40mins from airport to hotel as there will be a little traffic. 2 of us with 2 big luggage cost THB300 to hotel by taxi. 20mins from hotel back to airport, we booked hotel transport cost THB 400. As it is difficult to find taxi to airport. Transportation to travel around the hotel is by tuk tuk, different from Bangkok tuk tuk, it's more like a Jeepny, where by other Pax will be traveling together. A lot of street food and night market around the hotel, remember to ask for bargain as I got ripped if by buyin fruits, try to give exact change when u buy stuff as they will short change you sometimes. Breakfast buffet in the hotel was good, basic breakfast stuff, their Prata was the highlight, one of the best Prata I had. Swimming pool is rather small full of children. Basic gym facilities with a few thread mills Room is a little old and toilet is very flooded everytime we finished shower, drainage problem We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and the hotel spacially decorated our room with flowers when we checkin. Checkin process was fast and hotel staff are very helpful and friendly I would it's the most luxurious hotel in Hatyai as other hotel are really old Went to festival central mall by Tuk tuk cost around THB30 per person 15mins, the biggest mall there with skating rink. H&M is cheap in there. A lot of massage parlour near the hotel THB200 per hour for foot massage, however don't expect much from the massage.. Most of them are only so so..

In the middle of the town. Location is good, infront of the hotel has morning market and night market (selling food, clothes and etc) and near to restaurant, 7-11, McD, Money Changer, easy transportation at plaza entrance. McDonald's just downstairs if you are after their signature pork burger. Room is spacious & bed is huge even is a superior twin bed but lighting is too dim with only three yellow lights provide the whole room, the room looks old but still comfortable. Less than RM150 from Agoda, you can get the best location in Hatyai, free breakfast for 2, gym and swimming pool but its under plaza and many food stalls within walking distance and superb security as you need to show your bag every time you enter the buildings. Breakfast is awesome although mentioned pork free but i found fried rice with chinese sausage during my breakfast session. You also can have cheap buffet spread with just 169Baht (RM22) at 33rd floor. Just 10 minutes walking distance from train station to hotel.

as mentioned in the tittle it is a payu hotel that is pay as you use hotel. i personally very like the concept of this hotel and it is very clean and tidy hotel. here i would like to correct and neutralize some of the bad comments to this hotel by other guests. i think they is some misunderstanding to them. i would like to write in details of the points mentioned by other guests later. before choosing this hotel people must bear in mind that this hotel don provide services (like stars rate hotel) for free. this hotel selling point is cheap/ affordable and clean & big room but simple. i personally think that this hotel is very suitable to solo traveler or backpacker or family with lower budget but also can enjoy the basic luxury for bedding and shower. 1)yes! this hotel only providing only 1 key card however if you need the 2nd key you just need to pay 100bath for deposit and it is refundable so i think it is an issue. 2)yes! this hotel don provide check in early service for free however you just need to pay 120bath for early check in per room(i did it for 5 hours early check in). i personally think it is worth because the room rate is cheap especially booked from agoda.com. so add on 120 bath i think is super worth however it still need to see room availability. 3) yes! you need to pay for each luggage 50bath for keeping in their room after/before check out/in. however they will consider those small luggage or paper bag if you tide it together it only count it as one so it only 500b. you pay as you use so it is fair to those who pay but not use if staying in other hotel. 4) yes! it is no extra given to guest and it is 1 pillow per guest. however if you do not mind to pay 120b per pillow you still can get it to send to your room. 5)yes! you need to bring down your towel with a red bag to counter to exchange your towel. however if you love the earth so you can be eco friendly so no need to change towel everyday and only use 1 towel for few day

Without a doubt, this hotel offers the best quality and place to spend your nights in Hatyai. Convenient location, very close to Lee Gardens and Pink Lady Complex, magnificent view from high floors, full facilities like swimming pool and gymnasium, great foods, exemplary staff performance. Easy to find halal foods at place nearby, especially at night. On the day of checkout I've waited for my coupon taxi for almost 45 minutes, ask one of the staff at reception counter. She helps calling the taxi company to send me a taxi promptly. On her own phone. Very nice of her, thanks. I recommend this hotel strongly. Deserved more stars actually

Despite many negative review we read from the web, we still op to stay here due to location. Suprisingly all negative comments we read about this hotel are NOT TRUE! We reach hotel at 9.30am, we just try our luck for early check in. There was 4 staff at front desk. All was VERY HELPFULL and nice. All of theme! When we try to find our room at level 9, we have been greeted by a housekeeping lady and she showed us our room. The room was clean and nice. Where is the crocroches??! We dont find any! We parked our bike at the basement. It was safe and secured. The guard at basement was also very helpful to us. In summary, we are glad we dont trust all the negative reviews. We've made the best choice by op for this hotel. Highly recomended! I will come again and will definately choose Grand Plaza Hatyai. Thank you.

The front office clerks was kind and respectful. The place was abit far to the lee garden area. But it is hat yai so everywhere is close plus there is grab. There is no breakfast but there is a lounge where you can serve yourself a cereal,toast,juices,teas,snacks and etc. The lounge have different type os food/snacks on a different time. We book the family suite and the toilet bowl was fantastic. It was quite big balcony. The TV Channel were perfect. There was hot water,mineral water,towels,fridge. It was clean. I think its the best hotel hat yai can offer. As other hotels in hat yai are pretty creppy,old,dark and dirty. This was the best. Hence i totally recommend. It was a lovely stay. Thank you.

We arrived by train from Malaysia early in the morning and the hotel receptionist very kindly allowed us to check in. She also drew a map for us to the best Thai beef noodle shop near our hotel. We followed her simple map, made a few wrong turns, asked a few local stall holders and shop keepers and eventually found the famous Thai beef noodles in a corner shop opposite the BP Grand Tower hotel ! What a treat for us, it was the best beef noodles dish we had ever tasted in Thailand. We went back to eat the same beef noodles every afternoon during our time in Hat Yai. The hotel breakfasts were surprisingly good, we particularly liked the American breakfast. All in all, we had a VERY NICE stay at the Golden Crown Plaza Hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again in August when we travel to Hat Yai for another holiday.

Originally was supposed to stay for 5 nights but booked for a day trip and ended up only for 3 nights. Pros: - Female staff on different shifts are extremely friendly and helpful!! Able to speak conversational English. Thanks to the female lady on night shift daily till 1AM who took care of me during my stay!! :) - very near to central area, e.g food stalls, Lee gardens. 3 traffic lights down to the food area, u can ask the staff to show u - i grab around most of the time - anywhere in the city will be about 85 baht on grab. Further places (e.g Samila beach, waterfall is about 500-520 baht per way) - aircon was working very well in the room (female dormitory) and unlike the reviews, the shower in my room was working perfectly fine and I had warm showers for the nights without issues Cons: - The dormitory level (level 2) was VERY creepy and pitch dark towards the night especially w no lights on. My room was located in a deep corner with a prayer mat outside the room (u can just imagine) and huge dark empty common area. Didn't see any human beings on my level or room during my entire stay at all lol - pls switch on the lights otherwise u might trip - think walls were v thin small noises can be heard from the outside - the hotel is literally just beside a train station (hence the name) so train service starts 5-6am onwards. There would be a LOUD announcement going on for about a minute in the early hours of the morning + honking of the trains consecutively. You do not need an alarm really! - no water machines for Hot/cold water - I really wanted to boil my tea - no hair dryers and duvets are just thick Long towels This is a basic simple hotel so no qualms as it was v affordable for the price paid for my stay :) Do book this if you are not fussy

This is my first stay at Aloha hotel Hatyai. We usually stay at May Flower or New Season hotel at Lee garden area. Aloha hotel is just 5 minutes walking distance to Lee Garden plaza, so won't bring any trouble if we stay in Aloha hotel. Fast check in & check out. Hotel provide free WIFI in whole building & with very fast speed. Clean room with comfortable bed. Value for money & everything just fine but can be better for a three star hotel. we founded our perfect traditional Thai massage from their massage centre on third floor. Will definitely come back on Aloha hotel for my next stay in Hatyai city.

the first time i booked the hotel, i would not imagine that it is could be so enjoyable. when we got there, we were greeted by good service. room is very cheap for a three-star hotel. we were quite surprised to find a big screen tv in the room. is is awesome, because we planned to watch champions league final together. a direct view into the bustling city atmosphere. from there pretty close to the entertainment center. too bad, we felt that the toilet was less shiny. but it was enough for a hotel with little cost.

Very satisfied. The Family suite has 2 adjoining rooms, with a shared bathroom, but each room has a double bed, a TV, a mini fridge, a dressing table, a clothes cabinet, and 2 chairs + little table. The rooms were cool, clean and equipped with all the basic necessities including a hair dryer, and best of all designated non-smoking as we requested. It is ideal for 4 adults, and could fit in 2 kids as the beds appear to be king-sized. It is rated 3-stars, but much better than what you get in other similar hotels in Hatyai. We will certainly choose this hotel on our next visit to Hatyai.

I'm a season traveller there. I've stayed many hotels but none can be compared to BP Grand Tower. Check-in staff/bell boy all very friendly and helpful. Room, big spacious and clean. Bed sheet change everyday. Provided daily 2 bt drinking water and 2 coffee sachet with creamer n sugar. Also a hair dryer for those required. Toilet amenities; 2 small bar soap, shampoo n body bath plus cotton bud. However, no tooth brush provided. Hot water can be adjusted to suit your bathing temperature. Room window views is spectacular. Can see the town if on high floor. Now back to room prices. This hotel usually provide a package with breakfast included. This time somehow i booked online which show breakfast excluded. Prices was reasonable and to my liking as i usually woke up late. Anyway, i'm there to enjoy and relax. I would suggest hotel management implement a 2 tier pricing; with and without breakfast. If not for this i would have given a 5 star ratings. Finally, my 1st choice hotel!!!

1. Receptionist is very friendly nice, all info provided upon query 2. Room is cozy/acceptable with basic amenities provided, 2 bottle water provided 3. Free Tuk-Tuk shuttle to Kim Yong market & Lee Garden (the Hotel selling point!) 4. Hotel environment is quiet suitable those need good rest after explore for whole day activity 5. Compliment WiFi provided (lil bit slow during peak hour) We booked 2 room with connecting, thus can’t get a new renovated room (hence the room abit decent old); & just a single door interval hence sound was clear from next door. (Room 712 & 714) Only two small lift in the building hence skip the usage during peak hour. Walking distance at least 850m (15min) to reach nearest 7eleven convenience store (near Kim Yong market) Hotel deposit is THB1000 and only accept cash. Overall is satisfy to the stay.

location was v. good. only a short 5mins walk to Lee garden and nearby shopping center. Kim Yong market is also a 10mins walk from the hotel. there are a lots of eatery shops around especially the one opposite the hotel serving the best bak kut teh in my opinion. Room was clean and with simple amenities like shampoo sachets and hand soap.. fresh towels and free bottle water are replenished daily. They don't provide hair dryer and safebox in the room though. it can be a bit of noisy from the passing traffic as our room was facing the road. Overall, I would recommend this hotel whether u are here for a short or long trip if u don't mind the simple but clean hotel. a very convenient location.

This is the old Lee Garden not the Lee Garden Plaza. Located not in the busy tourist centre, walking distance to the centre but doubt most Malaysian will walk. I got the renovated room, fresh coat of paint, bathroom new tiles and clean. room furniture was the unrefurbished but still functioning, no flat screen TV you get the old cathode ray TV, fridge is normal bar fridge, air-conditioning is very cold only can on or off. hot water normal temperature heat can't get the very high heat temperature. key card room access and need the card for power supply in room. Very good room size. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Assisted beyond their job by enabling me to call a local. Concierge was a very friendly elder guy, making the place more homely. Linen was a bit tired might have some tear but it is clean. To summarise, value for money, room clean, linen is clean, toilet is clean, lobby is clean, hotel looks old, furniture is old but function. staff attentive friendly, make the place welcoming. for the money you pay don't expect 5 star service, but there is good service.

A little far from hat yai town center, is on south edge, but just 3 minutes' walk to Sakura Hotel for great massages and buffet breakfast. You can enter hotel/lobby from the back through the carpark or front. As you exit from the hotel's front entrance, walk left and turn left around the corner, walk straight ahead (towards the city center), you will pass a few street foods and eating shops all along the right opposite side of the road. You will find delicious and non-tourist priced thai food - noodles, mixed rice, and dim-sum. You must try the famous one that has the best wantan noodles and chicken/duck/pork rice - it is behind the Hatyai Rama hotel, as you walk straight towards Sakura Hotel, just before the opposite of the hotel on the right, in a small lane (left side of the lane).

I traveled with famalies, so booked both the grand and junior suite. The grand suite: Grand suite compare to junior suite, feels bigger a bit and has a balcony. Price wise just few bucks more expensive than junior suite. Clean, new and nice room. Aircond is working well, bath tub/toilet is clean, looks like newly renovated/upgraded room. Breakfast not much choice, but it's definately a full set breakfast, taste quite ok. I would definately book this hotel for my next visit.

Pros: •Cheap rate compared to other hotels with same facility. •Hotel let us checked in as early as 10 am. •Though the furnitures are dated..the room, bedding & bathroom are spotlessly clean. •Walking distance to Lee Garden Plaza, Kai Tod Decha Restaurant, Salma Restaurant, Kelantan Restaurant, Kim Yong Plaza, Railway Station, Robinson Dept Store, Seven Eleven. •Bellboy name Anuar is so attentive and he can speak Malay well. •Lots of TukTuk in front of hotel/also easy to get Grab. • Free TukTuk to & from Central Festival Mall (just let Anuar know). Cons: •Staff at receptionist speak minimal English and not quite warm & welcoming. • Pillows kind of hard (rubber material) but we slept safe n sound nontheless. •Got kettle and glass in the room but no tea or coffee sachet. •Hotel keep our passport so we better have copy of our passport with us. •Elevator to level 6 only. Have to walk to get to level 7 (highest level) but it was just a couple of steps away.

It is located at the heart of Hat Yai. The room is not in a good condition - shower knob kept on falling, safety box in the room not working, hair dryer not working, bath tub has a lot of stains and it starts to chip off. But since we are always out - I would say it is manageable. The room was nice for my son and he enjoyed staying there. What makes this hotel recommendable for me is the service they provide - they always smile and tried there best to be of service though language is still a barrier. I like the food serve in their restaurant.

we reach at this hotel, they ask we to transfer to another hotel. we request for extra bed, they don't have it and it so terrible for us cz we have to share 1 bed with 4 person in that time room are fully booked. please do not do like this again and please inform earlier for not to jeopardize our holiday with service like this. overall, for the "exchange" (little bear hotel) is best service, clean and nice.

I had a pleasent stay. The room rate is very cheap with acceptable condition. The hotel room seems old but considering only paying at a small amount. I would say this is the best hotel to be in Hatyai. Although the hot water and the toilet were clogged, after complaining they were fixed accordingly. This hotel also provides Malaysian channels and I found that this is very good as I can still watch Malaysian news eventhough I was in Hatyai.

Leelawadee Resort 2 located few miles away from Hatyai Town, this make it away from crowded and noisy places, it is recommended for those who want an quiet staying environment. The best advantage this resort is there is own car parking area right in-front of your room, ideal for those who drive own car to Hatyai. Inside room have fridge, tv, air-cond, but doesn't have cupboard, should add a cupboard in the room.

our room consist of 1 master bed and 1 single bed which was comfortable for 3 of us. they provide everything including the towel, mineral and soap. the service was fantastic eventhough they have trouble to speak in english..they are very helpful and most of them can speak malay..so, for those malaysian people, i really2 recomanded you to stay here.furthermore, this hotel was located near to the tourist attractions such as the floating market which sell all the halal food for muslims. there is also plenty of halal food around the hotel.other than that, its also near to the central plaza which sell all the afforable good from food, cloth, toys and etc.so check it out!!!

stayed here for 2d1n. it's pretty far from the city. had to keep taking the motorbike taxi (abt 7 mins ride, each trip cost between 30b to 50b one way depending on the time). not many food places nearby. you can find some thaifood within the near walking distance, but the options are little. the hotel itself is located beside 3 clubs..the clubs are loud! the rooms are somewhat well insulated but you can still hear the heavy bass till about 4am or 5am, depending on what time they feel like going home. so if you're a super light sleeper, this is not a good place. as for the hotel itself. the room is spacious (i got a superior room). the shower and the room is clean. however, there isn't a coffee/tea making facility in the room, and the hotel's cafe is closed for some reason, so no breakfast/coffee here either. and hotel room view is just neighbouring buildings. the receptionist don't speak much english so communication was a lil bit of a problem. the room in which i stayed, they bulb in the shower was fused, i called them up, the room service woman came up, said something in siamese, shook her head and when away. so i had to manage with the mirror's light. so in total, the room is clean, beds are comfortable.. but there are too many other downsides, so i wouldn't stay here again. it would be better off staying smack in the city.

Got a great stayed in this hotel but on the 30/12/2012, a wedding function was held at the 2nd floor - 6.30am !!!!! This should not be happening coz it disturb everyone staying there especially we are having a late nite back to hotel. I was really pissed off with all the noise and sincerely hope the hotel management shouldn't allow this to happen. Overall, it is a very beautiful n comfortable hotel which I will book again in future.

Stayed here for 3nights in April and this is a right choice for us. Located about 2km away from Hatyai town centre (Lee Garden or Centara) and suitable for those who drives on your own and preferred a little quiet neighborhood. You can ask for Tuk,Tuk service from the reception. The double bed room is nice, modern and clean. No carpets and tiles only (good for those who are allergic to dusts). Booked the room only without breakfast and is affordable and value for money. Got wifi, LCD TV, AC , bar fridge and also safe deposit. No coffee/tea facilities but is okay for us. 24hrs Tesco Lotus or 7,11 stores just about 2mins walk/500metres away and at night got local eateries places to eat. There's a good Thai massage centre nearby called Oliver Ancient Massage :) Different types of stalls and food located nearby and mostly catered for the local Thais here. Will certainly recommend to everyone who would like to try somewhere less touristic and go for some local taste.
