Hotels near Siji Minfu Restaurant Peking Roast Duck (Dengshikou)

- Walking distance to Dongsi subway (to the right from the hotel, less than 10mins walk). - To Wangfujing Shopping Street, the hotel is located at the end of the street but still within walking distance to the Shopping Street (less than 10mins walk as well - famous hotpot restaurant "Hai Di Lao" & peking duck restaurant "Quan Ju De" are along in the Shopping Street) - Only one mini convenient store along the roadside (to the left of the hotel) available. - Staffs are helpful & polite (some able to communicate in english) - Hotel room are big, but downside is it is quite old & dusty, had a hard time trying to figure the air-con, thank goodness windows can be opened to allow the cold air to ventilate the room as the air-con is blasting hot air from within but despite all this, still able to stay in. (I spent a week there) - There is a shuttle bus waiting area (to the right of the hotel) & ticket office for the Airport Shuttle (24 yuan per pax), the frequency is 1 hour. I didn't take the shuttle bus but took taxi from & to the airport & hotel, both trips costs me about 100 yuan each, which I think it's pretty alright if you are sharing with another 2 or 3 other people. (about 40 - 45 mins to the airport from hotel, but make sure to reach airport earlier as takes quite some time to go through customs.)

location is good. just 5-min walking distance from metro station. 15-min walking to other famous spots like tinanmen plaza and forbidden city. you can visit the famous beijing roast duck restaurant--liqian nearby. 7-8mins. room is big, bed is clean and comfortable. air-con, toilet and other stuff are working well. staff are helpful and friendly. just one demerit: i leave in the early morning and request the hotel to call a taxi for me, the bellboy still not come to work because it is 5:15am. the staff then just said i can get any one of the taxi parked at the hotel front door. before i get on the taxi, i have asked the driver if it is counted by meter. he showed me and said "yes yes". however, when i arrived at the airport, he "printed" a receipt to me which costs rmb178.00, (the actual cost should be rmb120, the distance from the hotel is just 40km). the date of the receipt is wrong (my date is 8 jul, and the receipt was 30 jun) and so was the distance = 58km. finally, the taxi driver was so scared, and agreed to deal at rmb100 and left like a rocket. i was extremely disappointed with the hotel staff who told me to trust the taxi driver. beijing, the capital of china, is still an uncivilized city. overall, hotel is good to stay.

first time in beijing and i booked this hotel for its brand and basing on the reviews. i was not disappointed. the room i got was somewhat old ( i think im at the old wing ) but overall i was very comfortable and the room has complete amenities. the tour desk was very helpful for helping me book a superb tour. the chinese restaurant serves great dishes but i was expecting a better tasting peking duck than what they serve. there is a convenience store around 50 meters away. all in all i am satisfied.

Perfect stayed during the last 4 days. Hotel staff were helpful. Short walk to Wang Fu Jing Walking Street(Less than 2 mins). Along the street, happen to pass by "APM Shopping Centre". Good place to shop and have meal. For those who like roasted duck, one restaurant to go is "Si Ji Min Fu" Restaurant. Although we waited for about 90 mins, we never regret cos' they served very good roast duck. "A must try restaurant, is just a 5 mins walk fom the hotel" Breakfast were decent but suggest they change the menu once every 2 days cos' we have been taking the same breakfast for the last four days. Overall...the whole trip were very smooth and the stayed were perfect. Will recommend friends to stay at this hotel. Cheers!!

I would gladly recommend this hotel to my friends & family. Pros: Location: walking distance to Wangfujing shopping st, subway station, 7-11, McDonald's. Walking distance to Siji Minfu, a classy (yet good value) restaurant which serves excellent Peking duck and other dishes. Rooms & bathrooms: good size, clean and sufficient lighting. TV comes with CNN English news station Extra bed also comes with daily breakfast. Reception: Nicely decorated, no issues with cash deposit (RMB500) Cons: extra bed mattress is not comfortable, can feel the springs.

A top quality hotel with all the necessary amenities one expects from a 5 star hotel. Room service good but quite expensive for China. An excellent restaurant just off the lobby called Made in China. Best a Peking Duck in China apparently. It's costly, but worth the price. Great location and only 10 minute walk to Tian amin square and the forbidden city. Half an hour walk in the opposite direction to the silk market for all your fake goods.

Very close to Forbidden City, Wangfujing Street, and the metro. You’re in the heart of Beijing with both modern shops and little hidden cafes in the alleyways. Streets are not very well lit, but lots of people and tourists around so we felt safe walking around this area. We were upgraded to a room with a view, although it was just a view of another hotel we were happy with it! Bathroom was very clean, linens were clean, windows open so you can get fresh air. The bed was really comfortable! Great fast wifi in the room Carpet is looking a little worn and needs replaced, some of the furniture also was looking dated. Restaurant serves great Peking Duck for an affordable price. Staff was very helpful to call us taxis when needed and wants to make sure you are traveling with safe taxis and tours.

still the best place to stay in beijing. perfect location, close to restaurants and sights. easy access to shopping and taxis are easy to come by. the best part is that the hotel is pretty new and rooms are massive. none of that claustrophobic stuff going on. you will not regret staying here! there is also a fabulous peking duck place just across the street- definitely a must go!

travelled to china with my mum. the hilton is a lovely hotel, we booked a twin bedroom and our beds were double beds! the bedroom was lovely, comfortable beds, amazing walk in wardrobe, huge separate bath and shower. room complete with chaise lounge and desk. breakfast is a must. delicious food, all tastes and flavours catered for. i loved the japanese miso soup with noodles and wantons each morning. proximity to wangfuijing street is but a 2 min walk out the front door. loads of shops and department stores. we walked to forbidden city from this hotel, took about 20mins. tiananmen square is across the road from forbidden city. this hotel is well positioned for everything. easy to catch the subway, once you know how to purchase a ticket. we ate in the hotel each night in the chinese restaurant 'chynna'. excellent service and the meals were delicious. must try the peking duck! highly recommended, ask for a map at the front desk!

got checked in really fast as we arrived at about 2 in the morning. the receptionist that night wasn't particularly rude but he wasn't exactly friendly either. asked him if there's any shops that serves local food for supper nearby and he just told us to order room service. the food was alright and the portion's rather huge. anyways, the hotel is within really short walking distance to the famous da dong roast duck restaurant at jin bao plaza. the food's really good. great variety and lovely atmosphere. skip quan ju de. park plaza is also rather close to the wang fu jing shopping district though i have to say there's nothing much there and its literally made for tourists. it's also about a 20 minute walk to the forbidden city. take a stroll there. it's lovely and not too stuffy on the winter. we booked a deluxe room as it stated here that it's above the 8th storey and we wanted a view. and we were given the 8th storey. they said they had no rooms left which is ummmm ... but forgoing all that, the room was above my expectations. it's a really good 4 star hotel, there's everything you need there. hair dryer, a hot tub after a day in the cold weather, tv with many channels, lots of space for your winter luggage. and most importantly, it's really clean. and the best part is, when we realized at the airport after we had checked out that i had left my ring in the room, the staff actually brought my ring over to the hotel in a sealed envelope after we called them to ask if my ring is there and if it's possible to bring it to the airport as our flight was in an hour and a half's time. it's really the best stay ever. thank you.

This hotel is spacious, clean and has rooms with large windows. It reminds me of Hilton hotel.The hotel itself is easy to locate being next to Dongdan Subway Station, one stop from Wangfujing (shopping district and night market) and Chongwenmen where you can find the famous Peking Duck 'Bianyifang' restaurant in Glory Mall. Next to this Glory Mall is New World Mall where you can find shops like H&M and Pacific Coffee (oh the hot orange mocha is our favourite!) And from this centrally located station too you can start your journey to other attractions like Tiananmen Square. Across the hotel is a huge public park-it was magical in winter, we played snow-fight at the park after it snowed heavily in the morning.

hotel is conviniently located next to wangfujing which is a shopping belt full of good 'local brand' shops. the famous hot pot and the beijing roast duck. you can also find a hundred years old shop selling all sorts of fabrics; there is another shop selling hats. the things you can find at wangfujing is limitless. and near the hotel is the tian an men square where one can stroll the square and see the crowds !!

2 Adults, 2 Kids. Superior Suite Room King Bed. This hotel was in a perfect location. Close to Dengshikou station which was our gateway to all the sites. We typically like to see sites on our own and without booked tour so the proximity to the station was a big plus. We didn't have free breakfast, but it was so reasonably priced ($16 for adults and free for our 8 and 6 year old) that we at there all but one of the days. On one of the days we ate at McDonald's and were deeply disappointed that they did not have pancakes. The room was large and had a sofa that I could sleep on so we did not have to fit all 4 of us in one king bed. The bathrooms were also nice and clean (just shower though and no bath which I always prefer anyway). The staff also spoke English well enough to communicate which isn't always the case in the rest of Beijing. I would definitely recommend this to first time travelers in Beijing.

Hotel location just nicely located in Famous WanFuJing Street. Access to the hotel is blocked from 0900 to 2200.Aarrived at 1500 and need to carry all the luggage from the Main Street to the hotel as the taxi can’t stop at the hotel front. Our room is at the 12 floors and the moment we exit from the lift, there’s a weird smell at the walkway which I believe due to the old building. The room have window view to the 5th floor open space restaurant and opposite room clearly visible. Very cramp room as from the bed to TV is just good enough for a person to walk through. Breakfast just nice. Next to a bookstore with underground food court. The food street also just opposite the bookstore and very crowded with all the BBQ style food even the scorpion, centipede, seahorse, cuttlefish, lamb, beef inert soup and etc. The famous Peking Duck restaurant Just a walk-in distance from the hotel. Walking to Tiananmen take about 30-40 minute and along the way have a lot of souvenirs shop.

Best staff in the world. Charming setting. It felt like a youth hostel for grown-ups- great place to meet people but without the annoying drunk American college students or dorm rooms. Convenient location to sites and subway (enjoyed pre-dawn jog to flag raising at Tienanmen Square) but also cool to just hang around the hutong. Check out Taste restaurant around the corner. Sihe is showing its age a bit- there are some rough edges such as chipping paint so if you are looking for a Hilton style western hotel go elsewhere. But five nights there and I felt it was a second home while being thoroughly Chinese.

very convenient. good and best location. 10 minutes walk to forbidden city or tianmen square or wangfujing shopping district. directly opposite there's a subway fast food chain. walking distance to subway station tianmen east. very near to the nearest peking famous roast duck restaurant. hotel facilities is good and the staff service is excellent. very helpful and manage to solve all our enquiries and requests. very clean and comfortable.

The room was big and clean with all the amenities I expected. Breakfast was ok, but I have to give props to the hot pot restaurant, it was delicious and reasonably priced than outside hot pot restaurants. Location was good since it is near majors attractions but the hotel itself is located between 2 metro stops, so a 10 minutes walk to either metro entrance. Staffs were overall great, friendly and helpful, with the exception of the check in staffs of that particular night, they weren't mean or rude, just not particularly friendly or informative. I would definitely stay again though! Well worth the money and reasonably priced compared to other 4 stars hotels in the area.

The hotel isn't too bad but just not perfect. Overall rooms and services are ok. Breakfast is the pretty much the same stuff every day although there is a relative wide spread. The hotel is not inconvenient but it is not within close walking distance. Perhaps the few minutes of walking would be tolerable but in the summer heat, any minute less in the heat would be good. The nearest subway about 5 minutes away is the Cultural Center station but it requires multiple changes of lines to get to most of the attractions in Beijing. Wasn't as convenient as if you would stay near Line 1 or 2 or 4/5. Overall, the price isn't cheap too and can be considered steep. For the price, much more is expected. Hotel staff at breakfast also needs to explain more about the signing of the bill every morning for the breakfast before guest misunderstood that we may need to pay for breakfast when it's included in our package. Pool wasn't too bad with a slightly hot tub besides it. Didn't go to the gym.

It's a greatly located near to MRT Dengshikou or Art museum and bus stand right in front of the hotel. Walking distance to 2 convenient store and Wangfujing shopping street. Staffs are friendly, i checked in early around 10am. If required, you can rent an umbrella at RMB 50 deposit. Room is clean, some complaint the sound prove is bad, but OK for me. Thanks for those user reviews, i decided this good hotel.

EChoose this hotel cause it is new and in the best location in Beijing. Staff are nice and helpful. Facilities are all in top grade. There is room to improve. Like better communication on check in, reception should tell us the room to room line is disable between 22:00 - 08:00. Adding a small rubbish bin in toilet room. One more tissue box in living room. A small table next to sofa for placing tea and food...etc. Anyway, the overall experience in this hotel is great and comfortable. Would like to visit again

Though a little hard to find, hotel is actually conventiently located just 3 bus stops away from subway station Dong Si and is just a few bus stops from Tian An Men Square. Hotel is only a short walk from Xuan Wu Men or North Gate (exit gate) of the Forbidden City. Do note that visitation to the Forbidden City is currently uni-directional i.e. you could only enter from the the main entrance at South Gate at Tian An Men Square and exit from the North Gate. The hotel is located in the middle of a small road. Getting out of the hotel turning right is a small decent road which is the direction of access to the North Gate of Forbidden City. Getting out turning right however, is an alley "Hu Tong" which is lined with small shops which one would not imagine could lead to a decent multi-story hotel housed within a compound although at the beginning of the road is several signage in Chinese showing there are several hotel/motel down the road. So don't be surprise if you first hit this alley when you try to find the hotel. Trully worth noting is, housed within the compound facing the entrance gate of the hotel is the building which was once the resort home of Princess He Jia, the fourth daughter of Emperor Qian Long. In 1898, this building was converted to an educational instituion which is the predecessor of the current Peking University. It was once the tallest educational building in China. Hotel is also just next to Jing Shan Park. Wang Fu Jing and the Prince Gong Mansion (Gong Wang Fu) aren't too far to access too, although transport maybe necessary.

The hotel is in the city center and conveniently located near the Dengshikou subway station. It's within walking distance of Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing shopping district. The breakfast buffet has many choices and my family loved it. The staff was courteous and helped us purchase train tickets. The hotel is clean. However, the AC in our room wasn't cold enough in the hot summer in Beijing.

The room that was given to me was clean, comfortable and well situated. I could see the crowd passing by every morning on their way to the Forbidden City. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk to the East Gate , Donghuamen, of the Forbidden City. The hotel staff was very friendly and they were able to let me check-in to my room early at 9 am as my flight arrived very early at 1 am. There are plenty of good restaurants on the same street as the hotel and a very well known Peking Duck (Siji Minfu) restaurant just a few blocks away. I stayed there for 6 nights. Overall, an excellent choice and value for money.

This was a good hotel and staff tried their best to accommodate us. However the Restaurant dinner runs until 9.30pm, we arrived at 8pm and paid for 2 dinners, when we approached the buffet we were told a conference had been in and there was very little food left!! We thought this was a one off, but next morning at breakfast, while eating they started to clear away the juices and tea/coffee etc. when I asked for a cup of tea I had to ask 3 different people and eventually go out to desk and complain before I got a cup. By now she learned, next evening we went in at 8pm to make sure we were served, again a large conference was on and a lot of food finished. Surely they know when a conference is booked and should make extra food on these days!
