"We just needed a base in Zakynthos for 2 nights in October, before flying back to UK. Great budget hotel (~€30/night in October for "superior", seaview double room with a sort of buffet "breakfast"). A large (needed if it's raining and there are two of you), but stark room with a desperate requirement for a new carpet. The bathroom was basic, and, bizarrely, shared a central air shaft with the room next door. The shaft, which ran down the side of the bath/shower had a metal, slatted panel. The bathroom of the room next door had the same, so you could virtually see your next door neighbour having a shower/bath while you did, and hear them talking as if they were in the same room with you lol. The room was noisy at night, when guests come in late, as we were opposite the lift. Other than the aforementioned, it was clean and OK as a base if the sun is shining."
