Comfortable in Phu Quoc”
We rented a beach bungalow. It was large with large bathroom, hot water and working refrigerator. The service was great! Breakfast was good enough. The omelettes were made to order and perfect. The buffet was good Asian food. Unfortunately for me they put a lot of sugar in the coffee pot so it was undrinkable for me. The tea had two weak tea bags in a pot of hot water, some mornings extra tea bags were available which helped. We always travel with tea so that helped. The resort is really pretty and well kept. The staff treat you with respect and kindness always. Daily room clean with fresh towels and water. So happy I stayed on the beach and not across the street from it. The beach is nice but very narrow. Not enough space to lay a towel! The beach hotels all have a lounger to relax for guests..

It’s on the beach, my bungalow was basic but clean. The cleaning staff were exceptional and courteous. All staff would do whatever, to make your stay pleasant. Great bed, peaceful surrounds, ocean lapping at my front door. Breakfast maybe 6/10, only my opinion. Generally a great place to stay even if it is a little dated.

Good but not great”
Stayed in the beach side bungalows, we expected it to be a little old but it was in a bad state. The bed was just holding together, the AC barely worked and was noisy and needed a good renovation, but it was great walking out straight onto the beach. The staff are very helpful but we were disappointed with breakfast. We only had a buffet on our first morning, after that it was just a continental breakfast due to not a lot of guests staying at the hotel. Understandable but still disappointing. The pool is great but in need of repairs with many broken tiles and needs a good vaccuum. Perfect location off the main street but close to plenty of eating options. We certainly enjoyed our stay there and can see that this resort would have been amazing in its day, but is in need of lots of renovations. Would certainly stay there again.
Very dissapointing”
We booked a room in a resort building with a sea view, but the windows were so dirty that nothing could be seen through them, and the entire building inside was not cleaned at all. The room photos didn't reflect the actual state of the facility, which is run-down. There was no option to cancel the room, so we had to decide to upgrade to a beachside house, as we didn’t want to stay in that room for the entire stay because of its condition. The upgrade was at an extra cost, with a small discount, but the beach house was still in poor condition with dirty walls. The proximity to the sea and beach somewhat compensated for the inconveniences. The breakfasts were monotonous and rather meager. The pool was poorly filtered. The staff was friendly but lacked imagination. Overall, the exterior of the building presents itself quite promisingly, but it's only a facade, which is even more frustrating. Therefore, if renting, opt for a beachside house or a room in the garden, but be aware of the lack of renovations in the rooms for a very long time.
Great beach front location ”
I’m Here at the resort as I write this review. We have a beach front bungalow, the beach and water are beautiful , the bungalows terrace is great with an amazing view. The actual bungalow once inside is shabby. Very outdated , the wood inside the wardrobes is rotting, if you touch it it breaks. Broken tiles in the bathroom, large gaps in the entrance door giving easy access to all kinds of bugs, the lock is vety simple and would be easy to force open , the safe in the wardrobe is not secured down so it could be removed even though it’s heavy. The path outside the bungalows also has broken tiles. It’s such a shame to be saying this has these bungalows have so much potential to be made beautiful at a low cost so I can’t understand why the management have let it get so run down . The pool area is nice and most of the staff are nice but their English is limited. I would still recommend it due to its location but big improvements are desperately needed.
