Hotels near Consulate General of USA

Very friendly staff, great value for the money. Situated right on historical Shamian island, where the European warehouses and consulates were located. Within walking distance (5 min) to the underground metro station Huangsha, from which you can easily access the main sights of this very interesting city. The only downside was that majority of Shamian Island's buildings were under renovation at the time so we didn't get to see the island in its full glory.

Very satisfy for the stay, stayed for 3 nights. Cleanliness - 10/10 Staff - 9/10 (minus 1 mark due to counter staff, the cleaner staff are very helpful and nice, efficient when u requested for room cleaning service) Location - 10/10 , very near to the clothing wholesale area and walking distance to subway too Facilities - 2/10 : -no toilet at lobby...can't even use a toilet after checkout earlier lol. Don't expect restaurant or swimming pool thingy, they only have 1 lift for 8 floors. Value for money - 8/10 , worth for overall. for a comfortable and clean stay yes. ** Do book the most luxury room for better stay (it didn't really cost higher than the high class room), if u book the high class room oni, don't expect quiet stay. Most of the clothing dealers book high class or standard room, therefore u might always heard those ppl talked loud. We book luxury room and we have the highest 8th floor, it is quiet and comfortable, didn't meet any problems complained by the other reviewers.

Generally not bad. Room with timber floor (looks like quite new), no cigarette smell, except the corridor which the carpet flooring is a bit old with little smell but is ok when the corridor air con is on. Looks like the corridor wall painting work was last done several years ago.The hot & cold water supply and room air condition worked well. Hair drier, tooth brush and paste were provided but no safe box and fridge (after all is rated two star) . Two bottles of drinking water provided per day. Bed is not very hard (just like my one at home) but pillow is too soft but they were willing to provide additional if you request. There was complaint by others that it was difficult to get taxi from the hotel to airport and the hotel staff were not willing to render any help to him. At first, I was a bit worry about this because my flight to Singapore is at 8.40am. I was told by the hotel staff not to worry about this,they were more than willing to render help if I informed them a day before my flight. Taxi arrived at the hotel 15 minutes before the appointed time of 5.00am, fare paid was by meter, no hacking. Hotel location is great, many celebrity food outlets just a walking distance away. MRT station is about 10 minutes away. Hotel staffs were helpful and friendly. Room keeping service was good and worth mentioning here. Nothing unpleasant during my stay there for eight days. I will definitely recommend his hotel if you just need a good rest after a day touring, if you are looking for something more than this and willing to pay much more, Holiday Inn at Shifu is just nearby, otherwise this hotel is a good choice.

The location of the hotel is very good, within walking distance to Shangxia Jiu Rd and Changsou MRT station. It is located at 7 storey of Hua Lin Guo Ji C Guan. We arrived at about 2 am and the reception counter is 24 hours. The breakfast voucher cost 38 CNY per person which I dont recommend but if its already included in the booking then its ok to have breakfast there. Be warned, if you cannot sleep on hard bed, please do not stay here, I got used to the bed after the first night.

We always enjoy our stay here. We particularly appreciate the quiet serenity of the Shamian area and consider it a welcome respite from the bustle of Guangzhou. The YueHai offers a free shuttle service to and from the Canton Fair. The bus is very comfortable and the staff is amiable. We consider Shamian to be Guangzhou's best kept secret. To tell the truth, I even don't feel like posting this review because I like to maintain the secret, but that wouldn't be fair to the great staff at this location who deserve to be publicly commended.

Price is reasonable although there are others in the area that are cheaper. Location is fantastic and is very convenient to get food or shop. However the mtr station is quite a distance away. Requested for twin bed and non-smoking room when booking. But they gave a double bed room. Managed to change to a twin bed room but the cigarette smell in the room is strong and no window for ventilation. Good thing they have a air purifier which makes it bearable. Room is generally clean and in good condition with everything a hotel is expected to provide. Overall a satisfied stay.

Booked Deluxe King Bed on Agoda, for 8 nights. Prepaid for entire stay online. We arrived late at night (12MN), showed voucher printout, no problem. There’s an elevator so it wasn’t difficult to bring our bags up to our 5th floor room ourselves. The room strongly smelled of smoke. But once aircon is turned on, the smell will kind of go away. There was a king bed as promised but it was hard, as most beds are in China, you can feel the springs on your back. Room was a bit dark but had good enough lighting. Aircon. TV (purely local Chinese channels). Electric water kettle. Water dispenser on every floor. Phone. Free internet via LAN cable, no WiFi. No in-room refrigerator & safe. Bathroom a bit small, but clean. Shower right beside the toilet with no shower curtain so it gets quite wet everywhere. Central water heater provides hot water for both sink & shower. High water pressure was a good thing. Towels & toiletries provided: soap, shampoo, shower cap, toothbrush & toothpaste, & comb. A/C outlet available. We had a bit of a problem with the toilet getting clogged & they provided us with a plunger to clear out the clog ourselves (LOL). Room & bathroom were cleaned everyday, no fail. Towels & toiletries replenished daily as well. Unfortunately, there’s a railway track located right next to the hotel. So be ready to hear and feel train noises & vibration, even at night and very early in the morning. You literally are rattled awake. Light sleepers, be warned. 10 minute walk to MTR, XiCun (西村) station. Walking distance to restaurants (including KFC & McDonalds if you want fast food), Trust Mart (supermarket), convenience stores (7-11 located inside the XiCun station), street market (selling fruits, vegetables, food), tea shops, liang kuai/2RMB shops (equivalent to a Dollar Store), hospital & a police station. For a room w/ a large bed, high-pressure hot shower, good working aircon, TV, free internet, & accessible location, this hotel offers great value.
