Find hotels in Sanlitun Bar Street

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this hotel, having done so mainly because it was in the right area and right price range. From the moment of check-in I was delighted by how nice it turned out to be. Lovely staff with very friendly attitude, very nice looking lobby and restaurants, walking distance from San Li Tun and the Worker's Stadium and a subway station entrance 15 feet from the lobby doors. I also loved the gym and the fact that they had the good, old fashioned weight training equipment that's hard to find these days. Enough power sockets under the work desk and good wired Internet - my only request would be that they should provide wifi access in room. Also it was a bit embarrassing to walk to the swimming pool area in my bathrobe down a long corridor with lots of conference guests sitting around - there needs to be easier access to that area so that I can get to it easily from the elevators in that block.

Tried The Chao for the first time... great location (though weird entrance) in happening Sanlitun, really well appointed rooms with free mini bar (non-alchohol), good amenities (unexpected: a yoga mat in closet and condoms in addition to the usual toothbrush/shaving kit etc), well equipped 24 hour gym, great breakfast, excellent restaurant for lunch and dinner -- both chinese and western food superior -- and extremely bi-lingual staff. i'll be back.

10 min drive to Sanlitun, embassies and all the fun stuff you are in Beijing for. Spacious handy rooms for a decent price. Breakfast half buffet half a la carte for $15 is a bargain and was very fresh and delicious. The bar and patio are very nice but not enough staff, so we had to wait for 40+ minutes for our drinks and it closes at midnight, so no late parties here. Didn’t check the gym but it exists. Cool boutique hotel, great for families.

Hotel Eclat Beijing is a wonderful option for anyone living in Beijing or traveling to Beijing. It is located in a shopping mall which makes it all the best as you just walk through the lobby and then you can enjoy restaurants and great stores around you. The facilities are wonderful, especially the massage chair in your room. The staff were friendly and helpful, some staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly but we felt during our booking in that they could have offered a welcome drink as stated in the booking, which they didn't. All in all, it was still a 5-star experience!

We stay at this hotel frequently, almost every time visiting Beijing (aprx once a month). As our business is close to Ritan park, this hotel is the best one to stay in. It's new, it's clean, even smells very fresh everywhere. Staff is perfectly helpful. Even for our partners who doesn't stay at the hotel, they're always ready to catch a cab for you, order reservation in restaurant or help with any other request. Rooms are great as well, you'll never regret if book a bit more expensive deluxe or business or family room - differs pretty much and feels a lot luxurious!

It is located on a small street, away from city noise. Within 100m, you can find many western restaurants together with different categories of local restaurants. 15mn on foot, you arrive in Sanlitun. Between 8-10am on business days, hotel offers shuttle bus every 30mn to subway Dongzhimen and Dongsishitiao. But it takes only 20mn on foot to go there. The breakfast buffet does not offer a fantastic choice, but you have all the basic internal breakfast buffet choices. My son is severely allergic to peanut. The chef guarantees that in all sections except for bread/pastries section, they do not use any peanuts or peanut oil. Bread/pastries section he could not guarantee peanut trace free. My son never had any problem during 8 days breakfast there. In Beijing, it’s very difficult for us to find local restaurants who do not use peanut oil. We had to go to western restaurants most of the time. Hôtel room is quite small, but neat and clean. There is an empty mini fridge.

Enjoyed the great hospitality and the beauty of this hotel. However, don't like the controlled access of the properties where guard will lock up the gate and require verification of identify upon access (though a quick and polite one). Location is also not near any subway station, a good 2km walk to the nearest Dongzhimen station. On the other hand, I must compliment the good service of the staff.

i choose asia hotel once more, because of it´s location. it is in walking distance to my beijing office, and also in walking distance to san li tum bar street. what came in quite handy was the late check out option (3:00 pm) as my flight was departing in the evening. one con is the old tv set, i could not connect my movie box via hdmi. i believe in 2010, all 5 star hotels should be equipped with flat-screen tv's of reasonable size. i arrived a bit late, so i can not comment on the complimentary drinks and food on the executive floor. but from the past experience, the food (snacks) was quite good, whereas the drink selection is rather poor. cons - old tv set

It's not the top hotel of course but for the money I spent was well worthy it. The hotel is pretty old. But looks clean and organized. Huge space to run around. It's not as noisy as many other Chinese budget hotels where they have very thin walls and doors. They've also got some international channels but since the TV is an old-school, we could hardly hear what's playing on HBO. Liked the big window with garden view a lot. Quite rare to see in Beijing city center. Overall, a place I'd stay again as it's very convenient to go to Sanlitun bar street or walk to subway.

Every time I visit Beijing I always stay in this hotel. I know I can always rely on it for really nice rooms and a pleasant stay. The staff is really friendly and always willing to assist you. Great location with three subway lines (one to the airport), a mall across the street, a great food street down the road. It is out of the away from all of the touristy crowds yet still close enough to all of the tourist attractions. It is also a relatively cheap cab ride to the airport if you don't want to take the subway. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel wasn't my 1st choice but was in the general area, blocks are big in Beijing so a bit of a walk to Sanlitun bars. Took the breakfast option, which was fine ( but strangely would only give me 1 x fried egg though I could take as many boiled as I liked ) Business room did not have a safe which I found unusual. Taxi a bit difficult to get at 10am,, the Bellboy went down the street for one. Had a pleasant stay and wouldn't hesitate to use it again. Can Agoda try to list more rooms that inclue breakfast,,, the company pays for me so the extra cost not a problem, and in the cold months I'd rather eat in the hotel.

Very far (1km) from the nearest subway station. Air Conditioner makes hell of a noise, bathroom is quite run down although serviceable. Antique safe deposit box design requires a big padlock and key from the front desk. Hard to get a cab in the evening. Slow and antiquated elevators. The Agoda star rating is over-rated, should deduct 1-star based on the hardware.

The location is very convenient: Less than 10 min by foot to Dongzhimen, Sanlitun Beer Street and Workers' Stadium. Restaurants and convenience stores in the neighbourhood. The hotel itself runs a cafe/bar which has cake, snacks and simple dishes on its menue. The hotel's interior is nicely designed. Here and there, some of the laminate looks a little bit shopworn - but so what? It's clean; the staff is friendly; and in your room you have plenty of storage (two wardrobes and a luggage rack).

I arrived late and found that my room had been double booked. Not a problem though as they upgraded me for free. The staff were helpful in answering my questions and at giving basic directions. They also had quite a good level of english. The room itself was clean and well furnished. The beds were quite firm but probably softer than a lot of others in china. PS. I got this hotel at a discount price on agoda which is why the value for money rating is 5/5. Also the rating for the food is only 3/5 as I did not eat at the hotel, although the restaurant menus looked very nice.

stratigic location (shopping malls, metro and airport express station). clean and well maintain premises, that include the room. basic facilities which live-up to its budget business hotel concept. unfortunetly, during my check-in there's a complication arise between the booking agreement between agoda and hotel management. somehow, the staff was accommodating by allowing me to check-in first while the sorting out the issues with agoda. kudos! to both party service staff for their prompt respond and solution.

Excellent stay. I have stayed in all the Ascott, Capitaland properties in Beijing , Somerset, Ascott Beijing and Ascott raffles City. I was glad to be there again and found that the high standards have been maintained.Many staff members remembered me and greeted me.It is very close to San Li Tun, and it is a very enjoyable walk.Bus 117 is also very efficient for those in a hurry to reach downtown.

This place was all I wanted. I stayed here for 3 weeks over christmas and not once did I tire of it.The hotel room I stayed in was called Superior which is in fact the lowest option. However, it was superior! underfloor heating in the bathroom, massive bed, flat panel tv, all fixtures and fittings to a high standard. They even thought of the minor details such as free toothbrushes, condoms! sewing kit, shoe shine cloths, dressing gowns, slippers. It was all there. The staff could not be any more helpful either, they were always at hand to help and went out of their way on numerous occasions for me. The internet access in the rooms was advertised as approx £5 for an hour and £8 for the day but when I requested the code at reception, they gave to me completely free! The bar area was very relaxing also with a central area surrounded by water where musicians play non-intrusive background music using traditional instruments. I think you can tell I liked it :-) The location wasn't too bad either, as with all cities everything is spread out, but there was plenty near by including mini market and restaurants. A taxi was always at hand which could take you to the key points of interest for normally around £1-2. Underground is about a ten minute walk providing single journeys for 20p! Hope this helps

it is very close walking distance to sanlitun village and to sanlitun bar street, it is also close to chaoyang soho district. there is a metro station nearby. the room is small, though i had a great view from my window (8th floor). the iron and safe box are available at the reception. Internet connection is available in the room (high speed). in case you get sick, the chaoyang hospital is just opposite to ibis hotel.
