i admire the architecture of this resort and the excellent design and workmanship of the interiors - a perfect blend of traditional and modern designs. the crown plaza lijiang ancient town is centrally located. it has best of both worlds where one can stay in the resort to enjoy serenity and a relaxing spa treatment or to take a stroll at the ancient town with direct access from the side gate. the tee tree spa is beautifully designed with stones and wood; with lots of natural light and landscaped courtyards. the hotel is new, and the staff are friendly and helpful which made our stay very pleasant. a top choice if you visit lijiang.

old town Hotel”
a very good and modern hotel resort. directly at the entrance of the old ancient town of lijiang. very modern with good hotel rooms in seperate blocks situated around the hotel. restaurants are very good. there is a chinese restaurant and a brazilian restaurant. a shop for jackets and suitcases, a tea bar and a beautiful lounge bar with terrace overviewing the (snowy) mountains. directly out of the hotel you walk into the old city.

Living in ancient china”
the hotel is amazing. we lived in little houses built to look like little courtyard houses in china. it had an awesome view of yue long xue shan (snow mountain) and walking distance to the ancient town of lijiang. be armed with map when venturing out to ancient town at night. the ancient town is like a maze, and u can get easily lost. and if you do, just ask the locals. they are very helpful.

The intercontinental lijiang is in the best location.. Just in the ancient town.. The breakfast is very good and the room is so comfort. Will go there again if I am in lijang

Great place to stay in Lijiang”
First of all, and it's important for a trip taking place in December, the heat in my room at the Crowne Plaza was very pleasant. The room itself was large and well decorated. I could play my Ipod, dvds, tv with really good channels in English. The bathroom had a lovely bathtub, as well as a shower with great water pressure. The bed was extremely comfortable. I ordered many times from room service, and though expensive (club sandwich for RMB 95), the food was always excellent. I cannot find fault with the hotel, except that I was not impressed with their breakfast when I had it on my last morning, and got some stomach bug as a result. The door at the back of the hotel makes it very simple to go to the Old City of Lijiang. Very pleasant & efficient ladies at reception, with good English language skills.

A world of class”
it is indeed a great hotel. everything is being arrange perfectly. customer service, cleaner and even the buggy boys are well trained. one occasion, we asked for pick and call the hotel at 1am, the customer service quickly without any issue made the arrangement for pick up in the morning. they even called to confirm our arrival time. another occasion, we asked to buy performing dance tickets, and they gladly bought for us with any service fee. breakfast is excellent, my 4 years old daughter realy loved the hotel especially thru its back door is the lijiang old town.

Excellent hotel - chic and stylish”
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel - it was probably the nicest place we stayed at during an 18 day trip to China. Very "Bali-esque" vibe to the place. Great rooms (huge, nice amenities) and fantastic location on the edge of the Lijiang old town. I'd definitely stay here again and would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Lijiang.

Convenient Location Yet Private”
Overall, we enjoyed our 2 day stay at the Crowne Plaza Lijiang. The room size was comfortable to fit our family of 4, and did not feel claustrophobic even after our request for an extra bed to be put in. Via the hotel's North gate exit, we took a charming walk to heart of the Dayan Ancient Town, passing by some local back allies & nooks which were not part of the commercial main strip. It was refreshing to return to the hotel to while away a few idyllic hours at the hotel lounge area, we thought the afternoon high tea set was very reasonably priced & well-presented. The hotel grounds were well-maintained, though when we were there, the outdoor pond area was being upgraded. The 2 hotel shops in the lower ground were abit dark and lifeless (closed during most of the day while we were there), so I couldn't help but wonder if the space could be put to better use.

Nice services and dedicated Chinese style building”
In my two-days family trip in Lijiang, we spent whole night hanging around Lijiang, and easily walked back to Hotel at 11 pm. It has not only a nice location, but also fascinating decoration and building. Since we booked this hotel through Agoda, it's not expensive. Worth of recommendation.

Relaxing and pleasant stay”
We enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Our room was also upgraded. The staffs were always helpful n obliging. The rooms were large, neat n clean. Its location was right next to Lijiang Old Town. The only drawback was the buffet breakfast which would cater to chinese taste bud than western/international guest. Overall still a great hotel

Beautiful hotel with quick access to old town”
I am glad I chose this hotel as it provides fast access to Lijiang Old Town, the side entrance is just in the next lane beside the hotel. The hotel grounds are beautiful and serene which makes a great entrance once you return from the crowds and queues which you find everywhere at the tourist attractions. Spent a therapeutic 2 hours at the Tea Tree Spa and throughly enjoyed the sports massage which I needed after the day trip to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The Thai food at Basil Restaurant was pretty authentic and service was attentive.

Lovely rooms, beautiful grounds, great location”
The Crown Plaza is well-maintained and comfortable. Room service is prompt and reliable, and the breakfast buffet has plenty of good options for western and Asian palates. We paid $230 per night U.S. for a well-appointed room with a huge, luxurious tub that was perfect for soaks after long walks through Lijiang's ancient town. This hotel offers a complete escape from the noise and tourists and a Western standard of luxury. While it's not inexpensive, it's a good value for the quiet, and the quality of the room and grounds. Staff speak enough English to check you in and answer basic questions, but not to help you find local attractions (navigating Old Town is a particular challenge), so do your research ahead of time or hire a guide. Limited range of Western television options is probably due to the Chinese government, and not the hotel?

Grand hotel behind Lijiang old town”
Crowne Plaza Lijiang is located in the south east corner of Lijiang old town. It has a grand looking entrance but no chairs or sofas in the reception area, you will need to go to the cafe lounge if you need to wait for your room. The check in was pretty efficient even though the lady was trying to convince me to pay for an upgrade, just to try out a more luxurious room. The rooms are in separate buildings where there are 6 rooms to a block. There isn't any view as the rooms face each other, you will hear the air conditioner buzzing noise if you leave the window open. There is a rear gate opening to a pathway to Lijiang old town. However, the walkways are extremely confusing without any signages, you will have to remember the shops to mark the way you come from. Overall, the hotel is clean and it is everything we expected.

Good hotel but heat didn't work!”
We liked this hotel very much and thought our Superior Room was an excellent value for the money. However, the heat didn't work well! This was unacceptable in the Lijiang Winter, where at night it was below 0C / 32F. It made our stay unpleasant because we had to be bundled up and started shivering in the room. Otherwise, this hotel was very impressive and is in a good location for exploring the old town.

Excellent location, superb staff”
Crowne Plaza is a beautiful hotel just next to Dayan old town. It is beautifully landscaped and the moment you stepped out of the back door, you'll find yourself in the old town. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and attentive to your needs. They answer all our questions to the best of their ability. Go to their western restaurant where they serve a fabulous apple clove cake. The staff in their Chinese restaurant are equally impressive and make good recommendations without being pushy. The room is a tad cold though during the winter month and the pool at 28 degree Celsius is still a tad too cold.

hotel is conveniently located near lijiang old town. room is comfy with enough toileteries. also equipped with BOSE stereo, Philips DVD Player . however, do not expect personalisaton from the hotel. no special treatment even though we check in on our birthdays.
