This review is similar to one I just did. I originally booked the room for only 2 days, but after the first I liked it so I booked for 4 more nights. When I checked back in I was upgraded to the Executive Floor (apparently they don't have many Queen or King sized beds elsewhere). Actually, the upgrade room itself was not much better than the regular room (except the bathroom, which was much nicer). If I didn't need/want the executive floor service(s), I might not pay extra for that room. The rest of my review is as before. I recommend this hotel for a business traveler that doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg for 5-star service, but instead needs a good reliable safe central hotel. Very centralized in the east-center of Beijing near main business areas, but also very close to restaurants, shopping (sanlitun area 30 minute walk), and many other locations. Several times I had help from the Concierge and front desk and they had some of the best English I've found in Beijing. Also very helpful and they are quick to print out a map w English and Chinese addresses. The subway stop is literally right in front of the lobby entrance. Its 20 minutes by taxi in regular traffic to most of the eastern business district(s). I asked for a large bed but was given two singles but they tried to find a room for me. Most people and taxi drivers know the hotel, its easy to find and it right on a main ring road and intersection. Hmmm... I think my ratings below are better this time than my previous review...

This hotel is the best designed hotel I’ve been to. Not only aesthetically but also ergonomically. Their packaging for bathroom amenities was a very pleasant surprise. We loved the quirkiness they inject into their designing. The breakfast is also something to look forward to. ( Opt for the east menu) The staffs were very responsive and friendly. Yes, pricing is on the higher end and location might not be the most centralized but I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Before reaching Beijing I fully uploaded all the apps like Didi..Chinese Uber and other apps but the problem I faced is how to use them. After dealing and talking with so many people in reception finally I found the right person Potter who went out of his ways to make sure all my apps are working on my both cell phones Iphone 7 and Moto 4. After Potter fix my apps problems I was visiting places in Beijing like locals without knowing Chinese. It was an awesome experience visiting Beijing. Kuntai needs improvement in there housekeeping services like our room carpet has stains. Location is great. Everything is close like 5 minutes walking distance Walmart, McDonald's, Pizza Hut and a big Uptown Mall with a great Thai food restaurant. Being 5 star hotel, Kuntai needs a lots of improvement. Just because of Potter and couple other person in Concierge department I would be recommending this hotel and don't mind coming back and staying in Kuntai

10 min drive to Sanlitun, embassies and all the fun stuff you are in Beijing for. Spacious handy rooms for a decent price. Breakfast half buffet half a la carte for $15 is a bargain and was very fresh and delicious. The bar and patio are very nice but not enough staff, so we had to wait for 40+ minutes for our drinks and it closes at midnight, so no late parties here. Didn’t check the gym but it exists. Cool boutique hotel, great for families.

Hotel Eclat Beijing is a wonderful option for anyone living in Beijing or traveling to Beijing. It is located in a shopping mall which makes it all the best as you just walk through the lobby and then you can enjoy restaurants and great stores around you. The facilities are wonderful, especially the massage chair in your room. The staff were friendly and helpful, some staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly but we felt during our booking in that they could have offered a welcome drink as stated in the booking, which they didn't. All in all, it was still a 5-star experience!

The rooms are very comfortable, with large beds and big TV screens (supplying even free movies). The hotel hosts mostly Russian customers, so the staff speaks better Russian than English. There is a small Russian grocery at the corner, with fresh fruits and a large choice of snacks and beverages.The staff is not particularly friendy but manages to serve non Russian-speaking customers. The surroundings of the hotel are not very nice , but the location is central, and there is only 15-20 walk to the nearest metro station.

We stay at this hotel frequently, almost every time visiting Beijing (aprx once a month). As our business is close to Ritan park, this hotel is the best one to stay in. It's new, it's clean, even smells very fresh everywhere. Staff is perfectly helpful. Even for our partners who doesn't stay at the hotel, they're always ready to catch a cab for you, order reservation in restaurant or help with any other request. Rooms are great as well, you'll never regret if book a bit more expensive deluxe or business or family room - differs pretty much and feels a lot luxurious!

i spent in the ritan international about 2 weeks. at all it is a very nice new hotel. positiv: - it is a new hotel, so the most things there are stil new. - when you speak english than the service is very good. than they are trying there best. - the place of the hotel was very central (for us). but i thing it is very central as well for the other people. it is just 1 - 2 metrostation away from the mao square. and you are very near every embassy. - there is a gym and swimmingpool. - there are very many different restaurants and spas in the near.

The Holiday Inn Express Beijing Dongzhimen is the best hotel option for you while in the Embassy area. It is a great location with lots of restaurants around, a convenience store, and very walkable pedestrian lanes. The check in and check out was quick with friendly and English-speaking front desk staff/. The room is clean, the bed and pillows are super comfortable and the hot shower was great! They have wifi which works well. The free breakfast was okay. Overall, a really great hotel for you to try.

check-in for 4 nights. Friendly staff and nice ambiance throughout. Got into the room spotted some human hairs (looks like from the private parts) on the duvet and some dust too. Called the reception, duty manager came and apologetic on the mess. The room got freshen up within 30mins. Good breakfast, love the gym, and the attentiveness from the staff ( especially Justin at the front of the hotel entrance. good advise every time I acquired a taxi). Usually, I will hang out my clothes on the day I moved in. On my third night, the housekeeping left a note realized I ran out of hangers and left 6 hangers Although it is a bit late but better than nothing. (I didn't ask for any hanger, just thought that it is ok). Overall, there is a time where I think the service was impeccable, but also some silly mistakes like the hair and dust situation and added an outgoing call on the bill when I didn't make any call at all. Happy to return when I next in Beijing. Hope it will be hassle-free.

Enjoyed the great hospitality and the beauty of this hotel. However, don't like the controlled access of the properties where guard will lock up the gate and require verification of identify upon access (though a quick and polite one). Location is also not near any subway station, a good 2km walk to the nearest Dongzhimen station. On the other hand, I must compliment the good service of the staff.

Discovered a pearl - Asia Hotel is great - very accommodating to a Westerner. Real joy to stay there, and it was 3C at night this week and loved the down comforter in the room. I even try to see where that was made as I liked it so much. Was on an overnight trip to the Embassy area, so had a room service deliver food, good quality - good internet connection. Breakfast was also a surprise catering to both Asian, Chinese and Western palates. I had a healthy breakfast and coffee that left a great feeling when i checked out. Highly to recommend.

my girlfriend and i have been living in japan for many years are so are used to paying high prices for rooms no bigger than an average western bathroom so when we checked into taiyue suites we weren't sure what to expect. well we can say that our room was quite spacious (didn't see the apartment side of the hotel) and came with a large fridge, a microwave, tv (cnn, hbo, cctv), a nice couch, stove (no cooking utensils or plates but that can be arranged so we were told), and a king sized bed that we could never fit into our arpartment in tokyo. the staff were very friendly and the professionalism of the day supervisor (tomy?) would fit into any 5 star hotel in the world. there is free internet downstairs, a large bar ('bar mania', very popular with the local foriegn crowd), a more quiter music lounge with nightly live music (easy listening), and a malaysian restaurant. there is an atm but it doesn't take the 4plus/cirrus cards (our only negative experience with the hotel). the buffet breakfast was pretty good, nice selection of food.

i am very satisfied with the hotel. I must say the service of the hotel is over five star, even some five-star hotels cannot compete with it. Smiling staff, considarate room service, check-out at 3 pm...everything is perfect. I was surprised that when I came back to the room after my dinner, the bathrobe has been prepared in the bathroom and the slippers were put right beside the bed. What should be mentioned is, all the products are high quality. The only little defect is that the lobby is a bit old, but it is nice, and well organized.

Very far (1km) from the nearest subway station. Air Conditioner makes hell of a noise, bathroom is quite run down although serviceable. Antique safe deposit box design requires a big padlock and key from the front desk. Hard to get a cab in the evening. Slow and antiquated elevators. The Agoda star rating is over-rated, should deduct 1-star based on the hardware.

The location of the hotel is the best thing about it. It is a reasonable walk from the Dongzhimen subway station. This makes it very convenient to the airport. The Dongzhimen subway station is also very convenient for linking up to the rest of the Beijing subway line. There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance and it is also a short and cheap cab ride from Sanlitun. The hotel itself was fine, not super nice, but it was cheap enough. Overall I would stay again, particularly for short trips.

I arrived late and found that my room had been double booked. Not a problem though as they upgraded me for free. The staff were helpful in answering my questions and at giving basic directions. They also had quite a good level of english. The room itself was clean and well furnished. The beds were quite firm but probably softer than a lot of others in china. PS. I got this hotel at a discount price on agoda which is why the value for money rating is 5/5. Also the rating for the food is only 3/5 as I did not eat at the hotel, although the restaurant menus looked very nice.

The opposite house was our last hotel after 2 weeks travelling in China. It is very friendly, informal, and modern hotel and we enjoyed it immensely. The location is also great: the area is safe, there is a night food street nearby and the choice of bars around the hotel is vast. Moreover, there are several underground stations located within 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the stuff is always happy to get you a taxi which makes sightseeing very easy. The staff is very attentive and not invasive (which is very difficult to achieve): our room was cleaned while we were at breakfast and our beds were prepared for the night while we were having a cigarette outside, but we had never seen the cleaning staff by our room! Overall, the stay was a great experience. The only issue that marred our stay was the dinner on our first night. Whereas the food was great (we had dinner at the new Chinese restaurant in the hotel) and the advice on food/wine and the time of delivery was impeccable, the waiters should pay more attention to the way they treat their female customers. I didn't like the fact that the my wine/water glass was refilled only if my husband's one was empty, and I was offended by the statement of the waitress that she has to check whether I have the credit rights for the room charges after I signed the bill for the dinner (the irony of the situation being that the hotel was booked on my name, but she didn't doubt my husband's right to sign the bill). However, this was a one off experience -- the waiters in the breakfast restaurant were superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel for relaxed and comfortable stay while exploring Beijing.

If you're on a budget trip then this hotel would be good enough. My room has an ac, room is spacious and the bed is big. You will get all the basic things you need in a hotel. Wifi is also OK. You get what you paid for kind of hotel nothing so extraordinary. Location is good because it us surrounded by food stalls and convenience store and it is very near to soho mall. If you wanna go clubbing it's also near the gongti bars. The staff are very helpful despite the language barrier they would try their best to assist you (they even helped me book a ticket through wechat). Staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are ok, not so fancy but looks just fine. I just have an issue with cleanliness.. Because i literally have to remind the hoisekeepers to replace towels and toiletries. If you dont ask for your room to be cleaned they will not clean it... And when they do clean the room they do not clean it completely. Rooms are nice but housekeeping service is really bad. To solve this issue i have to constantly call the housekeepers to clean the room everyday and instruct them to clean everything. They will do what you say just that i was hoping they should have the initiative no need for me to tell me to clean this clesn tgat please clean the room.

stratigic location (shopping malls, metro and airport express station). clean and well maintain premises, that include the room. basic facilities which live-up to its budget business hotel concept. unfortunetly, during my check-in there's a complication arise between the booking agreement between agoda and hotel management. somehow, the staff was accommodating by allowing me to check-in first while the sorting out the issues with agoda. kudos! to both party service staff for their prompt respond and solution.

I am picky. I am typically critical. And I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay at the Ascott Raffles City Beijing. We stayed during National Day week for 3 nights and loved every aspect of the hotel. Room was clean and spacious (we did opt for largest 1 bedroom); adjacent to a modern mall with great shopping and convenient grocery store; connected to the subway for fast, easy and economical travel throughout Beijing; very close to Sanlitun Bar District; across the street from the Airport Express - for example, I paid 200 RMB for a cab ride from the airport to the hotel (not knowing any better and it took an hour). The airport express was 25 RMB and it took about 25 mins. The staff all spoke perfectly acceptable English. The food was not only tasty but had nice presentation. Quick note to Agoda bookers: We received breakfast included for two by booking on Agoda whereas the hotel typically only provides one free breakfast when booked on their website. Long story, short....I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Beijing and am looking forward to staying at other Ascotts around the world, despite my Diamond status with Hilton.

the hotel is four stars renewed with great furniture & good technologies and clean rooms, price is reasonable, staff are friendly and like to help, located in a good area near by Forbidden City, Tiananmen, the hotel has a various activity like mini golf, billiard, sauna, massage, beuty salon, 10 resturants, overlooking to the beutiful river, it is 10 km. from the city center and like 20 km. to the airport, it has a huge no. of rooms which reach more than 400 rooms, it has a parking area, the reception is very nice, the musicians play a great background music in the reception, overall this hotel is perfect

I originally booked for 10 days stay, but had to checkout early because of last minute changes and the hotel manager was accommodating and made the process easy. The room was not huge and was rather cramped in walking space, but that's most likely due to the large king size bed. Not too discouraged by that since the rooms were kept clean, especially for the low budget traveler. Good for those one nighter business travelers. All in all, would definitely stay again!
