice pool and big and comfortable room. The design of the hotel was very beautiful and modern, the staff was also very attentive, they even gave us some courtesy beers in the evening. The breakfast was also good, with both western and asian options. However, a couple of things to notice: - The hotel is pretty far from everywhere, we took a cab from Jeju city for ~15000 krw/30 min. A car is a must if you want to go around. Also, write down the address in korean for the cab, because taxi drivers don't know the hotel. - The restaurant was closed, so you had to go around to find a place to eat (not much offer, just a CU, and 2 restaurants 5 minutes driving) - Also, some of the spa/karaoke rooms/virtual golf was "under maintenance" - Not all rooms have bathing tub, ours had a huge shower (like, double, easily 10 persons could get in. weird.) In any case, it was a really nice stay, I would definitely come back.

only 5 mins away from Olle market. Excellent restaurants in the vicinity. I really enjoyed the bakery in the lobby. Best cheese brioche that I ever had! The only complaint that I have is, although I booked a non-smoking room, it still reeked cigarette. Combined with the typical humidity of Jeju Island, it was quite uncomfortable. Other than that, the hotel itself was excellent and I would strongly recommend to everyone!

Very calm and picturesque location. The main pool is not well maintained and not heated at all. Also as it is in front of the hotel restaurant everyone including outside visitors is watching. It was lovely to use our jacuzzi which is on the private patio after a long day of exploring, Jeju Island. Breakfast was very basic and cold. The only positive about this hotel is its location, facing the sea, amazing view and fresh air.

the stay was amazing. Got free upgrade to premium room, very spacious with large tv, fridge, kitchen and washing machine. The staff is friendly and can speak english. Hotel do provide free parking as i rent a car in Jeju island. Besides, did tried out the food at the restaurant down there,quality is good and they can deliver to your room. If you prefer to have other korea food outside the hotel, you basically just need to walk 5 minutes to the food street where some of the shop the menu do have english label.

This hotel is rated 4 star by Agoda but we found the room a bit narrow compared to other 4 star hotels in Jeju Island. Bed is comfortable to sleep on. Nice tiny balcony but not much view. Smell a bit mouldy in the wardrobe cuz no ventilation at all when door is closed. A lot of local restaurants near the hotel. A Daiso is just around the corner. Pretty good location.
