1. Check in: auf der Buchungsseite steht 24 Std. Rezeption. Wir kamen von Nadi morgens gegen 1:30 Uhr an: es gibt keine Rezeption! Ein Nachbar hat dann gegen 2:30 Uhr eine Hausangestellte angerufen, die nach ca.30 min kam und uns aufgeschlossen hatte. 2. Unterkunft mit unzähligen Mitbewhnern: Raupen an Wänden und auf dem Boden. 3. Lage: keine Supermärkte oder Restaurants fußläufig zu erreichen. 4. Planänderung: Vor Ort haben wir erfahren, dass eine Fähre nach Vavu'u und Ha'apai jeweils nur 1 x die Woche fährt. Deshalb mussten wir nach einer Übernachtung abbrechen. Von der Hausangestellten ist uns gesagt worden, dass wir die die 2 fehlenden Nächte nach unserer Rückkehr nutzen können....dem war nicht so: Der Eigner hatte das abgelehnt und auch die anteiligen Übernachtungskosten nicht erstattet! 5. Preis-Leistung: sehr schlecht. Es gibt in Nuku'alofa sehr viele günstigere und zentralere Unterkünfte 6. Personal: sehr hilfreich, nett und freundlich!

“Great value for a big group ”
We were 5 friends travelling together and was looking for basic layover accommodation whilst waiting to transfer to our flights the next day. We had excellent communication with the owners of the lodge prior to arriving. Nina came to pick us up at the airport and organised everything we needed without a hitch, including transfers, a local drive-around tour and lunch. All very friendly and helpful. One of our friends accidentally left her Kindle behind and we organised to get it back with no problems at all on our return to the island. The accommodation itself is a bunch of houses in a typical Tongan suburb - which was pretty cool! No busy roads or shops anywhere near us, so just like being at a family home. There are roosters and dogs barking through the night for those who are light sleepers. The rooms were well kept and clean. A couple of cobwebs in the wardrobe (suspect no one really uses it!) but otherwise clean and tidy. Bedding and towels were provided and clean. The bathroom was functional and as clean as possible, and had hot water that was lukewarm with okay pressure, so fine for a shower. The grout was mouldy but otherwise everything else was as clean as it possibly could be. Nina came in the morning and cooked for us in our kitchen a huge breakfast of eggs, toast and fruit! We also were given a snack basket and complimentary bottles of water. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, excellent service, and definitely value for money. Excellent for big group of travellers staying together. Will need to organise transport for getting around as nothing will be within walking distance.
