Find hotels in Xiyuan Hospital Of China Academy Of Chinese Medical Sciences

after staying at several hotels in beijing, we have decided that this is the best one for value for money. also customer service in china is nothing to shout about, however every member of staff at this hotel was friendly, kind and helpful. not once did anyone make us feel like we were unwelcome (as many hotels in china have). it has several large buildings all with a number of functions. the hotel was very busy and i think they accept a lot of chinese group tours as we kept seeing bus load after bus load. the room was clean and large and the bathroom was also very good. the shower was fantastic. the housekeeping service went out of thier way to help us and keep everything tidy - they made a huge effort to try to understand us. they also gave us a daily newspaper in english which was a bonus! the pool can be used by everyone - not just people staying at the hotel. it wasn't really a relaxing pool but more of one to burn off those calories. there was not a single bikini in sight, and everyone had to wear a swimming cap. and you had to pay - not much. there is also a bowling alley which was good and that too costs extra, but it's still a fraction of the price of the uk! the staff there were very helpful too. we ate serveral of the restuarant - the western one was terrible (staff were fantastic, but the food was awful!) i think they were microwave meals! the other restuarants were ok, but we have eaten much nicer food in china - there are plenty of restuarants near the entrance to the hotel that do better food. would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit beijing - good value for money...much better than anywhere else in beijing (well, that we found anyway!).

we travelled to china for business and arrived at the hotel late at night. we were still greeted by happy faces who just wanted to make our check-in as easy and simple and fast as possible so that we could get settled. the room is just lovely - large enough but not too large - beautifully decorated and well maintained. one of the reasons i chose the hotel (beyond those others given by trip advisor reviews) was that one of the windows opens and one doesn't need to rely on the air conditioning. that's been great already last night as it just gave a little fresh (well as fresh as beijing air can be) to the room. the pool is amazing. the gym - well equipped. there is a steam room and sauna. this is just great if you're travelling on business and want a daily unwind. the bathroom is amazing and no trouble is spared - all amenities are here with thoughtful little packs for sewing, manicare, toothbrushes and everything else you could think of. today, before a business meeting, i had my boots polished by the complimentary shoe-shine. they came back sparkling. the bed is very comfortable and the choice of pillows makes sure that you've got one that you are comfortable with. the rate was fabulous (thanks agoda) and i enjoyed the free internet access because i paid a little extra for an executive floor - really worth the upgrade. the club floors also entitle you to some meeting spaces and food / drinks complementary on the 28th floor. the location is great - only a short distance walk from a subway station.

The Holiday Inn is an excellent business hotel. One nice feature is that they have adjustable-height swivel desk chairs in the guest rooms, which makes working on your computer much more comfortable than at many other hotels. The guest rooms are really high quality. The hotel has three restaurants, serving Chinese, Indian and "Western fusion" food. I tried the Chinese menu a couple of times and was disappointed each time. In contrast, the Indian food was surprisingly good. I had just come from Delhi, and am familiar with good Indian food. The chef was a native Indian and the food was excellent. The breakfast buffet was good quality with a large selection of Chinese and Western dishes. The staff were sometimes challenged to speak english. Often when I ordered room service, they could not understand what I was saying, even though I was ordering items straight off the menu. Overall I was very happy with my stay.

i have stayed all over china, upscale and down. for the price, this is by far a away the best deal in beijing. the two-level suites are roomy, comfortable, modernly decorated, with a great view of the city (on one side) and the mountains (on the other). the staff is very professional, restaurants give a great dining experience, and, depending on your needs, it is in a great location (haidian, the university section of beijing, science park). i worked long days and thoroughly enjoyed coming "home" to ariva.

The Vision Hotel is located next to the Beijing Aeronautical University (北航). Although a bit out of the way, the location is still convenient, being only 5 minute walk from the Xitucheng station of the Beijing Number 10 subway line. Good value for business or sightseeing travelers in the mid-budget range. Breakfast buffet is quite good, if a bit expensive (Y98/head)and includes both western and Chinese style choices.

It was pretty good. I think that the hotel is above average. Clean and practical. Staff are really great and friendly. its a generally good hotel. the only small problem is, that some of the windows face inwards and therefore if you get one of these rooms you don't get a good view. And also these inward facing rooms have little light. But other than this. Its still a good hotel.

room was plenty big, but a bit tired. marble floors and carpeting not the cleanest. hotel currently under renovation. some restaurants closed at present. bed clean and comfortable. in china, all hotel beds tend to be a bit too firm, but this bed was very soft and comfortable. the staff were very accommodating. i was prepared to launch into my best chinese, but no need; i was greeted in english at the check-in counter. the one restaurant i ate in was clean and affordable. the western style food was fine. a very convenient location since i was studying at a language school just across the road. and the taxi from the airport was easy.

The hotel is very nice and clean with a comfortable hot spring. But the check-in staff makes a terrible mistake. I confirmed with him several times that if my reservation is without breakfast. He said, "if you want to have breakfast at the hotel, you need to pay an extra fee." And when I check the reservation on agoda, I found that my reservation included the breakfast.

most importantly - really clean; had everything i expected for a good hotel. only had rooms that had two beds, but the price for one bed isn't too bad. the worst / only bad part was that they didn't have my reservation although i booked mine a month earlier. don't know why this happened because the payment happened one month before the stay. be careful of this; but you can still keep telling them (some of them don't speak english but you can still pull through) you booked "online" and they'll do it for you. it's really close to tsinghua which was basically what i was looking for. highly recommend this place

hotel is conveniently located near peking university and highly recommended for parents visiting their children studying there. there is a subway station that is less than 10 mins walk away that provides connectivity. hotel and its amenities are modern and clean though the pillows could be better (they are too soft) and the quilt blanket is a bit too warm. still, the room is decent sized the other is wifi connection. i brough my ipad and not laptop so i needed a router for my room but they were all loaned out. went down to use the free wifi at the lobby and was quickly connected. however, none of my whatsapp messages were sent. that's connectivity indeed!!

the location of the hotel is excellent. it is about 10 minutes walking distance from bus. you can get a taxi to the t station in $10. the room is fine but the bathroom is outdated. the tub is small even for 5 feet tall woman. the plug to the bath tub was stuck and i had to call the front desk to have someone to remove it. the electric teapot is outdated and has water stain at the bottom. called the front desk to replace one but they told me that all the teapots are the same.

The location is great. There is a bus stop right outside of the alley where this hotel is located. It would take you to either Yuanmingyuan or Yiheyuan with 1 stop, and 2 stops to Qinghua U. or Beijing U. The subway station is also within one stop by bus. The flowery trees in the traditional Chinese garden, the interior Chinese decor, and the glass bridge over the goldfish pond are all lovely. Best of all, the internet is working properly; very unusual for a Chinese hotel. The breakfast includes many courses with a reasonable price of RMB$30 per person. All in all, this hotel could have deserved a 5-star, if its service didn’t make me miserable. When I was having my breakfast, an attendant claimed that I was not the guest in my room, even though my room key holder has my room number on it. She said the guest was supposed to be a foreign male. I told her the front desk has the copy of my travel document on file, but she wouldn’t give up harassing me. Probably in her eyes, a female native Chinese speaker could not possibly come from overseas alone. Were you kidding me? Unfortunately, I booked with this hotel for 4 non-consecutive stays, so my misery didn’t just end with this one case. Keep reading my other reviews… 这酒店什么都好就是服务太差，我用早餐的时候居然有一个服务生一再来骚扰我，说我不是该店的旅客，说我的房间应该是一个外国男人，我的确是来自海外，但不是洋人，我的手上拿着房门钥匙套上有我房间的号码，酒店前台也有我的旅行证件影印本，凭什么一再来骚扰我？不幸我在这酒店订了4天，后面几天还有更糟的遭遇…..

I am a solo traveler on a conference at Beijing. The hotel is located only about 15 minutes to top Beijing universities and merely 10 minutes to a subway station (Wo Dao Kou) that gives you access anywhere in Beijing. I arrived in late October when the temperature has gradually dropped, yet the heater hasn't yet been turned on (nationally, the heater is on in November, but of course not for all hotel, if you stay in 4-5 stars, then there will be heater), thus it feels very cold inside the room (esp. if you come from tropical countries) and there's nothing you can do except take a very hot shower (temp. inside the room is around 15-20 degrees C). Breakfast is 15 yuen chinese buffet (soup, veggy, eggs, noodles, rice, basically local food). If you don't smoke, make sure to ask for a non-smoking room because the room I stayed in smell like cigarette, esp. everytime you come into the room. The room itself is quite spacious with a huge bathroom. Unfortunately not all staff (even in the front office) can speak English. (There is only one or two who can speak very little English, so be prepared). All in all, the hotel is worth the money.
