San Juan hotels & accommodations

This place was different level. The service was amazing. From the moment i stepped out of my Uber; every need was met with the utmost attention. Every single employee of this hotel deserves an award. They are all very well informed/trained and curated the most beautiful experience for my girlfriend and I. We will be back every time we visit puerto rico !

We stayed at embassy suites casino and hotel super close to the airport after our cruise! It was fabulous! Customer service was outstanding! We called early when our cruise arrived back and were tired and wanted to lay by the pool while we waited for our 4pm check in. This was not an issue at all. They held our bags and gave us a temporary card pass for the pool while ...

Updated room photos needed. Booked a king bed, received two full beds, staff stated they were out of king beds. I had to be moved to another room since the ceiling in my original one was leaking. I was also charged a resort fee at the hotel yet when I booked through Agoda that showed as part of the fees when reservation was paid in full. I will be calling to obtain cre...

We stayed for 1 night and it was fine, small rooms but the place has character, everything a little old but not bad at all, the a/c made alot of noise but wasn't really a issue, the bar was cool but was right next to our room although noise wasn't an issue (apart from a/c), couldn't get the television to receive a good enough picture to watch which was a bit annoying, ...

location was wonderful: close to the cruise port, many restaurants, perfect place to stay to experience the culture of old san juan. rooms are definitely not the best available. none of the windows open up for you to get fresh air. our room smelled musty, damp, and dusty, so we had to ask a maid to vacuum the entire room prior to our stay. this is not a hotel you would...

The hotel had a pool and hot tub which made the stay very positive. The front desk staff were awesome. Special thanks to Scarlet who was super helpful. The facilities were acceptable. The only complaint was that breakfast was a little crowded at times and the food was sometimes dry. The location and price were excellent.

We were very disappointed in the quality of the shower. You could not maintain water pressure or temperature. Everything else was great. The staff was nice. Our room had a good view. Felt the hotel charged a larger fee but delivered less than the quality such a fee should cover.

The location of the hotel was good. More than enough bars and restaurants within walking distance. But didn't have to leave the property to have fun at night. Casino on site was fun. There was a sports bar that showed all the football games on Sunday and the lounge was hopping on Saturday night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service came in a reasonabl...

Overall, very good. You cannot beat the location- the beach, convenience stores, restaurants and bars are only a step away and you are paying much less than the vast majority of hotels in the area. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast, however, was underwhelming and the walls are a bit thin with the rooms being so close together. Thus noisy guests can so...

This was a very bad place to stay. Not clean. No water in the shower. Broken toilet. No wifi in the room or in the lobby. The aircond was very cold all the time and made a lot of noise. It was not possible to adjust the temperature. I froze all the time, even with all my clothes on. Many guests complained to the owner and the staff. Nothing happened. They replied very a...

The room was clean, but quite small. The noise from the air conditioner was the main issue for me. Breakfast was included, but the selection was limited to white bread and cereals etc. only. The staff was polite and willing to help with booking daily activities etc. The building itself looks very cute from outside.

Spend one night and are coming back for one more. Close to the airport, but fixed taxi-prices to most places so expensive taxi-rides during our stay that included old San Juan and the Bacardi destillery (Great!). Hotelroom ok, nothing fancy, but no problems. Very strong AC! Reserved the room for $190 two nights but with taxes and fees it ended in $240 for 3 people!! An...

We trusted Agoda.com to have actual knowledge of the establishments they push on their site but that is not the case. We had a Booking Confirmation to this place but when we got there, the hotel doors were chained and padlocked. The owner saw us with our confirmation in hand and could not believe that this happened. The hotel has been closed for renovations since la...

We loved our stay here prior to and after our Cruise. The room was very spacious and clean with a nice Ensuite Bathroom. Very comfortable Queen bed and a great air conditioner. The staff were wonderful and could not have been more helpful. We loved our stay here And would definitely return if we ever return to San Juan.

The apartment for up to eight persons, 2B, is as handsome as the photos show. Wonderful friendly local hosting. But in the whole apartment there is just one closet, with the stacked washer-dryer inside and a single rail installed at more than 6 feet up, above the dryer. There is not one hanger for clothing, and not one clothes closet. This could be difficult if a few ...

This hotel was in a great location - across the street from the beach and within walking distance of several restaurants. Pros- great area everything is within walking distance. Hot tub always monitored and kept clean. Cons- the rooftop bar is almost nonexistent. Only used for breakfast. Limited parking, however, they do have an assigned lot within walking distance. General- I would definitely stay here again

Discover the Allure of San Juan Puerto Rico
San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a captivating destination that seamlessly blends rich history with modern vibrancy. As the capital city, it boasts stunning colonial architecture, colorful streets, and a lively atmosphere that enchants visitors from the moment they arrive. The historic Old San Juan, with its cobblestone streets and iconic forts, tells tales of the island's past, while the new districts pulse with contemporary life, making it a remarkable place to explore.
One of the city's most striking features is its architecture, which reflects a mix of Spanish colonial influences and Caribbean flair. Iconic sites like El Morro and San Cristóbal forts stand guard over the harbor, showcasing the city's military significance in centuries past. Meanwhile, the pastel-colored buildings of Old San Juan create a picturesque backdrop, perfect for leisurely strolls and Instagram-worthy photos. Visitors can immerse themselves in the local culture by visiting art galleries, museums, and vibrant plazas, where the spirit of Puerto Rican life comes alive.
Beyond its historical charm, San Juan is known for its energetic nightlife and delicious culinary scene. From lively salsa clubs to trendy rooftop bars, there’s no shortage of places to enjoy a night out. Food lovers will delight in the local cuisine, which features a fusion of flavors influenced by Taino, African, and Spanish traditions. Street vendors and upscale restaurants alike serve up mouthwatering dishes like mofongo, lechón, and fresh seafood, ensuring that every meal is an adventure in taste.
When to Experience San Juan's Best Vibes
The best time to visit San Juan is typically between December and April, when the weather is pleasantly warm and dry. This period coincides with the peak tourist season, making the city vibrant with festivals, events, and a bustling atmosphere. Travelers can enjoy outdoor activities, beach days, and cultural celebrations without the worry of rain. However, it’s important to book accommodations in advance, as hotels fill up quickly during these months.
For those looking to avoid the crowds, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons of late spring and early fall. While temperatures may rise, the city remains lively, and visitors can enjoy a more relaxed experience. Plus, hotel prices often dip during these times, making it a budget-friendly option for savvy travelers. Keep an eye out for local festivals such as the San Sebastián Street Festival in January, which showcases Puerto Rican music, food, and dance, providing a unique cultural experience.
Summer months can be hot and humid, with occasional rain showers, but this is also a great time to find deals on accommodations. If you don’t mind the heat, you can explore San Juan’s attractions with fewer tourists around. Be sure to pack light, breathable clothing and stay hydrated while enjoying the city’s many offerings.
