"We initially booked this hotel for 2 days, coz we thought we might want to move and experience another hotel. It turned out this hotel is great, so we booked the hotel for the rest of our stay in Yogyakarta. Mostly this hotel is booked by the local Indonesian, I rarely see the foreigner in this hotel. The breakfast was great, a lot of variety of food. We also tried the Jogyavaganza, culinary experience of local Yogyakarta foods by the pool on every Saturday. It was good. I just feel the area of the elevator is a little bit too stuffy and hot. Other than that everything was fine.."

"It was nice staying 4 nights at Sahid Hotel Yogyakarta. The location is good as it is integrated with Yogya City Walk Mall Babarsari and close to Atma Jaya University, UPN and also to Prambanan Temple or road to Solo and Magelang. The building is new but he room is small. The menu is great and delicious. I think it was worth it staying at the 4 Stars Hotel but price 2 Stars Hotel 😁"

"We lodged in two rooms, one single room on 3rd floor with spacious comfortable bed, clean, neat, though small but very well arranged. Other two bed room on 2nd floor for my two growing boys. Its a modest stay, perfectly match with the location and surrounding. Breakfast is good and sufficient, only need to find the right time to get a nice table near the pool, otherwise the resto is too small for the many guests they have. Staffs are very nice, fast and competent, even to organize and get my rented car parked and retrieved from somewhere, as the parking place in front of the hotel is too small for more than 10cars. The street is narrow and need to be patient for getting in and out with cars, but its yogyakarta anyway, enjoyfull. There is prawirotaman tradisional market at one side of the hotel, the street will be blocked from that end during early morning time. in all, a good priced, well located, artistic and nice hotel, with its forgetable minus."

"Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta Hotel always been my choice whenever I'm going to Yogyakarta for business or holiday. The breakfast was wonderful (compared to other hotel in Yogyakarta) and with golf view! What's more refreshing than that in the morning to begin your activities! Although the hotel is quite old, they still maintain the hotel and the room itself to stay clean, just like in Bali ..."

"To sum up, this hotel is simply amazing from all point of view. Personally I would say this could be one of the best hotel in Yogyakarta and one of the best that we have stayed throughout our travel around the world. Excellent hospitality from the point of check in to check out. The hotel is located 0.5km from the biggest shopping mall in Yogyakarta (the Ambarukmo Mall). The hotel provides complimentary shuttle services to Ambarukmo Mall/ Lippo Mall and also to the famous Malioboro street shopping district. Malioboro street is around 20 minutes ride from the hotel. Room: We stayed in the premier double room. The room is clean, comfy and huge, The birthday setting was superb with personal touch from the hotel staffs. Cleanliness it top notch. Common area: No matter which corner you walk to, the entire hotel is clean and shining at all times. 6 star! Check out their green house/hydroponic garden. A must see. Pool: Big, clean and suitable for both adults and children. Breakfast: One of the best spread that we have seen. Overall it exceeded our expectations. From Indian food, to local and western, name it and they have it all right there. Complimentary cakes, cappuccino or even espresso!!! I will take some time to honour the following hotel staffs who had gone beyond their time and effort to ensure we had a fantastic stay: 1. Via - Verandah Restaurant - Excellent personal touch in preparing our cocktail. Very attentive and humble, 2. Jasmine - Retreat Spa -Though we didn't use the spa this time, the spa looked amazing. She took the time to take me for a tour and a personal thanks to her for recommending a nice hangout spot to chill out in town. 3. Retno - She was simply fantastic. From the point we arrived at the hotel, she was right there waiting for us to ensure that we had a smooth check in. She treated us with Bak Pia while waiting for our check in. The best part, she brought the birthday cake to our room to surprise my wife with a birthday song. Best birthda"

"We booked four rooms during our trip to Yogyakarta. The staffs are amazing, they do their best to meet our needs. We requested for connecting rooms and they fulfil our request. We love the pools and also the outdoor garden. The only improvement for them is to clean the room carpet as stains are visible. We had wedang ronde (ginger drink) at night and the peanut we had were stale and they have no kolang kaling / palm fruit / atap seed. We didnt have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. The hotel is located within walking distance from malioboro street, but far enough so we were not stuck in traffic. Nearby the hotel, there is a gudeg place that is nice and cheap. We love our stays there and will come back again when we go to Yogyakarta"

I get my wife to join me on that special occasion, we both arrive on October 7 (Sunday) and enjoying staying in Yogyakarta. During Oct. 8 - 10 , every 8 AM - 4.30 PM was my time to attend the course (training) after that time, my wife and I went sightseeing around Yogyakarta and enjoy the moments, enjoy the food experience, very exciting .. .. "Fancy yet homy hotel. Competitive price compared to other 4-stars hotels. A little bit far from city center, but you are compensated with the fact that it is near to a big shopping arcade, and surrounded by plenty culinary spots in walking distance. The staff are friendly and respectful. Sport facilities are located on the 3rd floor, from the pool to the gym (didn’t have time to access them, since they were closed very early, 8 pm, not 10 pm as most of other hotels). Overall, it is a good place to stay and to experience different side of the city of Yogyakarta."

Discover the Best Time to Visit Yogyakarta for Your Dream Vacation

Yogyakarta, also known as Jogja, is a vibrant city located on the island of Java in Indonesia. It is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world, thanks to its rich cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and delicious local cuisine. However, choosing the best time to visit Yogyakarta can be a bit tricky, as the city experiences two distinct seasons: the wet season and the dry season. The wet season in Yogyakarta runs from October to April, with the heaviest rainfall occurring from December to February. Despite the rain, this season can be a great time to visit, as the city is lush and green, and the temperatures are cooler. The wet season is also the low season for tourism, which means that hotel rates are generally lower and there are fewer crowds to contend with. On the other hand, the dry season in Yogyakarta runs from May to September, with June to August being the driest months. This is the peak season for tourism, as the weather is sunny and pleasant, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. However, this also means that hotel rates are generally higher, and the city can be crowded with tourists. Ultimately, the best time to visit Yogyakarta depends on your preferences and travel plans. If you are looking for a budget-friendly trip and don't mind a little rain, then the wet season may be the best time for you. However, if you want to enjoy the city's outdoor attractions and don't mind paying a little extra for accommodation, then the dry season may be the way to go.
