"The hostel- hotel is at a great location and it has everything you could dream of. They are new (7 months) and their service needs to improve enormously; if you go here be patient, make sure you double check all information with staff: tours, arrival and departure (let them know when you will arrive, the booking made through any app doesn't seem to be reliable as they don’t have access to the internet and don’t really know who arrives and who doesn't; this is important because they have to pick you up in Lanquin and if they are not informed they wont come get you; you will be dropped off in a place where you’ll be surrounded by oportunistic people trying to get you private transportation or hotels at high prices). Overall a great place that feels like a farm by a river, just make sure you ask everything thoroughly and have some patience when it comes to service."

"The location is the best you can get.. right on the doorstep of Semuc Champey. You're in the middle of the jungle way up in the mountains so you can't expect a 5 star resort. The place was clean and well maintained and that's all you can ask for. Rooms were spacious. There is no hot water and the power is only on from 6pm to 11pm (by generator) and there is no Wi-Fi. These are not negatives tho. The experience you have here is peaceful and you're surrounded by beauty. The staff went the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The food was great, huge portions and the service was great. I would book this place again in an instant. You can tell that they really care about preserving the environment and integrity of Semuc Champey"
