JinLing is old name of Nanning city so this hotel represents Nanjing and first t star hotel in Nanjing city. Location is at center of city and cross sectio of 2 subways(number 1 and 2) so Hotel is connected with subway. u can go signseeing conveniently. Workers are very friend and breakfast is perfect hotel that I been to. Swimming pool also nice and at new bulding. I heartly recommend this hotel to tourist in Nanjing.

I arrived in Nanjing from Beijing late close to midnight and had booked the hotel online with Agoda. I didnt know exactly where it was but was surprised to find it just a short walking distance from the airport exit still on airport property. The reception area is very big and yes this hotel is a very modern experience so expect the price of things to be higher than normal. I had been on a long journey that originated from the US through Beijing and on to Nanjing when I found that the hotel had no record of my reservation! After much discussion, I was able to show them my Agoda booking number and payment history through internet access but still had issues with Agoda. For the night they offered me my room and hoped that in the morning they would work to find my reservation with Agoda. My 9th floor room was large and had a walk out balcony with a view of the airport tarmac and planes taking off. The room was sound proof, the bed was very comfortable and the room had all the modern conveniences including a modern tub and shower area. There is also a safe, wet bar, large TV and good internet access if you dont try to get Google. for that you need a VPN. In the morning, I was able to phone Agoda to process my confirmation with the hotel. The hotel was very patient with me throughout the problem period and they handled it professionally.

The best thing about the Metropark is the location: next to the grand Nanjing Museum; a stroll to the walls to the east, the Ming ruins to the West, a fun neighborhood for street food 1 km south. The room was comfortable (did not purchase breakfast or eat in hotel). I have a weakness for the Chinese marble palaces built in the 1990s, of which this is one. Sweep of the columns and 4x10 meter murals is a kick; the hotel is mostly through renovation and has been done well. The pool is great for laps. Staff, though, varied between lovely and giving the sense I was bothering them. Perhaps speaking Chinese well didn’t help... still, I’d stay here again.

We've chosen this hotel just because most of the simple hotels in nanjing dont accept foreigners. What I can say about our stay?: Comfortable room, Fast internet, Big beds... However, the location is far from everything. There are no restos nearby.... you still have to get a taxi and go to Wanda Plaza to get your food. he bfast buffet is also just ok, though i can say RMB 30 is pretty cheap... All in all, I can recommend this hotel if you dont really mind travelling outside to have your meal...

The hotel was awesome. The room was big and spacious, clean and the hotel shares building with a mall, so it's easy to do any of your shopping, its located close to several interesting sights aswell. the room came with a kitchen (not equipped), so for longer stays it would be perfect. I will admit that it is closer to a kind of an apartment then a hotel, lacking perhaps the facilities that certain travellers wish for. But it more then fulfilled my wishes.

Leaving Los Angeles for Nanjing, during which I had spent one night in Seoul Airport Hotel, I thought I would book a nice hotel for relaxation. My room is located on 60th floor, earning great view of Nanjing; it was raining during my stay there, literally heavy rain that aroused so much memory, but sadly I couldn't see anything clear but fog thanks to typical Chinese air quality. My room is really romantic. I love the light control, really of first quality. I also like the round bathtub. Generally great atmosphere for couples. Sadly such a romantic hotel room provided no condoms.

thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this brand new hotel. spacious rooms that are very nicely furnished with large bathroom. three good restaurants where our favourite what the east west grill. a good place to rest and hang out between sightseeing in nanjing. when you checkout, make sure you do it in time in case of air/train transport, since this hotel is a few minutest seemingly off the beaten track for taxis. they could not get any taxi for us, and even the hotel cars were taken, so the concierge took his private car to a close by large intersection where taxis were easily accessible, and he helped us get one and off we went and cought the train. shows the good servicemind of the hilton staff, but should not really be necessary.

It is close from the factory that i visit, so I always use this hotel. Not right in the middle of the city, it was better for me to travel to airport and the offices in the industrial area. Best thing was the free wireless, high speed connection from my room. So convenient for work, trip planning and entertainment. Although sometimes they slowly understand my requests in English, never failed to get what i wanted from them. New mall is built in close distance, (3 min. walk distance), and i was able to get everything that i needed from the supermarket at the basement of the mall. Buffet in the morning is very nice and cheap. Traditional foods are plenty and fast foods as well, KFC, Mc. Pizza hut... Walking to Confusis'temple is very relaxing exercise in the morning. (In the night the street is too crowded most of the time)

I've stayed in quite a few Western-owned five-star hotels in China, so I have an idea what to expect, and the Xinhua Media GDH falls far short of what it bills itself as. First of all, I should say that the service is really good. For instance, when we requested replacement towels, they were there in two minutes. But beyond that... everything looked nice, but was shoddy. The doors were all warped, so the closet and the bathroom wouldn't shut. Speaking of the bathroom, there was not a single hook on which to hang your clothes or a wet towel. The exhaust fan didn't work. The hot water took five minutes to arrive, and when it go there, half the nozzles on the shower head didn't work. We wanted to store our milk in the minibar refrigerator, but it was locked -- who locks the minibar? And the free breakfast buffet: If you arrive when it starts, there's not enough seating and all the food items run out quickly. If you wait until the crowd is gone, they don't bother replenishing the empty food trays. The waitstaff stands and watches the guests scrounge for silverware and chopsticks. In short, if you want a five-star hotel, go to a Marriott or a Sheraton.

This hotel is very good value for money. The rooms are large. The staff were helpful. The breakfast selection is enormous and the food very good. We were able to check out late with no cost involved. The location is excellent as there is a direct connection to the metro via the car park. Recommend going to Deji shopping mall ( one stop on the metro-Xin jialou -) 7th floor to eat at "Impressions Nanjing"

Very nice hotel 4 1/2 star, centrally well located. 8 mins walk to the Xinjiekou Metro Station and to Deji Plaza which is a new shopping malls with all the international brands and locals ones too. Quite a few good restaurants eg Impressions, Les Fleurs de Papaye (Vietnamese). Lots of shops around the area which is very modern. A few stops by Metro to Fuzi Miao (Confucius Temple area which is a busy pedestrian area with the River intersecting it, very touristy, apart from being where the Nanjing Confucius Temple is, also the Museum devoted to Imperial Exam System) and to Gulou (newish Catherine Park Entertainment Area with eateries and restaurants). Hotel itself is very clean and modern. Gym, restaurants, etc. Staff generally very friendly, except in the Breakfast restaurant where they tend to rush you before you finish! Our bathroom also started developing a few spots of molds. Do not know whether it is just our own bathroom or is more generalised. In general very clean.

Lovely complex beautifully kept. Tasteful decoration with nostalgic little items which would take you back to the 30's and 40's. Staff are very warm and welcoming. one of the most characteristic resorts. There is a nice charming and relaxing atmosphere within the hotel complex which shelters guest from the crazy world outside. The little exhibitions also enhances the rich culture of the buildings. Things to improve however - gym is a little basic, there is no spa which personally I think is missing a little here. All in all - very lovely. stands out in the hotels in not only the city but also large areas of China.

Our stay at this hotel was very good once we had arrived there. When we booked it, we did so specifically because it was described as being 'Inside the Lukou International Airport Eastern Airlines Jiangsu, Nanjing China', which we took to mean that the hotel was located within the terminal area. Unfortunately, the hotel is not inside the terminal, but is at least 1km away, on the highway to the airport. We started walking along the broken footpath with all of our luggage, and had walked most of way to the hotel, when an airport policeman stopped his car, instructed us to get in, and took us the remainder of the journey. The hotel voucher we had printed off did not include the actual address of the hotel, so even the policeman needed to ask directions to get there!! Once at the hotel, the staff were very helpful and apologised for the misleading info on the website and hotel voucher and arranged for us to be taken (for free) back to the airport for our flight the following day. The reception staff said that we could have arranged a shuttle bus pick up on arrival, but we did not recall seeing this on the website, and why would we have needed a shuttle if the hotel was inside the airport complex! The hotel was very nice, but because it is so close to the airport, there are no shops or resturants nearby.

took a chance on this hotel because it had relatively high reviews but comments all in chinese. i booked a deluxe room on agoda for in hopes that the deluxe room would assure us a decent room. when we got to the room we were not happy. decor was tired and carpets were badly stained. first it was a smoking room and an overwhelming smell from previous guests. we asked for a non smoking room and they said they did not have one. my friend kept pressing and pressing and still no solution. after much more discussion they finally escorted us to a room in a completely different building (building 3) around the back of the main hotel and gave us a wonderful suite. it is like 2 different hotels. all new and fresh (now still a smoking room but not built up years of smoke in the carpet, window treatments etc), flat screen tvs (3 of them- sorry i could not watch cnn/bbc- no english channels) 1.5 baths and a separate sitting area with desk. so the moral to this story, if you need to be in this area for business (visiting factory for us) dont stay in the main hotel building, insist on the building 3. being able to speak chinese definitely made the difference. the staff could not have been nicer but without the help of the cute gal in housekeeping (who had come to spray an air freshener in the room)we never would have had the nice experience we eventually had. bfast not included.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The area is great with lots of eating and shopping areas within walking distance and the closest subway stop is just a minute or two away. The staff didn't speak English, but they were always friendly and patient and did their best to communicate with us. Daily room cleanings and towel changes were much appreciated. For the price, I can't think of a better place in Nanjing.

This hotel is not a member of any major hotel lines but trying to portraits itself as the “Seven Star” hotel of China and a hotel that “you must go to at least once in a lifetime.” Featured famous architect’s design and surrounded by Chinese culture infused interior design, this hotel also wants to imply that they once served Taiwan’s Chiang family, therefore, guests may receive royal service. Unfortunately, they failed. The following is a list of the areas that I observed that they didn’t meet the standards to be a five-star hotel with this price. #1: The selection of the breakfast buffet is extremely limited, worse than a motel. A staff is supposed to cook seafood porridge but they usually disappeared. Instead, they made a pot of seafood porridge over there for people to take. This is ridiculous-will a “seven-star hotel” pre-made everything that is supposed to make to order to their guests? #2: No one monitors the food in the dinner buffet. Every plate is like leftover food.

Stayed here for Nanjing Marathon 2017 as it was pretty close to the start line. 5 mins walk from subway/MRT. 5 mins walk to Wanda shopping centre which has quite a few eateries. All in, above average amenities. However, will need about 30 mins to travel to main shopping area in Xinjiekou. However, was a little disappointed with the in-room facilities. Safe wasn't working. The toilet choked. The shower door couldn't close fully. Aircon wasn't cold despite setting at 18 degrees.

It is a standard Sheraton 4+ star hotel with all the luxury I could want; excellent hotel in excellent shape. I have stayed here several times. Only quibble is that the hotel does not seem to offer "breakfast included" rates. And the cost of breakfast is huge: 150 RMB or more. That's a shame, as the buffet breakfasts are excellent. The separately-operated little shop in the hotel (toiletries, cigarettes, some clothes, candy etc) is one of the few places in Nanjing that reliably carries the daily International Herald Tribune, USA Today, and South China Morning Post. Tell the operator thanks!!

Only stayed on night en route to another city. I think I may have been upgraded as room was large, well appointed and of 5-Star quality. If so, thanks to the staff, they were friendly on arrival and helpful on my early departure. I rated location as 3 as I would not go there if visiting Nanjing (too far from city) but it was closer to the airport and that suited me on this trip. Also, the food was fine and I rated that as 3 - it's what I expected. For a 4, it would need to be noticeably good and 5 to me would be exceeded expectations. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised.

Good all-purpose hotel for visitor to Nanjing. Historic hotel, designed by a top architect and opened a year before the Japanese invaded. Low-rise buildings in a garden just offf a major intersection. Comfortable. Prompt and friendly service. Nice Chinese and Western restaurants on the grounds, in a neighborhood with lots of nice places to eat, pleasant rather than fancy. It's a nice area to go for a walk in. Unfortunately not within walking distance of much anything in the way of business or touristic destinations, and not very near a subway stop. But Nanjing cabs are cheap and usually easy to find, and the desk here will help you.
