It was indeed a pleasant experience staying in this hotel for 5 days. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Further, the airconditioning system was superb especially the summer season in Beijing. The hotel is located near the major shopping street at Wangfujing and the nearest subway station is 10 mins away from the hotel. The hotel staff are also prompt in responding to my enquiries and have been very friendly throughout my stay. The only downside is that the swimming pool is small and can only accommodate a few people at any one time. Nevertheless, with its prime location and excellent room, I would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a 5-star hotel in Wangfujing area.

Pros: The hotel is located close to Tiananmen, Qianmen (10mins walk), and Wangfujing street (5-7mins walk) Big room and nice Chinese decolation. Staff speak English. Great value. Cons: Internet connection was very slow. Mosquitoes in summer time inside the room! (The front desk staff brought an insecticide cartridge, but it didn't work. Bring your insect repellent spray)

Great hotel with spacious room. Very helpful and friendly receptionist and concierge. Having the subway right in front of the hotel really helps a lot, for as finding a taxi in Beijing can be a real challenge. The hotel is conviniently located a the central, therefore we had easy access to all the favourite tourist spots and shopping areas. Wangfujing street is about 10-15 mins walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is right at Wangfujing Street and is only a couple minutes walk to the pedestrian-only section. A great location for food and shopping. Subway station is within walking distance, but I would advise taking a taxi to get there if you have luggage since it is several minutes of walk from the subway station. The hotel enforces the non-smoking rule pretty well. There was no cigarette smell in the lobby, corridor, and room. It is unusual in China. (Many five-star hotels in China don't enforce the non-smoking rule, even in non-smoking rooms.) If you can't stand cigarette smell, stay in this hotel. The room is kind of small and old but functional. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I will stay there again.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 days,after travelling from Shanghai on the bullit train(4.5hrs express G train)Travelled by taxi about 30 mins from South Beijing railroad station.The room size for a standard queen bed is good,although if you can ask for a room with a view of the forbidden city do so, as because of the hotel roof shape,many rooms have only ceiling windows which only alows for .The location is unbelievableas it is close to so many must se tourist attractions,Wangfujing street(the main street for disigner shopping and also local street market,which sells just about anything.Travelling to badaling wall which is the best section of the Great Wall is easy by bus (2hrs from Wangfujing station Line 1 then line 2 station.Catch bus number 877 at the bus transit.Overall the stay at this hotel for price and location will impress any fussy person.

We stayed at the Regent Beijing for two nights on March 17 and 18th 2018. We are family of four with children aged seven and ten. The hotel is great has a great location a couple blocks from Wangfujing Street and the snack street. Check in was easy and quick and they excepted visa for a security deposit. There is a Starbucks directly behind the hotel in Jinbao Tower and a good noodle and hot pot restaurant across the street from Jinbao Tower. Breakfast in the hotel is very expensive CDN$200 for breakfast for two - breakfast should not cost more than the actual cost of the room! Stayed in Hilton Wangfujing over 2 nights (20/07 and 21/07) was a great experience... So far, it is the best hotel I have stayed in Beijing since many times... It has great location which is located just beside Wangfujing Walking Street and around the hotel you can find almost everything you need. For the room, it is well decorated. Everything in the room is like perfect. It has a huge king size bed by the brand of Serta, which is very comfortable. It has a seperate bathroom with bath tub, 2 choices of rain shower, one like raining from the head and one like massaging from the back, a folder seat attached to the wall, you can even watch TV in the bathroom. For the Hilton staffs, they are so great that they are always there to serve & help you with any requests. Overall, it was a wonderful experience staying with Hilton Wangfujing... This is one of the best hotel I would highly recommended for anyone who want to stay in Beijing, even though the price for a night staying in this hotel is considered on the higher side....

I stayed in room 616 and overall it's an excellent solid choice if you're in the mid-range budget. There are places that are cheaper (<50 USD/night), but I don't think it'll be this comfy. This place makes me feel like sleeping in a 5 star but only paying fraction of it - very value for money (paid about 80 USD/night after Agoda discount voucher - originally 90 something). You can also stay in more expensive hotels (200-300+ USD/night), but I don't see the need for that after experiencing Park Plaza. Location: - Literally 2 mins away from the metro gate Dengshikou - Wangfujing street is about 3 blocks away, but Tiananment is a long stroll (20-30 mins - but who visit Tiananmen everyday anyway? as long as near metro, you're fine) - Cab driver can find it easily (I printed the hotel name+address in Chinese and map) - Seemed to be upscale location; we literally saw 2 couples in the same afternoon taking pre-wed pics at Jinbao street. And there's a lot of high end car showroom on the main street as well. Room: - Bed was comfy, not hard as I heard in other hotels in China - Room size was quite big; did not feel claustrophobic compared to hotels in Japan - Design is modern, kept clean. TV is LCD flat screen, model from 2 years ago so relatively new. - The wall is quite thick although you can still hear sound leakage from the hallway - but not a big annoyance - Water pressure no issue. Air con also fine (controllable in each room ). - FREE internet (although I did not try due to no laptop) Service: - Booked via Agoda, check in/out was no issue - we did get the king bed in new tower as requested (so your note during reservation is attended) - Did not try the room service but when I asked for a bucket of ice, they come within 10 mins - Most staff speaks English, if someone is confused with your question they will immediately get someone else who speaks better English to attend to you - No safety issue, we placed our items in safety box everything is intact. We stayed here for a week in the summer. The deluxe room was very big, with desk and comfortable seating area. For China, the room had really fast internet. Breakfast (included in the price) was fine and had plenty of choice. We also tried dinner in the Chinese restaurant – very good. The staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful and arranged our Great Wall trip for us. The location is perfect. Metro stop just outside, and the hotel is in easy walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City (with Jing Shan Park just behind), Wangfujing Street, and the excellent Beijing Dadong duck restaurant. The surrounding streets also had some great local, cheap eateries. We’ll definitely stay here again.

From the moment we walked in the door we knew this was the perfect choice. We were greeted by the manager Aref Sayegh. We received a nice surprise and were upgraded to a suite - #6513! All of the staff were extremely helpful - especially Anais Liu, who always greeted us with a smile. Once we checked into our beautiful room we also received some nuts and cookies! I would also highly recommend the breakfast! This is not something we normally do, but it was the best breakfast we had our entire stay in China! Kevin was amazing and also greeted us daily. The location is perfect and we were able to walk to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing Street. This is definitely the hotel to stay at when visiting Beijing!

I enjoyed staying in the hotel as it is very close to Wangfujing sighseeing and shopping centres. Most I likes is that in the evening you will enjoy having a walk in Wangfujing street which is free of vehicles. You may have fun seeing Chinese scupturesin Wangfuling street which demonstrates antient Chinese people' s live. You may enjoy testing real Chinese food and buying Chinese souviners. Things are cheaper in Wangfujing street. Hotel is clean and staff are very friendly. Buuilding may seem a bit old but it is very clean.

Fortunately we have picked a hotel which are 5 mins walk to the subway. This is very important if you rely on public transport to move around to all the sites. Trust me, after the all day long walking around all the historical sites, you would want to be back to your hotel room without more walking. A 24hr McD is just across the street for those who are not adventures on food. The nearby Oriental Plaza has plenty more choices. The Wangfujing Street is practically at the doorstep, so shopping and exotic food are every where. Highly recommended for tourists who wish to visit the city on their own.

The hotel is in a great location towards the northern end of Wangfujing Street. It is well served by taxis and is 15/25 mins walk respectively from subway stations at Dongdan and Wangfujing. I stayed here whilst on business but the hotel would also work very well for tourists. The rooms are a little dated but they are comfortable. The hotel's best feature is an atrium lounge perfect for a relaxing drink.I would certainly stay here again.

I wasn't expecting too much. Chose this because of its location, the history, ... and because it seemed like an interesting place. Turns out, I'd equate it to a boutique hotel. Room amenities included. Modern bathroom facilities with traditional room decor. A shared courtyard adds a nice touch. Although the restaurant is only open for breakfast,fab choices of food is just around the corner! Street food and lovely hole-in-the-walls offer delicious spreads. Forbidden City, Tiannemen Square and Wangfujing are within a 30 min walk. But the hotel offers complimentary private car shuttle to and from these venues. Staff are wonderful and very accommodating! Worth the stay.

Hotel Kapok was conveniently located to major attractions such as the Forbidden City, Tiananmen square and the Wangfujing shopping street. However, we made the mistake of going to Beijing in Winter (As a Sydneysider I've never experienced such cold weather even when I went to the snows at Perisher). As such, it was a struggle to walk even 2 blocks after dark. For anything close by it wasn't easy finding legitimate metered cabs to take you back to the hotel as they didn't find it worth their time to take us back so we did a lot of walking in the cold. They have an underground subway system that is easy to figure out as everything is also in English but the closest subway to the hotel is in Wangfujing street and a 20 minute walk. Long story short, I really advise against going in Winter, unless you actually enjoy extremely cold weather. Getting the the hotel was difficult by taxi as this is a smaller, boutique hotel with an exterior that doesn't actually look like a hotel. We had to call the hotel so they could give instructions to the taxi driver, so make sure you have the hotel number on you. The reception was small but efficient with fast check-in and check-out. We stayed in room 2201 which was once the Chairman's room so there was an actual computer inside for use. This would have been great if the computer wasn't so slow, but it was still handy to have around. If you have a smartphone there's also free wifi in the rooms (with normal speed internet). Our room including the bathroom was lovely, spacious and modern, though we could hear the traffic from our room. Unfortunately, as it was Winter, the room was always around 14 degrees when we entered as the heat would turn off when we removed our card from the slot. And when you've been walking around freezing cold, It would have been great to come back to a warmer room, but we had to wait around half n hour for the room to get to 25 degrees. I'd stay it definitely lived up to its four star rating.

This is the best hotel I stayed in Beijing. If you want to experience Chinese Culture in depth, you do not want to miss this hotel. The hotel is a heritage courtyard house of an ancient scholar back in the emperor's day (ask the luggage boy, he will tell you all about it). The layout of the rooms and garden, and the interior of the rooms and furniture are all very ancient style (not some cheap furniture), which will bring us back to the emperor's day, just like what you see in the movies. The staffs are all very friendly and polite, the receptionists and even the luggage boy. The luggage boy spend time tell us a lot about the history of this hotel, which make it more meaningful when you stayed in there. The location of the hotel is very near the City centre, in the alley way (hutong), but no big departmental store nearby. However it does give you a feel when you walk thru the hutong to the main street (quite safe in the hutong as there is a police station next to the hotel). 10 mins walk will bring you to a subway station, which will bring you to the downtown shopping area within 3 stations. Free wifi and broadband computer in the room, very handy. I will definitely stay in this hotel again if I go to Beijing as it leaves a very good impression.

Stayed here for 8 nights. Clean, nice and v safe hotel. Highly recommended for comfort. However, downside is a little far from WangFuJing, about 15mins walk. Nearest subway is DengKouShi 灯口市 station, at least a 10mins quick walk. Next nearest subway station is WangFuJing station, about 20mins walk. There is a little Family Mart right across the road. Next nearest eating area is at DengKouShi street, about 10mins walk. There are 庆丰包子，McDonald's and other cafes and eateries. I would definitely consider returning.

The hotel is near Wangfujing Street and Tiananmen Square, within walking distance only. The rooms were also recently renovated. We also loved the buffet breakfast and the price is affordable too. We booked a van with the hotel going to Great Wall Mutianyu at a very good price for a group of 11 people. The only con was that the hotel receptionist were having a hard time speaking in english. Good thing was we had a Chinese friend with us to talk to them. Overall, we loved our stay in Citytel Inn.

On websites, the hotel lists itself near Gugong (Imperial Palace) and Wangfujing, but it is 2-3 subway stops away. Nevertheless, it is conveniently located: walking distance to the Domestic Airlines Building (where you get on the airport bus for a one-hour ride), Tian'anmen Square, and Xuenwuming subway station (Lines 2 and 4). North of Tian'anmen is the Imperial Palace. The staff's service is excellent. I needed to repack a cardboard box, and the hotel provided me packing tapes. The wi-fi is complimentary, as are two bottles of water each day. There are a swimming pool and fitness center in the basement, but there is no wi-fi there. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are restaurants in small alleys (hutongs) across the street.

Value for money. Room is spacious, wired internet free, computer provided, complimentary water and soft drinks, bathrobes, safe, torchlight, toiletries etc that makes our stay so comfortable. Convenient location near Wangfujing Street, Palace Museum, helpful doorman to flag taxis on a rainy day. Good spread of dinner buffet at 68yuan. Would recommend to any traveller looking for four star accomodation.

We love this hotel. This is a big hotel. A local 5 star hotel with spacios room, big size bathroom, very clean room and complete amenities. Superb location it is only 100 mtr away from Dongdan station (line 1 & 5) exit B facing to the Jianguo hotel and 200 mtr away to exit A & F facing to the malls at oriental. Subway transportation is the best way to explore beijing since it is very very difficult to find a local who can speak english. Wangfujing street it is around 1 km away from the hotel (right behind of the malls at oriental). I would definately recommend this hotel to everyone
