"We are regulars at the Moevenpick Heritage Hotel in Singapore, but our experience at the Moevenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea was beyond exhilarating and we are extremely thankful for spending our honeymoon there. It is the best stay we have ever had. The hotel staffs were pleasant and friendly. The ambience was out-of-this-world and we watched sunrise and sunset by the dead sea from our balcony everyday! Breakfast was beautifully set and had an array of yummy choices for our Asian taste. On the way to the beach, we passed some villas and we admired the pathways and rooms so much that we plan to return again someday. There were plenty of pools, free shuttles to the private beach and numerous restaurants with various atmospheres for all ages. We took a couple massage session at the Zara Spa and it was an amazing experience. The staffs made us feel so special and even gave us a tour with complimentary drinks and usage of the extensive spa facilities. There is even an indoor private dead sea pool for those who want away from the sun. At every second spent at the hotel, we didn’t want to leave the premises. There were lots of large families and children but we still felt a personal space for our honeymoon. I am lost for words on how happy and blessed you guys made us feel, and we really look forward to return someday soon! Thank you for making our dream honeymoon come true! Syukran!"

"we managed to get a room here for a night for 75 EUR, which was really good value. I have stayed in 3 resorts on the Dead Sea Jordan side, from cheap to super expensive, and this one was really good value. Food was decent, not gonna blow your mind and could use more fresh fruits etc, the place was clean and the staff were pretty good. It's also is pretty quiet and relaxed, not full of big groups and families like the Dead Sea Spa resort. the place is looking a little dated these days, but the location, the Dead Sea beach, and the pools are all good. Room was a good size, quiet and nice furnishings. if you want super luxury and can afford it, go Kempinski, without a doubt. But otherwise I would choose here for value. "

"The Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea was recommended by a friend, and it didn't disappoint. I was looking for the most affordable option in this area that would still give us great views of the Dead Sea. The Holiday Inn fits that bill. The food was ok--pretty typical--but our room was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool area. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate our first day--sand storm!--but the second day was beautiful and we were able to enjoy the mud masks and floating in the Dead Sea."

"Kempinski Ishtar is a stunning hotel. Last time when I visited Dead Sea, I stayed at Movenpick hotel which was already good, but Kempinski easily surpasses all the criteria you can judge. The grounds are huge and exceptionally beautiful. They have several pools, two of them are heated so that you can do a long swimming lapse, or chill out and watching sunset at Dead Sea in a mild weather in December. F&B are good, especially the breakfast line. It's quite extraordinary that they have Blanc de blancs in the breakfast line without any additional charge! The only (very minor) comments about breakfast line is that there is no fresh fruit smoothies station. Also, you cannot bring your own alcohol into the property (they scan your luggage!). So be prepared to pay for expensive drinks (with a hefty Jordanian alcohol taxes) Spa facilities are also exceptional. There are both indoor and outdoor pools. The most interesting one is indoor "Dead Sea" pool where they pumped Dead Sea water in. Therapists are great - most of them are from Thailand so they know how to use the right amount of pressure to relax your muscles. Highly recommended!"

"The one and only favorite hotel in Dead Sea.. The staff were the most friendly ever, especially: 1. Front desk and reception: Rami and Amer Nawaji. 2. House keeping Mr. Omar Nawaji. 3. Room service: Rami. 4. Food and beverage: Ali Mansour. All of these amazing folks makes your stay unforgettable.. Yet, the beach, I’d suggest to replace the stones with sands instead. And regarding the adults pool, it would be more cheerful if it has more energetic atmosphere from a DJ to pool bar and animation team. Best wishes and keep it up Mariott Staff. Shareef Shanableh"

"There's not much to do in Dead Sea except to enjoy the experience of floating and relaxing in the Dead Sea. This is a comfortable resort hotel to spend the entire day since there's no activity outside of the resort. Courteous and gentle lifeguards who assist at the beach just in case the "extremely" salty sea water gets into the eyes or to walk into the sea covered with rocks and crystalized salts on the sea bed for the first time. "Really great location, secluded with beautiful Dead Sea views. With a private hot water spring (indoor and outdoor pools), it's the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff are warm and friendly, and want to help, despite most not speaking any English. Internet works close to the office. I asked if I could pay by credit card in advance of ordering any food, and was assured this was possible, as I was low on cash and on my way back to the airport. When their credit card machine didn't work, the owner told me it was "on the house." Really wonderful hospitality. Would recommend to anyone."

Travel Tips for a Smooth Dead Sea Experience

Planning a trip to the Dead Sea can be exciting, but a few travel tips can help ensure a smooth experience. First and foremost, pack appropriately for the climate. Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for the warm months, while layers are recommended for cooler evenings, especially during winter. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and a hat to protect yourself from the intense sun, as the Dead Sea’s low elevation can increase UV exposure.

Additionally, it’s wise to stay hydrated while visiting the region. The high salt concentration in the Dead Sea can lead to dehydration, so drinking plenty of water is essential. Keep in mind that while floating in the Dead Sea is a must-do activity, it’s important to avoid getting the salty water in your eyes, as it can be quite irritating. Swim goggles can be a helpful accessory for those who want to enjoy the experience without discomfort.

Lastly, familiarize yourself with local customs and etiquette. The Dead Sea is a popular destination for tourists, but it’s also important to respect the local culture. When visiting religious sites, dress modestly and be mindful of the customs observed by the local communities. Understanding these cultural nuances will enhance your experience and foster a deeper connection with the region.
