"I had a very pleasant stay at the Wild Orchid. It is definitely the best hotel on Baloy Beach. I stayed in one of the beach front rooms. It was large and comfortable. Next time I might consider staying in one of the pool front rooms because I really like the large hotel swimming pool. Either way, the Wild Orchid is the only hotel I will stay at when I visit Subic Bay (Baloy Beach). Captain Ron's, the hotel Beach Front restaurant served outstanding BBQ'd Tuna steaks and next door, the Blue Rock Restaurant also served amazing BBQ'd Tuna steaks and other fresh seafood. I alternated between the two restaurants every night for dinner. "

"I usually stay at Harley's due to room, staff and food, but tried PUB HOTEL and wow; I will stay here again when coming to Subic. The room here is unbeatable for the price; so large, nice furniture, fridge, huge closet space. TV, nice shower and great furniture. I'm not staying in expensive places and this place was probably the best hotel I stayed in on my trip. Room can be cleaned every day if you want but it is a great facility and restaurant has high end food, including Mahi Mahi cooked perfectly with rice. It is NOT NOISY even though it is at end of Barretto street, which has so many bars. Only setback was no pool, but in the end, this place is a class higher than most places in Barretto, and so the pool did not matter; just go to the beach which is only a 1km walk away. Great place and staff is young but friendly. "

"We stayed on April 21-22, 2019. Just like the other reviews, rooms here are pricey. But I got ours with a discount and we are grateful because our poolside room was upgraded to beachside bungalow for free! Our room just lacks the hair dryer. Water also in the shower is really low. I'm quite disappointed in the beach because there were floating baby diapers and plastics. We told the staff about it. He picked up the trash and said it's because of the nearby residents's trash that are washed ashore. The following day, it's already high tide, beach is cleaner and nicer. My husband and son took their free kayaking. Free breakfast buffet tasted good and of variety. The staff were all nice and accommodating. I lost count of the number of pools here. Best was, we almost have the resort by ourselves because it was already Easter Sunday and Monday. Overall, the resort is very nice! 8-hectares of fun in the sun! "

"The room i booked was a little bit dated and a little small for just myself, however it did the job. Good bed, good aircon, clean and tidy. I would book an upstairs sea view delux next time. The hotel is amazing though, in baloy beach about fifteen minutes walk to the town. As you walk out of your room you are on the beach, great for an rarly morning swim. The hotel restaurant is great, good food and great service. Laundry is good and quick. The hotel is popular and gets a little noisy, if you are an early sleeper. Theband usualy ends about 10pm, but people are enjoying the restaurant later than that. They have a small pool in the hotel complex, but you have the beach so its not really needed. The staff are always available to help you, cheerful and friendly. I have stayed in a few hotels, but ifyou are a single traveller on a budget or just enjoy the beach relaxed life this is a great place to stay. Will definitely stay here again. "

"I was disappointed when I reached the place - it was as if there no discount.  Staff very friendly and helpful all throughout our stay. I always ask for recommendations especially when dining and I'm happy the staff are not afraid to provide their personal opinions.  We booked beach front rooms - I got room beside the stairs and only one room beside us so our "veranda" doesnt seem like a hallway. The room is spacious - plenty of room to scatter your luggage around. Bed is huge. Shower area is spacious as well. I also appreciate the black-out curtains. Plenty of towels as well and refreshed everyday. Weird though that there was only one small bottle of shampoo and lotion.  I usually dont care much about hotel restaurants but we settled with dinner here because we were already tired from the long drive. I was surprised when the waitress served me a gourmet meal. A must try: pan-grilled tanigue parcel - comes with mashed potato, pesto sauce, topped with prawns. Good thing with this hotel is that you both have the beach and a pool. Beach isnt that great in Subic - but at least you can hang out by the sun bed by the sand. Great for picture taking as well. The resort has a pool at the third floor which comes with several sunbeds and a bar. Since the beach is nothing spectacular, most people hang around here - so dont choose a poolside room.  Parking is bad; only a few slots at the front. You'll be very lucky to get one. Overall, I'm glad I chose this resort. I dont think I could've found a better one. While it's not perfect, it fits my tastes right in terms of comfort, location, amenities, room size, food, budget and friendliness of staff."

"I've decided to look for a quick getaway with my boyfriend to take a break from the city and to celebrate his birthday. We rode a Victory Liner bus bound to Iba and this bus passes by Barretto beach where this is located so no need for us to ride another jeepney from Olongapo city. Pros: *The staff were soooooo cheerful, friendly and assisting! I tell you that they are so exceptional. I even asked them a favor buying a cake for our dinner (to surprise my man a bit) since they don't have cakes on their menu and they assisted me very well! They even delivered it during our dinner with the whole night staff and sang happy birthday for him. I really appreciate this a lot ❤️ *The room we stayed in was huge and I love that it has a balcony with a FAN :) *Serving of food is VERY HUGE. So I suggest if there is two of you sharing, just order 1 rice and viand for a start to lessen waste of food! Then just order again if you still want more. *Place is quiet since we went there during the weekdays. Cons: *We had a problem with our AC wherein we can't control the temp or even turn it off. We already escalated it to them however maintenance peeps were not available. It's a bit of a pro and con however the room was very chilly during our stay. *There were lots of mosquitoes in our room. Probably due to weather? We decided not to raise this anymore because we don't want them to spray a repellant during our stay since it might become more uncomfy. *Their beach is not ok for swimming. It's more for diving activities or jetski riding. So if you are like us, you might just enjoy the view with a drink and music. (Bit of a pro&con as well) Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of food and the staff. Not so bad for a stay in Olongapo. Thank you much for your great service! ❤️"

"Treasure Island has the best of both worlds. They have the largest pool in Baloy and located right on the beach. They have new ownership and whole hotel recently renovated. All new. There are other off beach hotels for less money, but from what I have seen there, you get what you pay for. We have stayed at Treasure Island many times and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Subic. A really good place to chill and relax. "
