Khao Sok (Suratthani) hotels & accommodations

Nice basic Treehouse accommodation in Khao Sok village, a little apart from the main road leading up to the national park entrance. Quite a lot of bugs due to being up a tree in/next to rainforest. It's a beautiful place and next to the river, which I imagine you could paddle in (but we didn't have time). Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't appreci...

We booked 2 nights in bamboo huth, after first night we decided to change location. If you like nature, lizards, bats, insects walking around your bed over night it is place for you. We like nature but we used to live in home with doors and windows. Bamboo huth also have them but there are also many holes which can be used by animals to get inside your huth. If you ev...

The setting and location are lovely. Staff is very sweet, but it is hard to get a clear explanation on questions (language barrier), yet this non-info is given with a very positive attitude and a smile and eventually you figure it all out. The day tour to the lake was excellent, not crowded (14 people max) and guide was good. Price is same as everywhere. The rooms a...

If you are in this part of Khao Sok National Park and you want a crisp and clean room, with plenty of space, at a very nice price, do yourself a favour and check-in to this hotel. Unlike other hotels at or near the Sok river, this place is mold free and the rooms are bright. Perhaps it is not quite the 'genuine riverside experience' as you might want, but if you wish ...

Love, love, love Khaosok Las Orquideas!! This is like walking into a secret, tropical paradise in a great location in Khao Sok, a 3 minute walk to the main restaurants and shops. The rooms are large and tasteful, the grounds are a tropical paradise, including a relaxing pool area. Breakfast is great, the staff is fantastic, and the lake tour that they sell can't b...

I stayed here for my last night in the Khao Sok National Park area, after having stayed at another resort that had fan-only rooms with an open gap between the walls and ceiling. I was so delighted to come to this resort and be greeted by the super nice Miss Sia. The heat is so strong and humid in the area, it can get you really tired if you are exposed to it all day l...

This small hotel/resort is cleanly, accommodating and a great location for everything you need for your visit to Khao Sok National Park. The man who helped my boyfriend and I at the front desk deserves applause for his customer service skills. Upon arrival after a long day of travelling to check in we were offered a seat while he looked up our booking, and he supplied ...

I loved this place. The cottages were quaint and surrounded by nature. The location is a tiny bit off of the main road but honestly, not bad walking distance to the main road and bars. 10-15 minutes max. Lots of mosquitoes, but such is life in Khao Sok. This was my second time in Khao Sok. They can book the tour for you here!

Well, I went there few days ago, wanna say good for relaxing, next to the khao sok river and national khao sok. It's very good for everyone who love adventure in the wild forest and fresh nature. For service of the resort, they are very kind to me. I went there by VIP bus from Bkk to Khao Sok , arrived there 6.30 am then the resort pick us up, by free service, about ...

Wonderful nature experience, tree houses were clean as they can be as tree houses. Well maintained, spacious with everything you need (we had a family room). Upon arrival we were introduced to jungle rules: don't leave windows or doors open especially with food inside the room. We knew why instantly - monkeys were around all the time, very cool for the kids and us to w...

Loved this place. The staff are friendly, it is close to the park, and great value for the money. The bungalow is really cute and surrounded by trees and flowers. If I come back to Khao Sok I will definitely stay here again. Plus Khao Sok is such an awesome place, even in the rainy season. Highly recommend Khao Sok and staying at Morning Mist :)

From Suratthani, there are mini-buses which will take you to Khao Sok, every one hour. From Khao Sok minbus to hotel, transportation is provided by the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hotel owner and were directly taken to the room. Cottages are clean and bed was covered with good mosquito net ensuring sound sleep during the night. Khao Sok Green Valley Resort was an idyllic place to stay at in Khao Sok. The price is inexpensive ($20 USD) for a budget bungalow room, with a king bed, beautiful Garden View from our patio and spacious bathroom. The Restaurant in the front is a comfortable space to dine any time of the day, or to relax after a day of activities. Staff is very friendly and helpful and...

Smiley is damn near my favorite hotel on our trip around Thailand. We stayed in the stone bungalows which were excellent! I loved swinging peacefully in the hammock while looking at the mist snake its way around the limestone cliffs. No air condition but it was not needed. Staff was excellent and there is an adorable scruffle dog on site to play with. I would give this...

All the reviews here are true - Zunny truly is the sweetest, most thoughtful host youll have. Beautiful cottage in the middle of the rainforest. Extremely peaceful and a good place to start Khao Sok adventures or just to relax and behold the beauty of nature. Resort is located a bit further from restaurants but within walking distance so it's actually a feature. You won't hear any noise of travellers and music from bars but sounds of nature. A bit dissapointing is lack of restaurant on the spot - they have even menu for restaurant but they were serving only breakfasts when we were there. It was great stay nonetheless! Highl...

Hotel is owned by a great Thai family. My girlfriend was sick during our stay and they were really helpfull. We also booked our tour for Khao Sok with them(i was great), and it was no problem to reschedule this (2 times) at the last moment. Definitely can also recommend to get something to eat at their restaurant.

Good location, 10 min walking from the khao sok entrance, amazing food definitely reccomend eating here, wifi only worked in some areas, room was clean but there was a lot of bugs but that is expected when you stay at a bungalow near a national park. The place feels like its heyday was about five years ago. Don't get me wrong, its an cheap and OK place to stay and the location is great as its on the main drag upto Khao Sok National Park but don't expect service with a small and amazingly clean rooms. I stayed in Khao Sok for 5 days, such a lovely place for a quiet getaway in the jungle. The cabanas are small with fan (no aircon), a simple setup but good value for the money. Bushwalking through the National Park - do take a guide. There were none available, and we tried to do the longer walk to all waterfalls and could not find the way.
It is very nice to stay there, if you want to feel nature. But everything (specially the tours) are to expensive.
Totally overlooked this area during my first two visits to Thailand - if you are looking to get outdoors, or if you want a break from the beaches and Bangkok, or if you want to go somewhere that is not very developed yet, this is a great place to visit.
Khao Sok is a vast jungle and there are various trails. We somehow got on the wrong trail and ended up on a hiking trail lol For this you need walking boots or at least trainers.
Khao Sok is a national park around a lake formed from a dammed river. There are a number of activities you can do - every activity is exactly the same no matter who offers it, but if you have children, some places offer more of a discount for them than others.
Many places to stay and eat along the road, but Thai Herb had the best food. Morning Mist was a great hotel with helpful staff.
We stayed very close to Khao Sok National Park for all our activities. You do everything from either location.
amazing lake nearby amazing scenery popularily called "Guilin of Thailand".Khao Sok forest is full of adventurous trips and is very scenic .
If you like the nature the place is for you. You can book trips to jungle, lake or elephant trekking to make some activities
The national park was breathtaking and hands down was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen in the world! It's nice that it is a bit off the beaten track.
It's a remote jungle town right at the entrance to Khao Sok National Park. It's a 2+ hour bus ride from Surat Thani downtown.
We only spent one night in Khao Sok, but got the impression that the setting and scenery is wonderful, but the quality of the accommodation is fairly variable.
The area is very chilled out. The main attraction is the national park with all its' offers (mainly hiking and animal spotting).
Khao sok is a very beautiful place in the Southern part of Thailand surrounded by high lime stone mountains which create magnificent 360 degree views.
Khao Sok is a great place to go to be close to nature. You can hear gibbons and other fauna. You can explore the rain forest in many different ways, and form your own adventure.
