Playa Del Carmen hotels & places to stay

Very clean and the food was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from. We called before we booked our trip and asked about what type of liquor they served. They told me it was all good quality liquor but come to find out the hard way that we needed to upgrade our stay. It was still good but not the best. The beach was terrible. Rooms are very nice and clean . Oh forgot room service is not free they charged us for order food.

I went here for a few day break after spending a week with friends at another all inclusive resort to just unwind. It was perfect for what I was looking for. It was very quiet, slow paced and relaxing. The other half (non adult) seemed to be very busy with a lot more action, but this side was very chill. The buffets were very good and the a la carte's were good (small portions, so order more food). Only reason the location got 3 stars is the beach is almost non existent, lot's of erosion. If you want to go to Playa it's only about a 5-10 minute cab ride Otherwise the resort is great.

Food is plenty with great flavours. . Our favourite was Mastogo which served authentic Mx food. We truly appreciated and were wowed by service at the resort.Due to personal reasons we had to cut our visit short by a day. The staff accommodated our special request and agreed to refund. The on-site medical and pharmacy help was prompt and excellent. We felt very safe and cared for. I also recommend Anto from holiday taxis who accommodated our request for really last minute excursion cancellations. Thank you very much team Azulians😀 Overall a great experience and we look forward to seeing you again.

The Royal Playa Del Carmen (is now Hilton Playa Del Carmen) is a great all-inclusive resort. I highly recommend this property. I can't wait to go back. I loved every day I was there. The food, room, A/C, service, room service, bars, employees are all helpful and friendly. Hilton is making some upgrades. PROS: The food is really good for all inclusive (Asiana, Pelicanos, Mexican restaurant (tacos), Spice (breakfast) and Mediterranean place was good as well) The hot tubs in the rooms are really nice Drink service is good Room service has decent food Alcohol selection was good Pool is fun to hang out at all day A/C works really well through the entire resort (except the open air lobby obviously) The entertainment was best I've seen at an all inclusive Close to cenotes for day trips Right next to downtown PDC, which is fun and lots of good bars and clubs CONS: Beach is not the best here They sometimes run out of the alcohol you want Nothing else 24hr lounge food could be better

our holıday started wıth a rude receptıonıst tellıng us that she can only gıve a room wıth separate beds and change the room next day.we told her that we have only 2 days and we dont want to change the room ın such a short term and when we ınsısted she was rude and we even suggested to go to another hotel she saıd ıt ıs upto you.When we ınsısted to see a manager she went ınsıde and came back tellıng us that she solved the matter.When we entered the room ınstead of ocean vıew we were lookıng at the buıldıngs on the street and ıf we dıd bend from the balcony we could hardly see the vıew..So her solutıon was to punısh us wıth a room that we dıd not book.When we asked she saıd our rooms have partıal sea vıew where we dıd not see at agoda.Shortly bad servıce,hıgh prıce,rude personnel ıncludıng the welcomıng guy to market the hotel card(he dıd not let us go to our room before makıng us sıgn the mmembershıp card of hotel and when we saıd fırsrt we want to go to our room he made a face setıously not welcomıng).I wpould suggest people to fınd a better resort that ıs worth the prıce and servıce ın playa del carmın for not ruınıng theır holıday and nerves...

If you are looking for a romantic getaway in Playa Del Carmen, this is it! The location is a short walk to all the action in town and several wonderful restaurants too. I loved all the small touches of love (in the form of hearts... blown-glass hearts and heart sculptures abound) throughout the property! There is a wooden heart attached with your room key, and a wooden heart on a string, to drape over your door for the days you don't want to be disturbed and they even give you a wooden heart attached to their business card when you check out. Very thorough and thoughtful. This place is overflowing with love in the air! There are multiple pools (we loved the rooftop pool and the poolside beds) and jacuzzi too! There is a generous breakfast at the restaurant next door, which comes with your room charge. The staff here are super friendly and very resourceful - this hotel is wonderful! I can't recommend it enough!

Amazing. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The whole place was amazing, from the beautiful toiletries to the hammock on the balcony, and the ridiculously comfortable beds with beautiful soft linen. The roof service meals were delicious, the staff were so helpful and friendly and we even lived the local gift (tubes of Yucatan honey) left on our pillows as part of the turn down service. The view from the rooftop pool was great, the pool was very clean and the day beds very comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Compared to hotels we have stayed in other parts of Mexico, this hotel is a very good standard for the price. It seems new and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are lovely and there is a family atmosphere, especially in the mornings. The breakfast is a mini buffet for only fifty pesos - it's cheap compared to most cafes around. It would be perfect if there was a pool, but the beach is only five blocks away. It is very close to shopping and nightlife and a huge Mega supermarket.

nice and cosy appartment style hotel. we had a room for 3 people (3seperate beds)with a clean bathroom with shower and a little kitchen with fridge. airco and fan in the room worked ok and we had no complaints watsoever. a 15 min walk takes you to the beach and shopping area of playa del carmen, taxi costs about 70 pesos. there are busses that pas but we did not mind the walk so never tried them.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was gracious and helpful. We were greeted with a cold drink and escorted to our room immediately. We had a problem with the air conditioning system in our first room, but after failing to fix the unit, we were moved to an even nicer room. I would definitely return to La Tortuga in the near future. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, and intimate hotel in Playa Del Carmen.

i chose to stay at this resort as friends where getting married at a resort close by. on the day of the wedding i had requested an early check in as the wedding was in the early afternoon. when i presented at reception, i was told that check in was at 3pm. i showed the receptionist my emails request that had been acknowledged by email only be told that my room was not ready and they would not guarantee that it would be ready before 3pm. i asked if there was somewhere that i could at least get ready for the wedding only to be told firmly "no". thankfully my room was ready early but only just enough time to get to the wedding. laundry - i asked when i was checking in if i could get laundry done only to be told the laundry was closed (11am) and i should drop it of the next morning which i did at 7am. at 4.30pm i rang reception to enquire as to where my laundry was only to be told it would be returned the following afternoon - which would be after i was due to check out. i subsequently had no clothes or undergarments as every thing was in the wash - and after some negotiation got access to my clothes so i could do some hand washing. my washing was returned to me half an hour before i was due to check out. the rooms themselves are tired and dated, although large and airy. the setting is fantastic with lovely pool/beach area. however there is limited wi-fi access (not available in rooms) which you have to pay extra for.

my boyfriend and i stayed at the sando playacar for 4 days and attended our friend's wedding there as well. it is a fantastic resort located at the end of the resort strip which was nice because you can walk to the other side and pretty much have the whole beach to yourself. the grounds and the rooms are very well maintained and everyone is very professional. we got upgraded to the adults only section because they couldn't locate our reservation right away, which was awesome because these rooms have a minibar and a jacuzzi. even though you are in an all inclusive, it is still nice to be able to just roll out of bed and grab a drink right away, lol. the adults only pool also had a swim up bar with stools so you can sit in the water and have a beverage! food, imo, was just average other than the brazilian steakhouse which was so delicious and everything came out piping hot! make reservations early! the other nice thing is that you can get bikes from the resort and ride into playa del carmen in 20 min. and do a little shopping! overall we would come back again and definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Hacienda Paradise in Playa del Carmen. It takes about 5min taxi from the bus stop. It faces a big road, but once you close the hotel door, it is very quiet inside the room, so it was no problem. It is not located on the beach coast, but it was only 5-10min from the hotel to the very nice beach. It was only 3 min walk from the street full of great restaurants. The hotel staff will give you the list of nice restaurants. Hotel staffs were very friendly. They arranged our visit to Xcaret(it was amazing too) and taxi to there. I was also amazed at the breakfast. It was so delicious! For those who are on low budget but like nice stay at Playa del Carmen, this is the place for you!
