Recommended hotel for a vacation even though it has a slightly old impression from the building and its interior, the rooms are clean and cool, the staff is quite responsive, and the breakfast is on par with other hotels in its class. I chose staying here because my husband had a surgery at Siloam hospital which is just across the street. The room although is old but it is quite clean, especially the bathroom. The hotel is also close to a mall if you need to purchase something quickly. The breakfast quite okay, I came around 8 o'clock but the dishes are still complete. The most important thing is the staffs... Excellent

Staycation with family here. It's kind of an old hotel, but it's clean and spacious. Their rooms also have a bathtub, which is rare these days (usually available in suite rooms). We loved the swimming pool; it's clean and big, in an open space with a green park (with a peacock 🦚 in a cage, whose feathers are almost gone). I was booking for a non-smoking room. Upon the check in, they gave me a non-smoking room, but as I enter the room, it was clearly a smoking room, from its smell. I requested to change the room, the staff said they need to check that other available non-smoking room, and confirm by 15 minutes. However, it took around 1 hour for us to finally get the confirmation that we can move to other room. While we were waiting in the smoky-smelly room. Both the room (the smelly one and the new one) was not clean. It was actually disappointing as I was expecting a 4/5 stars hotel standard as it was mentioned. Well, I hope the hotel management really pays attention to this. The cleanliness is very important for a hotel, so the guest will enjoy the stay, especially the smoking rules.

“there's a lot I wanna say..”
Outdoor parking space available, but not in a great condition, still acceptable though. Just be careful of leaves, twigs, sticks and branches fall onto ur car during windy n rainy days. At night it gets really dark to park. Lobby looks alright BUT some times I can smell cigarette smoke inside the lobby, thay one time I has to wait for my car outside. Note that the lobby has no sofa to sit on while waiting. Lift is old, has old smell, small, and the door closes quickly. I do not mind that. Room access card has no sign which side whatever., and it has to be updated daily at the reception desk (with no info on it when checking in). Room door hard to close, room overally smells old and of course, as the hotel, outdated. The furnitures look just like my great grandma's things. The sheet smells alright. They gave 4 pillows, 2 soft pillows and 2 harder ones. Springbed is really bouncy I hardly sleep on the first night. TV was not clear, fridge is old, telephone is old, but it all works. AC was alright. The wardrobe has light, but one of them door couldn't close unless I press it with my body,, so no choice but to leave the light on during the whole stay. There is an iron stamp on the carpet. Carpet feels not really clean and really thin, kinda like office carpet. The lamps were working, but I feel that its not enough for the room. Overall room ambience was dark, has mushy smells, and really outdated. They provide 2 600ml bottles of VIT mineral water, Lipton tea, Nescafe instant coffee, and some sugar sticks. There's couple of room slippers, safe deposit box, laundry basket, and hangers thay we can use inside the wardrobe. The bathroom has a bathtub with working cold and hot water taps. The shower is the old type unmoveable shower head, I did not try it. The wastafel mixer tap was really really hard to close.. Toilet is the old type too... They stated that the hotel is environmental friendly hotel, but they provide facial tissue instead of hand or face towel. They only provides 2 bath towels and a bath mat. There were a leak under the wastafel that makes the bathroom floor wet at all times. At first time using the toilet, I notice that the toilet roll were not a new roll (which is fine if they were not soiled) that has been wet before because it was crumpled and stick together. As for the facility, I saw that the swimming pool is quite decent. It must be really good back then. There's a piano in the lobby, and bicycles at the outside of the lobby. I did not booked the breakfast as I do not eat breakfast most days so I do not know how the food taste. The boy reception and 1 of the security I do not like. When it was raining and clearly visible that my guests, my child, and I were waiting for our car, there are 2 hotel cars stop at the front of the lobby waiting God knows what, and they do nothing. When I ask the drivers whether they can move do that my car can come in and we can get in without getting wet, the boy reception and the security only smile. I got the feel that he was rude since the check in time. On the other hand, there is another security who is friendly and can even entertain my child. Checkout was hassle free. The lady reception did well at her job. Location wise, this hotel is perfect. It is just beside Siloam Hospital, short walking distance to Papaya supermarket, and is at the busy Thamrin Road. Lotsa foods available around all within walking distance. Waterbom waterpark and Mu Gung Hwa K-market are nearby too. Wonder why is it given 5 stars. Overall I think the hotel is not properly managed. I will want to come back if they actually show some improvement.. but I doubt it.
