They mad a mistake and didn't have my reservation for this hotel, i am just writing this for the points, but honestly this is the best hotel i have stayed at in Quito, Ecuador. I have stayed here in the past.

Most of the staff are helpful and kind, one dude is a bit grumpy. (; Beds and bathrooms feel dated – more wall sockets and curtains for privacy are needed here. However, the location is good, especially if you‘re into partying. I would probably return just to see how it develops.

We stayed 2 nights. The only window in the room has a view of the main lobby so curtains had to be closed for privacy. Don't ask for laundry service here. They charged us 30 USD for 2 small bags when there was laundry service just down the street for less than 2 dollars per kilo. The staff speaks great english. I would stay here again.

We have stayed at a number of places in Quito - all ok but didn't like the neighborhoods. Cayman was in what appeared to be a very nice area. We felt safer there than the other hostals we have tried. Facility was spotless, beautiful grounds, and the handled our transportation to and from the airport with no problems. We will stay there again.

Hotel is a $5 cab ride from the airport. Come out of the hotel front door, turn right, turn right again and on the corner (on the right is the place to get a $10 shuttle to Salinas. The walls in this hotel are very thin. I could hear the sounds from the families staying around me including snoring at night and crying children. This was a good clean hotel. It was the only one on the three main islands I stayed in this price range where I got a warm shower, so that felt great. This is an OK place to stay if you don’t need anything fancy, and want something cheap. The floor in our room was just the same worn concrete floor as outside the room, and it didn’t feel especially cozy or comfortable. I don’t think we would stay here again, but it was acceptable for one night.

Wifi was not working in the room, water was on and off all the time, so we couldn't have a shower or use the toilet, the electric was also off as well, which was a nightmare at night. The location was nice and the breakfast was good but I wouldn't recommend the place too a friend.

they need to keep hot water for showers. it really is not a resort nothing was included no meals, drinks, you had to buy your water to drink and no ice. the hired personnel was excellent the cooks, security and waiters.

Ayampe is a very small, relaxed town. Spondylus Lodge has a spacious shared kitchen, living room area, as well as several sweet dogs and cats. Really Nice & charming room ! The hotel is really close to the beach and the restaurant (Italian food) is the best of the town. The staff is really helpfull and available if you want to book tours & activities (we saw a lot of whales, big manta rays & tortles. It was fine. For the money - about $18 including breakfast- maybe it was more than fine. But if you go do keep in mind the low cost if you encounter any disappointments.

Several excellent restaurants and cafes offering good cappuccino -expresso near the hotel as typical coffee offered appears to be the instant variety. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast that included eggs, juice, fresh baked rolls.

We highly recommend staying here. The hostel is located in a charming street near the train station. We were positively surprised by the room, which was modern and stylish. The owner is a warm and kind man, and he helped us with whatever we needed. We loved the delicious breakfast that was prepared just for us. We would definitely stay here again.

I have chosen it because it is situaded central and I booked the train to devils nose the next morning at 8:00.

Very well kept lodge on the volcano slopes. Beautifully positioned (km 23 marker on the only road) with a rustic, remote feel close to nature. Few facilities due to its remoteness but all the better for it. Meals hand crafted and served in wonderfully traditionally furnished central lodge.

the hotel is quite out of town, but that's ok for us for staying just for a night. Food delivery is available, it was perfect for our late night arrival.
