"Very close to houyi mrt station. When you have arrived Kaohsiung train station, just take the mrt to houyi mrt station, it's only one station away. Very convenient. The location of this hotel is 100m away from houyi. We booked two nights in Kaohsiung. However, due to the sudden change of our itinerary, both of us decided to forfeit the second night. The staff was kind enough to help us upgrade to two double beds during our one night stay :) "

"Good value for money. Kaohsiung is very cheap overall. This place is one street away parallel to the Liuhe night market which contains cheap eats and is a short walk to the Formosa Boulevard station which is the station connecting both the MRT red line and orange line so you are perfectly setup to explore Kaohsiung using the metro. The hotel itself is clean and the room is spacious with a good shower which has very high pressure on full setting (which I like); water pressure is adjustable. My booking came with included breakfast which I did not enjoy as I felt the street food available around the corner was better food. The lift sometimes takes a long while during check in or check out times due to high demand but otherwise fine. There are self-service laundry washing machines and a dryer on the rooftop. Washing machines are free (need to buy laundry powder or bring your own) but dryer is coin operated. No good view even if you get a window. Overall, I would stay here again."

"One of the best deals I've ever encountered on my travels - comfortable single room with new fixtures, an enjoyable breakfast buffet on the ground floor, and even CNN and a couple of other English-language stations on cable TV, for much less than what you would expect to pay for all this. It's only a couple of minutes on foot from the nearest MRT station, which doesn't take too long to get to from either the airport or Zuoying High Speed Rail station. The only thing is that the internet was slow at times during the night. "

"Abby and I planned a trip to Taiwan but we both agreed to visit Kaohsiung first. Yes, we're both new to see Taiwan. At first, we expected that Kaohsiung is big and difficult to travel around. However, we made a mistake. Kaohsiung is not so big and it was very easy to travel around. Moreover, we stayed in this place called Backpackers Inn. I booked it because I saw that it is famous in Agoda and I read some comments about this accommodation. I saw that they have many positive responses from their customer. When we arrived they were very accommodating and entertained us in English. The staff speaks English fluently, they cater to our needs. Yes, they have free breakfast. The room is fine because we booked a room in a female dormitory. They Kitchen with free bananas, I enjoyed it. Also, They have a nice lobby with comfortable sofa and chairs. Wifi is excellent. The location of this Inn is 5 mins away from the MRT station and shopping mall. Thank you so much Backpackers Inn <3 "

"The hotel basically met all my expectations on what a 4-Star Hotel should be. The room was superbly comfortable and clean, the furnishings are great, and the service is very, very good. The buffet breakfast is also very enjoyable, featuring international and local Taiwanese dishes. In terms of attractions, the Pier-2 attraction (駁二區) is located just opposite the hotel. Location, however, is a problem in my case as I decided not to take a taxi. The nearest Kaohsiung MRT station, Yanchengpu (鹽埕埔), is located around 20 mins+ walking distance from the hotel. Its best to consult your map and understand the road names before heading there from the MRT station, as that area is a few road names that are quite similar if pronounced in English (Dayi Rd, Dayong Rd, etc.) In addition, unless you are dining out at the hotel, there isn't really any food choices nearby. During my stay I had my dinner at the Okmart convenience store located just opposite. "

"Hotel is very new, clean and modern. Loved the hotel decor! Located within 2 mins walk to the rear exit of Kaohsiung Main Station (train not MRT). MRT entrance is located at the front entrance of the train station which is a easy 5-7mins by taking a short cut via the train station. Super convenient yet away from the noisy street traffic. Hotel room is more spacious than expected. Well designed to truly maximise space- Clothes rack rather wardrobe. The quad room has 2 queen beds which were very comfy. Breakfast comes in a set- a local dish with fruits platter and soya milk. The hotel is very thoughtful to make sure guests get different breakfast everyday. Those who prefers western breakfast, can book a room without breakfast as Macdonalds is located at the front entrance of the train station which is 5-7 mins walk away. Overall, I'm a very satisfied guest and highly recommended if you are in Kaohsiung! "
