Located in a nice neighbourhood. About 30mins walk to the central, or there's transmetro that you can use. Staff was helpful, kitchen was ok, hot shower, extra blanket upon request.

Stayed here for two nights in February and will not forget the cold rooms (16-17 degrees Celsius). All attempts to heat up the room with the aircon failed. When I called them, they said the heater doesn't work and that they don't have heating in Guatemala (although the aircon unit had a heating function). So I had to work with my jacket and shoes on. Great location and helpful staff for airport pick up and drop off. But like many other hotels in Guatemala there are no screens on the windows, mosquitoes, no fan and no AC. So you will sweat with no air movement

A great place to spend the night in Guatemala City between flying and moving around the county. Facilities are clean and comfortable. Best thing about this place is the host, who is extremely helpful (and is a native English speaker).

I have booked hotel Meson de Maria by reading good reviews. They did not disappoint me. Nice clean room, good wi-fi and good location for sightseeing. Only small complin was breakfast. Most of the food run out when I went there. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location near market and obviously Antigua is so small so you can get anywhere easily by walking a few steps in either direction.

Antigua has wonderful choices, with beautiful patios and delicious breakfasts...this is not one of those.

After initial confusion to my room, I was placed in a an upstairs room, 1 of 2 on that level, nice spacious room, great bathroom with all amenities, super cheap. A little out of the ways, but still close to restaurants and shops... Wifi was good, no negatives to be honest...

The rooms are very basic, a few stains on the blanket, you don't have your own bathroom. However, location is great and staff is friendly. Also wifi was very good. Laundry option is nice too.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. The staff, the building, the food, the ambience all perfection. The only negative was the terrible wifi and depressing oprah music in the dining area. I will definitely be back. Beautiful.

It’s ok to walk the distance in the day - but too dangerous once the sun goes down. Reception wil book a taxi for you at a cost of £4. Reception staff were lovely. Sadly no drinks other than coffee and tea served by the hotel. Breakfast was lovely.

Stayed with a family group for just a night. It's a lovely welcoming place with beautiful gardens, comfortable and large rooms, very nice bathrooms and an amazing breakfast buffet.

We stayed in a room on second flour with a cozy balcony. The bathroom was very clean, but little hot water. (Probably it is common thing in most hotels in Guatemala.) Free drink water and coffee. Convenient location as it is close to market. A care taker on weekends is very kind.

The location is great, but the street in front of the holiday is pretty busy and can be loud at times. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast is a typical Guatemalan, which is good!

I paid for a dorm room, but it seems like most backpackers head to Los Amigos in the middle of the island so it meant I had the room to myself which was nice. Really helpful staff (Spanish only - which was fine), helped me book my tours to Tikal, but I paid more than some on the tour so maybe shop around.

This is a great little hotel right in Santa Elena, Guatemala. Close to the bus station, quiet and a few blocks from the island of Flores, Flores has many artisan shops and local restaurants facing the lake just prefect for relaxing after a browsing the shops.
