"Lao Zhang and his family are wonderful. To reach the house from Beijing center takes around 3h but their hospitality makes it worthy. I took bus nr 919 from Beijing until Yanqing and he came to pick me up by car. I was really well received and Mr. Zhang 's wife cooks amazing food. His mother even took me to visit Yongning town and bought me a hat to protect me from the heat. His brother and niece were also very attentive and we enjoyed playing cards and discussing in English. The house is very big and comfortable. I would recommend to rent a car instead of coming by public transportation as they are some very nice spots to visit around. The Great Wall is about 25km from here so if you have a car is very well located as well. The room was simple but clean and the WC are the traditional ones that they use in here (not the ones in Europe). For me it was not a problem but good to know if you have legs issues. Once more a big xié xie for everything and see you soon again! "
