We had 4 nights at the White Swan and overall were very happy. It is on Shamian Island which is a little sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Guangzhou. There are restaurants and coffee shops scattered within walking distance. I recommend finding them as the prices in the hotel are a bit ridiculous. ($19AUD for a bowl of cereal, $11AUD for a cafe latte). The hotel i...

I spent a total of 8 nights there at the Guangdong Victory Hotel. Found the location to be pretty good. Fortunately, I was located in the West wing which made it easy for me to get in and out of Shamian Island by cab. The bridge crossing near the West wing of the hotel made it a convenient reference for a pick up location when I booked taxis via the local taxi booking...

Very satisfy for the stay, stayed for 3 nights. Cleanliness - 10/10 Staff - 9/10 (minus 1 mark due to counter staff, the cleaner staff are very helpful and nice, efficient when u requested for room cleaning service) Location - 10/10 , very near to the clothing wholesale area and walking distance to subway too Facilities - 2/10 : -no toilet at lobby...can't even use a t...

the location is near the Changsha Road metro. I choose the wrong road to get at the first day, passing a small market alley. But returning back to the metro I used the proper main road and it was near and convenient. the hotel is nice for the price, location was very nice right near the Shangxiajiu pedestrian walk. I even did a morning walk to Shamian island only 20 ...

Overall it was not a bad experience. Thumbs up to to all very helpful and friendly staffs. Pros: Very near to ShangXiaJiu Walking Street, ShaMian Island and ChangShouLu Metro Station. Very helpful staffs. Cons are: Room sound proof is not good. Can hear conversation from the room opposite very clearly. Informed by my friend that they can hear every single words out...

Located at serene Shamian district area. They upgraded my room to deluxe suite due to unavailability of my originally booked room. The staffs were helpful too. There is no subway station in Shamian island. You have to walk 400m to the nearest Culture Park station. Pleasant stay overall.

Price is reasonable although there are others in the area that are cheaper. Location is fantastic and is very convenient to get food or shop. However the mtr station is quite a distance away. Requested for twin bed and non-smoking room when booking. But they gave a double bed room. Managed to change to a twin bed room but the cigarette smell in the room is strong and n...

Booked Deluxe King Bed on Agoda, for 8 nights. Prepaid for entire stay online. We arrived late at night (12MN), showed voucher printout, no problem. There’s an elevator so it wasn’t difficult to bring our bags up to our 5th floor room ourselves. The room strongly smelled of smoke. But once aircon is turned on, the smell will kind of go away. There was a king bed as...

after booking/paying through internet, we ended up in a small window less room , my chinese girlfriend went down & placed a complaint. After paying additional - she came back with a new room card, the new room was more likely what we payed for but still having to pay up.....why?, the aircon in room did not work to well.......
