On the positive side, we arrived in a small hostel with a very welcoming owner, super clean and nicely designed rooms, and equipped with a temperature conditioner to get the room warm (given it was quite cold in Beijin). Just make sure you get your breakfast early or book the night before. It finished quickly even though we booked for a late breakfast (9.30am). Staying at the Beijing Badaling Great Wall Cao Courtyard Hostel helped us get really quickly to the Great wall in the morning and go Back to Beijing by mid-day for other touristic activities. I strongly recommend this location to anyone going to the Badaling Great Wall in China!
