But we enjoyed hot spring in the hotel room was nice experience in Yilan! Thanks!"

"We were there on New Year's Eve, the staff recommended all the countdown activities and places-to-go in the area while we check-in. Very friendly staff indeed. The rooms are themed and there is flexibility to choose which empty room to stay at. The hotel has a perfect location, where it is near to the YiLan train station, and with night market just round the corner. It was over my expectation to have stayed at a hotel like Day-Chen at such a reasonable low price."

"This hotel is only one year old. I am sure it is the best in this small town. Most of hotel staffs are kind but lack of experience. I believe it is due to lack of training or lack of good management team to lead. From service point of view, I would rate 2.5 stars. Breakfast is ok. Dinner is way below average. "

"Beautiful hotel and great service! The scenery surround the hotel is breathtaking! The Air is crispy clean! U dun even feel like u are in Taiwan! its Heaven on Earth! The room are just equally amazing and superb clean, the bed are so comfortable u just feel like sleeping on it after having a great time in the hot spring. The service is great except that it is very crowded and they tends to forget yr orders. I rem once i had some Sake in the lobby and wanted the balance of sake to bring it to my room, while i was waiting for my sake to arrive in my room, to my horror i was told all the service staffs from the lobby bar had went home! Well i still get my sake after waited for more than 30 mins. No apologies from the staffs thou. However, i am still overall please with everything. I went with my mother, as this is our first time in Yilan Jiaosi it is definitely worth it ! I will be back and still stay at this hotel!"

"The hostel has a problem with black mold (even in the dorm beds you will face it) & with stinking pipes. The hostel design is nice, but there is no warmth or atmosphere whatsoever. Most of the staff (? acquaintance of owner) just bluntly stare at you, but without a smile, not even a short hello/nihao, which makes you feel awfully awkward and uncomfortable. (The cleaning girl was nice!). The dorm is a box, which is alright if you stay 1 or 2 nights and if there are max 2 ppl in there. The breakfast ist nice. In the afternoon the common room is dark/ cold and seems to be shut down from electricity… kitchen WiFi wasnt strong and the entrance area (tables, light) is always occupied by staff/acquaintences mentioned above. There are much more welcoming hostels in Yilan County!"

"hotel located 5mins walk from the train station which we went to Yilan and the coach station which we travelled to Taipei. The room has an air condition problem and it leak water like heavy rains on the first day, the hotel offered another room to us. In fact, the 2nd room has a larger bath but the 1stroom has a bigger bed and more spacy. We visited the restaurants twice apart from the breakfast time, one for dinner and one for lunch for the hotpot, the food is good and fresh, we are impressed. The breakfast is a bit boring, as it is the same set breakfast with salad, bread, egg and sauage."

"We have been staying 3 nights at the Yamagata Kaku Hotel & Spa. Steven and the hotel staff have made our stay magnificent. It is brand new hotel with all commodities, fitness center, spa and restaurants. Guess rooms are spacious and each bathroom has large hot springs bath. Seldom we have been welcomed as we have been in this hotel. Mark has kindly organised a whole day hiking trip for us to visit the best of spots/hiking trails/waterfalls in Jiaoxi/Yilan. I would deeply recommend the Yamagata hotel for the dedication and kindest of the staff made towards the guests. I wish all the deemed success to the Yamagata Kaku hôtel & spa"
