Check-in Experience: The person at reception during check-in was polite and professional. Unfortunately, he did not introduce himself, so I am unable to mention him by name. Shortly after check-in, another staff member offered me a welcome drink (apple juice). I chose to take it with me to my room. While I was following him, he suddenly went into the kitchen area. I waited nearby, standing close to the opposite wall. Unexpectedly, he came out quickly, bumped into me, and spilled the juice all over my dress, slippers, and phone. What surprised me most was his reaction — instead of apologizing, he took the glass from my hand, rolled his eyes, and made a disappointed sound before asking me to follow him again. This behavior felt quite unprofessional. Room Facilities: I noticed that the room had a smart TV, but it was not set up for services like Netflix or Apple TV. I asked the receptionist for help, and although he tried, he informed me that the internet couldn’t be connected. It was disappointing not to be able to use one of the main features advertised. Late Checkout Experience: I requested a late checkout, which I understand wasn’t possible due to availability — that’s completely fine. However, at 11:00 AM, a staff member asked me when I’d be checking out, to which I replied 12:00 PM. Then again, at 11:50 AM, I received a reminder call about the checkout time. This felt a bit excessive and made me feel rushed despite checking out within the allowed time. Luggage Assistance: After checking out, I asked for help bringing my luggage downstairs. I had a small cabin-sized suitcase and a lightweight cardboard box (about 2 kg). For some reason, the staff member inserted his hand between the tape and the box to lift it, which caused the box to tear. When I pointed it out, he responded by placing it on the ground and saying, “How else am I supposed to carry it?” If I had known he wasn’t comfortable handling it properly, I would have carried it myself. Overall Impression: I booked my stay through Agoda and paid the full listed price. However, the overall attitude from some staff members made me feel as though I was an inconvenience rather than a valued guest. I completely understand that not everyone may be highly trained in customer service, but basic politeness and courtesy should be standard.
