Located in Shuhe Ancient Town, Desti Youth Park is about 20 minutes' drive from Lijiang Dayan Old Town. It offers comfortable dormitories housed in one of the oldest Tibetan buildings in town. It features a sun terrace and a shared lounge. Free WiFi is accessible throughout the entire property. Youth Park Desti is a 13-minute drive from Baisha Old Town and a 25-minute car ride from Lashihai. Shuttle service is possible to some of the places and car hire is possible upon request. Lijiang Sanyi Airport is located an hour's drive away. Rooms here are all decorated in different city themes. Bathroom and toilet are shared with other guests. Slippers are provided. The property has a 24-hour front desk, where guest can store their luggage. Staff at tour desk will help with trip plans and ticket booking. Guest can rent a bicycle to explore around, or social at the rooftop bar. Regular on-site activities, books and free movies are available. Simple breakfast can be enjoyed at the on-site Geography Cafe.

Modern vibe, simple but well executed amenities. Room was clean, spacious, well lit. Aesthetically pleasing exterior and common areas. Several beautiful and friendly golden retrievers hanging out on the premises. Checkin process took quite a while, could be streamlined. (I understand that this is a general issue at all Chinese accommodations as they're required to copy more and more personal information for foreign guests.) A bit more expensive compared to other hostels in the area, but nice enough to feel worth it.
