Where to stay in Paraty
Paraty hotels & accommodations

This little hotel was very nice, the shower was hot, the bed was comfy, the breakfast was great, and the pool felt great. The staff was very nice, but spoke little English, I was traveling with a Brazilian companion so this was not really an issue, but I thought I would mention it.

We had a good stay in the hotel. We stayed for two nights, which is enough just to see the village of Paraty with the narrow streets of coblestone, eat at some fine restaurants ( go to the restaurant which the hotel recommends; you can eat the best steak there!) The bus station to and from Rio or Sao Paolo is just around the corner, which is perfect!

3 good reasons not to stay here: 1. I found not only my FULL credit card details, name and address including security code written down in pen and paper at the reception desk but that of every guest in the pousada, this is how credit card cloning happens, which is a very common problem in Brazil already. 2. The receptionist refused to believe that this was a security...

The hotel is about 15 mins walk from the historic and charming centre of Paraty. Room to beach took about 30 seconds. The staff are great, the breakfast excellent and the aircon efficient. We ate at the beach restaurant directly opposite the hotel and La Luna which is a little further up the beach. Both were good. Tips; Visit Paraty, it's well worth the 4-5 hour trip...

The room was basic and a bit small. The breakfast is just OK with limited selection but taken by a very nice pool indeed, set in attractive grounds. Staff are friendly but with very limited English. Property is a long way from the historic centre of Paraty - no problem but you need a car, and the area felt safe. There is a really good beachfront restaurant nearby we wo...

This hotel is part of a family home, we think there were about four rooms total. The rooms are good, aircon and shower (essential in the summer heat) worked well. It's about 10-15 minutes walk to the main square of the extremely pretty Paraty. The bus station and a supermarket are about a five minute walk away. The family are very friendly though don't speak English. T...

I stayed 2 nights at Maracuja and it was great! The staff is lovely, the hostel is clean and very well located : 5min from the historical center. The hostel has nice terrasse on the canal to chill and to have a nice caipirinha at sunset. I definitely recommend you to stay there!

The couple that owns the hostel is very sweet! They don't speak English but do you know a little Spanish you can communicate a bit. Breakfast is fruit, sandwiches, coffe, juice and yogurt. Everything is walking distance in Paraty but this hostel seems to be in the middle of it all. There weren't very many people at all when I stayed but if it was a busy season the room...

The property is about 8 km away from the town of Paraty but there are frequent buses and vans that can take you to and from. The property itself offers wonderful views and minimal but tasteful decoration. The room with a balcony is best. Breakfast was great! Overall a great place to stay.

We stayed in Paraty for one night and had a little time to visit the city but Casa de Hospedagem was the perfect place to stay and make the most of it. It is suited in the very heart of the historic city and so it is easy to go around and discover it. The room we shared was spacious, comfortable and quiet which is enjoyable after a long carnaval night. We enjoyed the g...
