FX Yansha Hotel”
Eager to try out various hotel during my stay in Beijing and came across FX Hotel Yansha in the internet. Found the picture was attractive and review by fellow travellers were quite "real", so give a try by staying for a week in Mar 2009. I booked the budget room without the window and it was, as written, very clean, neat and very modern deco. Very value for money. Staff were pleasant and helpful, no problem with English.

Nice & cozy hotel at Chaoyang area”
I was arriving Beijing with an early flight, reaching the hotel around 10am. The firendly staff has found my booking and immediately let me check-in, although the was not the check in time yet, but off course the room is available. I always like to book a room without window, not only because it is cheaper, but due to the no noise from the outside. Sometimes early in the morning, the noise from the morning rubbish truck will be disturbing. After all,I must say that FX Hotel YanSha is located at a very convenient location where it is at the busy business district of ChaoYang. The MRT station is around the corner. Walking toward the MRT station is a pleasant path with great river view. I will definitely return to this hotel for my next visit to Beijing.

I only stayed at the FX Hotel YanSha for one night. I found it on the internet and it seemed true to most of the reviews I read. It was clean, simple, a good choice for a budget stay. I choose the budget room without window, which was fine as the room had enough lightening. I arrived in Beijing at night so it wasn't a long taxi ride from the airport, about 65 rmb. I can't remember how long, maybe 20 minutes. My taxi driver didn't know the location, but I had the hotel phone number with me and they gave him directions to the approximate location. Thankfully the building is tall with a large FX on it so I noticed it and told the taxi driver to turn around once I saw it. Otherwise, we might have been driving around for a while. The front desk helped me settle in and then told me where my room was, but didn't show me to my room. I am not sure that the heat/air controls worked, but the temperature was adequate and the bedspread warm. It was definitely cheaper to book the room through Agoda than to show up. About 20 USD cheaper.

fx hotels are the best prices and have the best rooms for the money. always clean and always updated on the rooms. shower, beds, linen, tv's and room comfort number 1. the restaurants are always great and the staff is always helpful. a great place to stay just passing through or extended stays. please note this one small thing that would have made the stay perfect.( the listing shows the location to have a spa, it does not have one ).

FX Hotel YanSha is very strategically located at the river bank. Not to mention the view is nice and environment is quiet, there are local convenient store where I can get suitable mobile prepaid phone card, drinking water and other snacks for my week long stay at Beijing.

location of hotel very inconvenience. many taxi drivers do not know how to get to the hotel as the hotel only operates for less than a year. hotel is near to "Yan Sha You Yi Shang Chang" where you can go for some shopping. "Lan She Kang Wan" is a nice and luxury shopping centre which is a distance opposite from FX Yansha hotel. "Lan She Kang Wan" is very beautifully decorated with lighting and very nice Christmas decoration.. this hotel is nice and beautiful except the location makes us spent a lot on cab fare finding the place. other than that, it is a great place to stay in. note that the room's toilet is covered with transparent glass and might be inconvenient.

i stayed at fx yansha for one month and will def. recommend it if the location suits you. only con is that the staff don't speak ver good english. we can communicate, but for any special requests a translater is needed. and the bed is soft and not like a wooden board like many other hotels in china.

Spacious room wirhout window”
we arrived at beijing capital international airport terminal 2 past midnight where airport express train is no longer running. since all the taxi cab do not know the location of this hotel, we decided to take the line 2 bus outside the airport to sanyuanqiao (first stop) which cost per person and take the taxi cab to the hotel for. look for the round structure on top of the building with fx sign. the fx hotel is located at maizidian west road but there are also maizidian east road and maizidian road which brought about the confusion in locating this hotel. the hotel is dark due to its black color background. the no window room is spacious with all the toiletries, slippers, bottled water, mini bar, kettle for boiling water, tea but no coffee. the bath room is smelly even with the exhaust fan that is coming from the floor drain.

The hotel it isn’t a luxury hotel everything it is old but for the money it is a perfect hotel it is near the Five season Hotel . It is easy to get the subway walking distance , and even though the people don’t speak English at the lobby they have traslaiters in their phone so you will be able to comunocate . I recommended the Hotel

Stylish hotel in quiet, convenient location”
This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in many months. The location is convenient, but just far enough from the main road to avoid road noise. The entire hotel is very chic. My windowless room had a very large light on the wall about the size of a small window that could be turned on, presumably to simulate the effect of light from a window. The free wireless and wired internet was very fast. There were two internet cables in two locations. The room was very cleverly designed and I took photos of the shower to replicate the floor when I remodel at home (the center was raised to facilitate drainage along the sides. I'd definitely stay here again!

the location is great (difficult to find the hotel though). it is a 5 min walk from hard rock cafe and the lufthansa center and subway. within the city and yet near the airport... the bed is one of the best you can find in beijing. i usually only crash in this place overnight and it is great for that purpose particularly the rooms without window...

Beijing stopover”
Use this Hotel always as a stopover in Beijing. Close to the Metro, and even better now that the Metro is linked to the South Railway Station. Only 1 stop down frm the airport expressway. Hotal is clean, modern and rooms are good. Only drawabck is the slightly cheaper rooms that do not have a window. The rooms are great, but I found no window confusing - you cannot tell instinctively if its night or day - can be a problem if you need to get upmearly to catch a flight. Breakfats is a bit strange, but is OK by Chinese standards - I stay here ofetn when I pass through beijing.

stayed at fx twice and i must say it is still value for money!! the rooms are of a good size and with free wifi and lan, free bottled mineral water, tea and apples to keep you properly hydrated in the dry beijing weather. pleasant staff and adequate amenities too. good for those who need to work in the room for most of the time too.

Very comfortable room (Normal King) and not expansive for the value! (Agoda prices with discounts are lower than hotel) ,located not far from subway line10,helpful staff speaking english. To find the place, go to LiangMaQiao station (Line 10) and go to the river just on south, you'll see the FX sign on east side. Didn't try food there.

Funky Business Hotel Which Tries Harder”
This hotel is a common low-cost business hotel which is found in major Chinese cities. They are cheap and cheerful. But this hotel has just a little something extra. It has a very funky design for both the hotel and the rooms. The front desk staff was very helpful. I asked how to pronounce Maizidian properly and it worked well when directing taxis to the hotel (which isn't that hard for them to find). The location is very good if you want to sample the nightlife in Chaoyang. The nightclubs are a short cab ride and can even be walked to, in a pinch (in a city whose grande scale is not generally for walking). The hotel is on the Liangma canal; a short walk west along it and over the East 3rd Ring road (careful crossing it) and there's some cool bars on the other side of this road (including the cool, and somewhat gay, Boat Bar). The smell from the drains (a common problem in such hotels) is noticeable as soon as you walk through the door but then disappears within a minute as your mind somehow eliminates it. I thought it would be an issue but it was not. Still: why can't these things be fixed. I had a no-window room. It was OK for me because I was not working on overcoming jetlag. If you are, I would suggest getting one with a window. The little spa was well done. [note: Google's satellite map is puting this hotel too far east by about 600 meters. Look for the round rooftop right on the canal attached to a rectangular building.] I did not use the dining facilities. Overall, I think this chain really tries hard to make itself a cut above this kind of budget hotel.

Great Hotel”
We booked this hotel since it had good ratings and had a good price. It took a while to find it on our first day but after we found it and figured out exactly where it was on the map it was easy to get back to. Its near a lot of great restaurants and there is an Irish pub a 2 minute walk away. The rooms were clean and everything was new. The TV had hookups for your ipod and DVD player already set up. We were a little surprised to find out that the shower is glass and can be viewed from the entire hotel room. Not for shy couples. Breakfast was mostly Asian, being a vegetarian I ate toasts and melon which was enough to start the day. The coffee was superb though. Would stay here again and recommend it. We stayed in a room with a window and liked the river view.

Good Value Beijing Hotel”
Another review for this Hotel - Budget travellers should be well pleased - Location is a bit odd at first, and does confuse some taxi drivers ( not difficult ) - As soonas you get your bearings - find the Metroine and the local bars/ food places, its fine. Not located in main tourist areabut Beijing is so big, that you will find it difficult to pick just one area. I prefer to stay here and travel about to the places I want to see. Ver handy for the Metro, and only one stop to the airport express.
