The Jianguo Qianmen Hotel is a great place to stay in Beijing. Try to get a room rate price that includes breakfast, which could well be the best value meal of the day. Rather than eat at the over-priced restaurant, try the small street corner restaurant that is some 5oo metres from the hotel on the same side of the road - turn left as you exit the foyer. Spend the mon...

For hotel stay, I always look for convenience of location. The location is great as close to Qianmen street, the famous Quanjude Peking duck, and also accessible to subway station (Qianmen). You can also choose to walk to Tiananmen if you want as its reachable. There are a lot of restaurants nearby thus its easy to check for dine choices. Just noted that there are only...

Very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Beautifully designed hotel with stylish roof top bar. Staff were friendly and all more than willing to help, arranged for us a private driver to visit the Great Wall. Thoroughly enjoyed use of the swimming pool and steam room and all amenities very clean. Superb breakfast with vast choice. Although hotel is in close proximity to Qianme...

For the price, the quality of the stay you get is simply the best or next to it. I have been staying at various hotels around Beijing ranging from 3 to 4 star hotels on business trips. This stay at Qianmen Courtyard Hotel is personal and it is absolutely value for money. Fantastic location, good service, cleanliness is alright unless you are a princess. For single tra...

We arrived almost at midnight, we checked into the room in less an 5 minutes. The staff was very friendly and even if they couldn't speak much english, they tried their best to help us. The bed was hard (I think all hotels in China are like this), the bathroom partition was a glass panel (you got to get used to that), there was good WiFi in the room. We only used the h...

The staff are really awesome, special thanks to Anita & Julie. I really appreciate their help and advise on the trips. They are truly good in providing services. You may buy/book the Great Wall tours from them directly as that's I found its affordable and no forced shopping's stop. English is difficult in China, however Anita is helpful on that. You may check with her ...

Well, some cab drivers didn't know where it is, so you need to tell them it's on teh street west of teh Temple of Heaven Park West Gate. Other than that, no worries about getting around. It's close enough to the attractions south of Tiananmen Square, so that's a bonus, if you take a cab there. Cabs in Beijing are cheap, anyway. The rooms were roomy by Express stand...

We booked 3 rooms; comfortable beds, toilet necessities provided (better to bring own). Clean linen everyday only if you put the tag. Only one room with clogged toilet bowl but plumber came to fix it right after we notify the receptionist. Drinking water can be bought at the mart nearby - cheaper. Communicate with staff in Chinese is better. Located near Qiaowan Exit A...

Firstly, don't let the name deceive. From my maps I thought the hotel was in fact close to Beijing South Station. It's not though. If you have baggage like I did it is quite a walk from South Station. Yongdingmenwai station is fairly close. Take South East exit C . You can then go through the beautiful south gate via the underpass, cross the mote and head right for a f...

This hotel was recently renovated so the rooms are clean and well designed. Renovation still ongoing in some parts of hotel between 8:30AM and 6:30PM for those afternoon sleepers. Some comments indicate hard beds (and they are) we mentioned this to the front desk and 10minutes later a nice foam pad was put on our bed. The price was great for the standard of hotel. It...

Overall good stay and the location is great. The hotel should enforce strict no smoking rule (at least for few floors designated as no smoking) as there's overwhelming smoke smell through the bathroom vent. Staff did kindly arrange for another room but guessing that the vent are interconnected, it helps only a little.

We stayed for 5 nights in a Suite Room in this strategically located hotel just beside the Hongqiao Pearl Market. It is near the Tiantan Dongmen Subway Station (just outside the hotel), Temple Of Heaven and a 20 mins walk to the Red Theatre Kung Fu Show. Plenty of food options around, KFC, McDonalds, Yoshinoya, SUBWAY, Dairy Queen, Starbucks and various restaurants. ...

Overall this hotel was great value for money in an interesting neighbourhood: the winding side-streets are an attraction in and of themselves. The Health Centre did a great massage. The food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, but there are also plenty of yummy options within the vacinity. The staff were very attentive. The cleaning staff seemed...
